Word For Today - Faith Always Wins

Word for today (WFT) Is now a stand alone post because the word of God is bigger than in house news where it used to featured but not anymore as from today...lol

Word for today can be anything as long as it preaches to our souls...
This segment to be stand alone was proposed by BV Imabong who will be sending in articles, however anyone is free to participate in sending in something that will bless us in these 'funny' times and give us hope.

FAITH ALWAYS WINS!

Faith is a currency and with it, nothing can ever be impossible to anyone that has it. It is a winning currency and wins in all circumstance and situation no matter how long or at what state that condition is. Faith is also our shield and with it, we can quench ALL the fairy darts of the enemy. Note the word "ALL".

Our situation, whether financial, health, marital, spiritual etc is covered by that word. We must never allow any situation we face to get us frustrated. We must refuse to be rated or defined by our circumstance.  Every adversity we face is our opportunity to experience and manifest the glory of God:   “For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory” (2 Corinthians 4:17).

No matter what we go through in life, it will turn out for our good, as long as we turn our eyes away from the conditions or circumstances, to the Word of God.  Hebrews 12:2 says, “Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith….”

Things might not exactly be going as we have expected but we have to maintain a positive outlook and confession especially, the confession of God's Word. How we feel at any point in time and the  things we see with our physical eyes are subject to change but the word of God can never change.

We should never accept defeat nor give in to sickness or anything we are going through or hurting us. We must remember never to say, “I am sick,” just because we notice some symptoms in our body. Faith doesn’t consider the symptoms or circumstances. Faith considers the Word.

Symptoms or the doctor’s diagnosis shouldn’t change our confession.

We MUST Keep the Word in our mouth. Instead of 'I am sick', say "I am in Healthy". Keep confessing and declaring the result you want to see and before long you will see yourself walking in health. Don't give up or be discouraged.

Take up that shield of faith and you are sure to overcome.

FAITH ALWAYS WINS.

  2. I still go to the church to pray and I tithe; even in these hard times and this is how:

I do like to enter the church in my city to pray during the day; especially on the days that I am off duty. Each time I entered the catholic church (I am not a catholic; I am without denomination), not only do I pray well without "harassment" but sometimes, I will be there for 2 hours and by the time I am about to leave, some of the people I met there are not in any way preparing to leave. I am usually challenged by these people. Several time, I had stopped by the "mega churches" (Redeemed for e.g.) to pray, they looked at me like I've come to steal, most of their parishes are under lock and key. is it only the orthodox churches that are "house of prayer"?

Really I have learnt to do house fellowships to learn the scriptures with other like minded Christians and have not gone or needed any of these churches in the last 5 years. I grow very well in the Lord and we do go online (social media)/prisons for evangelism. If you are a Christian who do not pray and fast and study your bible, very soon, every wind of doctrine will ferry you!
Again, why is every girl (especially fair ones) that go to these "mega churches" put on "deliverance for 21 days"? Did Christ or his disciples do that. One of the teenage girls on my street after being put through such "deliverance' was also "put in the family way". The worst is that she does not know the father of her child because multiple "deliverance ministers" had her. Thank God she got saved during her pregnancy and delivered a healthy baby boy. Or should I talk about the "Rev. Fathers" that browse the girls in their congregations.
For those of you who would "rattle" about tithing; I pay it very well to strangers (prisoners and street kids rehabilitation), widows, orphans, and some missionaries (who of course have no other means of livelihood); if you care to, you can read the scriptures; Deut. 14:28, 26:12, practiced in the NT; Acts 6:1-6, 1 Tim. 5:9, James 1:27. A lot of you will be surprised that I did not start my quotation from Malachi 3. the point is that "God's house has become as spiritual house (1 Pet. 2:5-9). By God's grace, I've taken many kids off the street, enabled widows begin small scale businesses, helped missionaries out of poverty etc. and I am not lacking in the blessings" from the Lord. I feel more fulfilled.

  7. Beautiful words. with a little faith you can move the mountain blocking your way.

Anon 10:14 giving to widows, ophans etc is an alms that Jesus has put down, so you are free to give to them.

Paying your tithe helps to drive away the armies (cankerworm, palmerworm, caterpilla) out of your way and your families.

Pay your tithe and it is God's word written black and white. So stop discouraging others from paying. If you dont pay, that does not mean the work of God will not move forward. The work of God is unstoppable. get that.

    1. Your write up sounds so selfish. What God should do and has not done for you. Towards the end though you retraced your step but in all you sounded like someone very ungrateful to God. Yes we get weak atimes but His grace is sufficient.
Are you really a child of God?i mean a born again?
Have you come across the verse in the bible that says "whatsoever you ask in my name I will do,if you love me,keep my commandments. Do you keep His commandments truly? Or Are you like Job,justified before yourself.
Have you ever taken out time to appreciate Him for your life since you were born or appreciate Him for creation?
What are you doing for God with your strength? Winning soul?working in the church? Serving the less privileged etc?
Is God your God only when you are in need?
There are so many things my dear before you conclude that God has forgotten you, and if you are truly a child of God,your trials are only steps to your glory. You must not forget that as long as you have declared for God,tribulations and persecutions will come but in it,you must rejoice because Jesus Christ has overcome the world. A crown awaits those who overcomes,so try to overcome.

    2. Atheist's side boo7 September 2016 at 16:55

In their most inner thoughts, even the most devout Christians know that there is something illegitimate about belief.
Underneath their profession of faith is a sleeping giant of doubt........ In my experience, the best way to conquer doubt is to yield to it.

  16. I'm in love with this piece, feel uplifted reading this. The last couple of weeks have been terrible for me, my fiance just broke up with me on the day we earlier picked for introduction because of the slight issues we've been having.
I am deeply hurt as this happened to be my first relationship at age 28. I am happy this happened now and not after marriage but I can't stop feeling disappointed. Just can't stop crying even at work. I strongly believe it's for the best.
