Acting Director, Information, Mr. Soji Oye, disclosed this in a statement on Friday.
The appointment followed NJC’s earlier recommendation of the two candidates to the President.
According to Oye, the two Justices who were formerly of the Court of Appeal will be sworn in on Monday by the outgoing Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Mahmud Mohammed, who retires on November 10.
The appointment will bring the number of the justices of the apex court to 15 by the time the CJN retires on Thursday.
The statement read in part, “The two honourable justices will be sworn-in by the Hon. Chief Justice of Nigeria and Chairman of the National Judicial Council, Hon. Justice Mahmud Mohammed, GCON, on Monday 7th November, 2016 at 2.00 pm in the Supreme Court of Nigeria.”
