Kidnapped Wife Of CBN Governor Released

Wife of Central Bank of Nigeria ( CBN) Governor, Mrs Margaret Emefiele, kidnapped some 24 hours before, has been released by her abductors.

According to family sources she was rescued “due to the gallantry of the Armed Forces, Police and Security Forces”, in Ugoneki near Benin City and is currently recuperating in Government House, Asaba.

THISDAY and other mainstream media had delayed the story, Friday due to an appeal from the Emefiele family given the sensitivity of the negotiations for her release from the kidnappers yesterday.

*I am happy she came out alive..just wondering if they paid that money requested by the idiots.I am sure they will deny paying but i hope the notes were marked to catch the idiots later....

    5. I'm sure they'll catch her abductors. If not, then a big shame on the Nigerian police force if money was actually paid and nobody was caught.

    1. Of course. Otherwise they'll keep recording high profile cases of kidnap everyday.

  6. Mrs korkus, did I read where you wrote make notes?
Madam, most of those kidnappers are graduates, so they are wise professionals...

  7. If she was released because of the gallantry of the armed forces, then why didn't they catch her captors

  9. Hahaaaaan, Stella why are you calling them idiots.. they would not have hurt her. They just needed the money. When there's nothing to survive on, the poor will start eating the rich. I'm glad the kidnapers now know where to channel their anger on. They should keep kidnaping the rich(those that enriched themselves using government funds) obtain money from their families and free them.
