  31. I'm just on my bed, flashing back to those days during Christmas periods, their was this man every 20th of December, he will call all the children in the compound (note:it is a 3 storey building. I don't want to see face me I face you mocking reply under my comment. Lol) he will bring out mint #10 note and be giving us one note each. Mehn!!! The joy in me is more than the joy I get when other people gave me higher denomination but old note.
Here is the painful part. I will convince my siblings and collect theirs and use the old note and go with them to Mark those balloons that you can never win the big one. The next tin I will hear from my mum is "Chike, I have collected your money from your bag. I want to use it buy something. I will pay you back" Omo, come see tears running down from my eyes like river Niger. I will tell her "Mummy, please leave the new notes for me" she will say no. After crying I will sleep there.
Fast forward to after December, here is our discussion :
Me: mummy, what of my money.
    Mum: which money?
Me: the one you collected during Xmas and promised to pay back.
Mum: don't worry you will suck it from my breast.
Me:but I am no longer sucking breast.
Mum:by the way all the food you have been eating in my house have you paid for it before?
Me: but daddy was the one who brought money for the food.
Mum: common get out of here and stop disturbing me.
Chai!!! That time I will know that I have been scammed big time. I will resume another section if crying, after that I will sleep where I cried myself out.
But history kept repeating itself till I grew up. Lol
Mothers are blessing. Sometimes I remind her of her debt and we will laugh it out.
But some people that time can be stingy. During that Xmas period we Igbos tell our elderly ones something like "Brother/Aunty gbalum Christmas (dance Xmas for me.it literally means give me something for Xmas)" instead of them to give you money or gift they will start dancing for you. That thing can annoy the good outta me that time. Hhahahahahahahhahahaha. My Igbo people can relate.

  67. And someone up there thinks she isn't pretty.Ha!How is that even possible?Your looks should be your standard of beauty.Your definition of good-looking.You should be able to realise that there are many different kinds of beauty and the way you look is one of them.Don't ever say this rubbish about yourself again. You may look different from all the people you think are beautiful but that doesn't mean the way you look isn't just as beautiful.
Practical test-list out all the actresses and celebrities you know who people think are beautiful.Pick from this list the ones that have your body shape, your eyes, your nose, your lips, your height, your skin color....the ones with features like yours.I bet you will never think of yourself as 'not pretty' anymore.

I have stayed away from church for so long and just when I decided to recommit to God, obstacles start hitting me in the face. I made it to 1st Sunday in October..was really looking forward to being in church today.*Sadface*
