I'd like to answer a question. people keep asking, how will I do it? I'm scared.
When the time comes you will do it. God has given women that grace. Whether na cs or na vaginal o! You go do am. Borning na borning. Birthing the baby is the easiest.
Being pregnant is such a hard thing. And I'm grateful to God a lot of us are able to share our stories. For every LRD shared here, may God give 10 women the fruit of the womb with grace and favor to carry to term and put to birth and hold their babies in their hands in Jesus precious name.
So my story.
I was very busy on this day. Doing a lot of things at home for the house and for the unborn baby. I was done at 8pm and I went up and as soon as I walked into the room, I went straight to my hospital bag and zipped it. Little did I know.
And then I jumped into my bed.i slept off and at 10:30pm, I had the urge to pee. We dey piss 5 times before morning. Pissing frequency in pregnancy is very high. I don piss for bed before. I think say na dream.
I woke up and went to the toilet. I took off my panties and I got the biggest scare of my life. BLOOD! Blood like someone that had been stabbed. Ah ahn! Wetin be this?
I just told myself I'll wait till the next morning which was my 38th week doctors appointment. But just then, a huge clot fell out of my vagina. That was Gods sign for me to get up and move. I called my sister, she walked in to my room and said get up let me see. I stood up and she screamed and said we need to go to the hospital NOW! Call your doctor.
All of a sudden I started to shiver with correct gnashing of teeth. GaGaGaGaGaGa! Whether na cold, whether na fear, I no know. At this point I couldn't even pray. The devil had started a communion service of confusion in my head.
We got to the hospital and they brought a wheelchair and wheeled me in. Like 6 nurses came on me. I took off my clothes, shame dey catch me I still wear pant. They just used scissors to cut the pant. Chook better hand inside my toto. The nurse just said no dilation but this baby needs to come out NOW!
Brethren, I just dey look like lukman. I no even know wetin to talk or which question to ask. The head nurse came and asked a question about me having a low lying placenta and I said well at 20wks it was low but the doctor said it will come up with time. As soon as I said that, they doubled their speed o Everybody begin run upandan pressing all kinds of buzzer. I hate needles. If I see needle, me and the holder must negotiate but no time for negotiation. them dey chook me I no even shout. (The reason I said when that time comes, you will do it).
They drew lines on both arms. 10mins later, anesthesiologist come with plenty talk. As he just started reassuring me, my shivering doubled. I begin cry.
Then they Started petting me, telling me it will be alright. Guys, I took epidural for riii mehn you know am sayin'! Me wey dey fear injection and guess what, I took it like a man. Before I know wetin dey happen, these people begin ask me lie lie question. "Do you feel anything, blah blah blah. Them don tear me. The anesthesiologist was still there at my head with a disposable sick plate. They expected me to throw up. Whosai!
They wanted to see my egusi wey I chop for afternoon. And at midnight my princess came. They flashed her and then took her away. I didn't see her till the break of dawn. No labour, no pain! Just the favor and grace of God. Recovery wasn't so bad. If I'll have 5 more babies, na cs o. Push wetin??
Pictures of my princess for your eyes. The child that God used to give me a second chance and show me how to correct my mistakes of the past. God bless you S to D K!
Chai see fine photos oooooh.....*As a rich BV that you IS nowwwwwww*

ReplyDeleteNext time make sure you go to a consultant to book your CS on time. That can lead to death of a mother and the baby due to loss of blood.
Really? But when you say book CS with consultant doea that mean that women with PP must not be in labour? Please those of you that knw some of this things should teach us na. It mustn't be an epistle. I'm a mom but I learn smthg when I read LRD.

ReplyDeleteBelow are the reasons why I loved your LRD:
ReplyDelete1. You started right and ended right. Your story started the day of labour and ended as soon as you gave birth. Some BVs will even tell us abt the knacking that resulted in the pregnancy and the homecoming afterwards.
2. your sense of humour is quite nice. you were funny without trying to.
3. There was no unnecessary drama. you told us plainly about your fears and how the whole thing went. BVs will add salt and pepper about how they insulted all the nurses/DH and how their DH was crying for them ecetara ecetara.
Chop kiss jor...Thank God for your bundle of joy.

Praying for safe delivery when the time comes@ marriedchick
Yeah! She has Minor Placenta Previa. If it was major she would have been bleeding all through pregnancy. Next time, book a CS date ASAP. It's usually done at the 38th month cos the woman MUST not go into labour. this could lead to hemorrhage.
ReplyDeletePush wetin? i like your ideology my dear. I never and will never PUSH... lmao
Thanks for elaborating cos I just asked about the labour part.
DeleteGod bless you and your baby oo!
ReplyDeleteBVs please what is the effect of taking castor oil when in labour? i heard it aids quick delivery? abeg how true is that? # make i go buy 5 litres lol#

DeleteI used castor oil during my two pregnancies, @ 40th week and strictly prescribed by my Doctor after he had checked me out via his fingers. I took 200ml, though I warmed it with micro wave. And labour commenced after 2 hours.
DeleteThank God it ends in praise.
