    1. Yes ooooooo.I am proudly Yoruba but I so respect Benin Kingdom. The Benin has been able to maintain the dignity of the throne despite how people have sold their pride for pots of porridge. The late Oba of Benin was in a class of his own.No time for nonsense and radarada. All hail The Benin Kingdom.

  24. I laugh at some of the comments here. Please BVs things like this should make us learn more. First, people are not gathered to look at the car. This gathering was in front of his church where he went for thanksgiving yesterday. People gathered to catch a glimpse of the new oba. Secondly, the palace of the oba of Benin is hundreds of years old but new structures were built there recently and a part if that is what is in the first picture. There is probably no more resemblance between this & that of the Ooni than the colour of the walls. The traditional colours of the binis are; white and red. The people do not pay any money(ies) to their oba. There are good roads in Benin infact the Airport road and many others are eight lanes beautified by flowers and with functional solar-powered streetlights. The oba's palacr covers a very large land mass. There are only the Great Britain and the Great Benin Kingdoms left in the whole world. The bini history and tradition is very rich and interesting. P.S. I'm not bini but live in Benin.
