In an effort to empower women, Mrs Aisha Buhari’s Future Assured in collaboration with the National Directorate of Employment will train over 2200 women on income generating activities with a view to empowering them with various skills and entrepreneurial training.
The skills outlined for the training are environment specific and competitive in Nature, they have been designed to assist women commence small scale businesses on completion of training, these include cosmetology, Beads Stringing, Interior Decoration, Event Management, Gele Tying & Make Up, Shoe and Bag Production.

The aim of this training is to enhance the economic power and the standard of our women and by extension, improve the lives of families as a whole.
The project was launched in Katsina earlier this year.
At the event Mrs. Aisha Buhari distributed 5000 maternity kits to expectant mothers, these kits have all the basic needs for women at child birth and the immediate needs of a new born child, Mrs Buhari encouraged expectant mothers to attend Antenatal Clinic and new mothers to make their children available for immunization.
She stressed that her initiative would continue to support government programmes and projects to make life more meaningful to Nigerians especially at the grassroot.

ReplyDeletehmmmmm.... stella i was there yesterday ooo nothing happened which 5000 pregnant women they give maternity things... anyway we left early i will call the people that stayed behind if they got anything... in fact all the women present there were not up to 5000...
