Even school is increasing bills and we're bearing the brunt.
But you know what? God has been faithful. Even when there's nothing, he'll provide.
It's the grace of God we made it this far.
It will end in praise, i will tell my kids i survived buhari times.
I lost my job during Buhari times. Hubby is doing his best to provide for the family.
DeleteWe have our baby on the way. We don't even have money to buy baby things.
My biz isn't yielding as much profit.
People aren't willing to help. Always saying Buhari this n that
I just trust God to provide.
I remember back then how we used to complain about eating rice everyday, like play like play rice consumption is now from daily to once in a while... The food we hate eating most, Beans is now the order of the day... God have mercy.....

Stop rubbing shoulders with the women on this blog, you are supposed to be a man.
#Long#
Deletewhat's your expectation from a clueless government?
DeleteThings have really changed. Before now, every month I stock the house with foodstuff and 'ipapanu' for my kids. Now, I make sure food is the only stuff I buy and for the ipapanu, when there's xtra, they largesse, if not na to show 'understanding'. School fees increased and cost of transportation sky rocketed.
DeleteThe exchange rate is so bad. When we travelled last xmas, had to change a pound for 390 and I was complaining bitterly,as of yesterday, a pound was over 570... na to sit down for abuja this year... it's so disheartening. .we need a miracle .
ReplyDeleteMeanwhile everything in the market is now so expensive . From butter to flour to eggs. Sugar is even worse. May God grant buhari and all Nigerians the grace to get our economy back on track .
Amen
DeleteA carton of indomie is now #1,900, Lord have mercy
DeleteEven Nutella which I bought a week ago for 1000naira now 1200naira and I stood for some minutes thinking whether to buy it or not but my lil girl will not be happy if daddy didn't buy her Nutella. ReplyDeleteThe Second Coming of Christ will not pass year 2030 maximum... This is just the beginning, the world is in for some rude shock and suffering but the children of God wont be affected... Rapture is near.. idikwa holy? If not, nke gi ekpomee....
God forbid. By 2030,I'll still be young, so not yet biko
DeleteAs long as there is God is children most survive, times are hard no doubts but na same hustle and struggle we dey, looking up to baba God alone and not Buhari
ReplyDeleteWe will survive
ReplyDeleteWe will survive
ReplyDeleteIn short they should bring back our Nigerian kwarruption. Everything is going up up up.

The cost of living is now so so expensive... Everything has added money.. God save us
ReplyDeleteone congo of rice is now 600naiara! Buhari God pass you
ReplyDeleteI lost my job, no thanks to Buhari times.
ReplyDeleteIt's not been easy, I have never been this idle all my life. It's just a month but it seems like it's a year already. Getting frustrated...
On a lighter note, I need a sugar daddy. A very wealthy, almost dying man. His children must be very rich and based abroad.
Thank you...
Wow so sorry to hear that.. Maybe you should invest in that thing people are talking about. Start small to test the waters. I pray you find something doing soon.
DeleteHeya how sad
DeleteIn this same Buhari times
The Almighty will bless you with a better job
All foodstuffs are now times 2/3, what they were before, Is only God
ReplyDeleteIt's like living a nightmare. Food and drug prices are going up every week, salaries are the same and to crown it all up, people are losing their jobs
ReplyDeleteIt is well. Complaining has never helped.
ReplyDeleteEverything Stella, everything.
ReplyDeleteThe cost of living has skyrocketed.
Small sachet butter of 20naira is now 40naira..
Sure deodorant of 700 is now 1,300 in my neighbourhood store.
Only God can pull us out of this quagmire.
Things went from bad to worse for my family, mum who works in a daycare was only paind half salary since there weren't infants to take care of during the holidays. Younger sister who attends a public school now have to pay 8K as against 5K they were paying before they went for the long holiday. I on my side just managing menial jobs around, proceed from it is what we use to feed. Abeg jare I just tire.
ReplyDeleteI'm hopeful because I serve a Living God
ReplyDeleteThe price of bags of coconut keep increasing daily

ReplyDeleteI am someone that used to have a reasonable amount of money stashed aside for the rainy day but now story has CHANGED. This Buhari time, savings is no more. I am now someone that waits for my monthly money. My savings got spent fast due to rise in standard of living, my salary slashed at different times, the rate of people coming to me for help is high and of course my darling baby refuses Ogi/pap and baby milk is now so expensive I shiver!
ReplyDeleteThings are going south. I went to the market the other day and wonder what i bought with the money. I just hate this change abg.
ReplyDeleteIncrease in food prices,no more allowances in our salaries, increase in transport fares, school fees have skyrocketed and high house rents.
ReplyDeleteBut since my God is the great provider,my family is not shaken!!!
Everything is same, cos I gave up on the Nigeria government long before buhari came on board because we were not being paid salaries then, so same hustle.
ReplyDeleteEverything is expensive
ReplyDeleteAlot of things has changed.
ReplyDeleteWell, it went south for us but in all things we bless God. Many workers in my husband's office were demoted and salaries were slashed to pittance. Imagine someone previously earning about 400k now earning less than 200k after tax. God if what they did pleases you, it pleases us too.
ReplyDeletewhen they say there is a casting down i will say there is a lifting up. That's my new anthem.
ReplyDeleteHa,stella, everything oo,i went to the market, everything has increased with over 100%. Beans from 400 to 550,something that was 250 before buhari came in,rice nko, story for another day.
ReplyDeleteThe only thing that has remained the same in Nigeria is the constant blame game.
May God help us,an th govet ha refused to increase salary.
Kk
ReplyDeleteWell for me.this buhari times has brought lot of blessing to me.
ReplyDeleteI thank God for that

Stella na we business people dey hear nwii. Main mkt Onitsha is a shadow of its old self. Sales are poor, exchange rate is off the hook. But God is still in the business of blessing people. He is my shepherd and I shall not want.
ReplyDeleteabeg who know where APC market dey because with high cost rate of goods in the market I feel there is a secret market for APC people with cheaper prices
ReplyDeleteabeg who know where APC market dey because with high cost rate of goods in the market I feel there is a secret market for APC people with cheaper prices
ReplyDeleteEverything. Excahnge rate, Fuel, Foodstuff, biscuit, cheeseballs is 6inside the pack, courtesy of change.
ReplyDeleteI've been so broke, I haven't made my hair in a while...
ReplyDeleteAll my shoes and bag don old sef
If say I get one job now, shey I for dey manage...Lord Jesus, please de-throne buhari and bless me
So making hair is your problem. I haven't made my hair in over three months and God has been so faithful that all people ask is "is that your hair" "what are u using ", so you better adjust. Thank God sey suffer no dey show for face. Even if we don't see three sq meals, God is so faithful that u can never suspect, he keeps his own.
DeletePrice of foodstuffs has increased drastically.
ReplyDeleteGod will surely see us through.
ReplyDeleteMy goods were seized after I had to get forex in cut throat price
ReplyDeleteI try sell land sef to pay bills everyone is pricing it like pepper and tomato
Imagine selling my kids inheritance ooh
Chai!z
May God help us
Some big men are crying too. The price of goods increase almost every day. May God help us.
ReplyDeleteIn all things give thanks. I live on junks now just to save. Buhari na evil spirit na with his demons. I still give thanks.
DeleteThis change affected me both positively and negatively.
ReplyDeleteLet me talk of the positive aspects before the negative.
For awhile now I have been wanting to dedicate more time to God but work keeps stopping me. Finally this year I took the first step to doing that. I found Christ and since then he's been my strength. I also wanted to develop my passion or should I even call it hobbies which are cooking and teaching (life coach). This buhari times gave me the opportunity to do more of the two. I started going round preaching and talking more. Sometimes when I organize meetings at home, I cook and my guests always loved my cooking. I'm beginning to consider opening a restaurant...
Negatively, exchange rate affected some parents that I was working on their kids admission. Most of them said till things change. People even fly less now.
Most builders are letting their engineers do the finishing of their houses now. They tell you that they are just managing to finish the building. Nobody is buying bullet proof doors. They prefer China door. For almost one year, I have not sold a single bullet proof door or window. The last tiles we shipped from Spain is still there because the prices tripled due to exchange rate. Now importation of doors and furnitures are considered contrabands. The exchange rate killed businesses and is still killing.
The main cause of this whole problem is that our president is not an intelligent man. He's old and has nothing upstairs except for being a former military head of states.
Obasanjo met worst. But he brought in experts like our very own okonjo. She's intelligent and exposed. She gave her best and the country "flourished" to an extent.
He had so many young gurus that he was paying for consultation. He did not place them on salaries. He gets their services when he needs them to brainstorm on a policy that is about to be imposed. He uses them to scrutinize all policies and if they said it won't sail baba will tell Okonjo to forget about it. She was monitored and her excesses curtailed.
Buhari's problem is that he is stingy, bitter and very myopic. Common sense is lacking where buhari is. What you cannot do, get capable hands to do it for you. Get genius, pay them secretly and let them tell you how it is done. He surrounded himself with bitter people and saddists like him. Like I always tell people; buhari is not my candidate and I don't even have voters card. When I see a man that will move Nigeria forward I will go and get voters card. I don't like Jonathan and not a fan of ApC but just a believer of a better Nigeria. I still have faith that Nigeria will get better under this administration because if it becomes better we will all enjoy the fattening.
God bless the federal republic of Nigria.
Jesus,must you
DeleteLove you for this
DeleteSad.
DeleteNwa Amaka stop lying .U were a strong buhari supporter. Is it today that you suddenly know that he is bitter and myopic?
DeleteYes I must @ Tayan Taylor.
DeleteYou are just yarning rubbish, even during Obasanjo regime people were still complaining. I ran to Uk during that period, so madam think before you talk.
DeleteYou are just yarning rubbish, even during Obasanjo regime people were still complaining. I ran to Uk during that period, so madam think before you talk.
DeleteEvery thing is high, I still give God thanks for keeping me alive.
ReplyDeleteOne hardly saves cos one is forced to spend the little they have, abi person no go chop again?? It is well sha

Kwakwakwaka even me that earns pea nuts now hides from answering some certain calls. We need God's intervention and maybe a new leader.

This burahi time eh, the way things double in prices really baffles me. One cannot buy food anymore o.
ReplyDeleteBiz is slow! Kfc original chicken is now 500 naira then thier drink in a cup is now 250 *tears* Chineke y!
ReplyDeleteKELVIN DAT EDO BOI (STELLZ COUSIN)
You think kfc is food? Poor you.
DeleteWith your weight, you should be eating healthy. Stop eating junk!!!
DeleteIn this buhari time, God made it possible for my family to start our building projects, though things are expensive, cement is now 2200, but my God is able
ReplyDeleteI don,t think there is anything that has not gone up in the market, including waterproof, things are getting really bad,but in all we give God all the glory that we are among the living. When there is life there is hope.
ReplyDeleteI have refused to think about all I enjoyed that has gone, haven't saved any money yet I get paid every month.we need God's intervention bt I knw it will come to pass, may God give us d grace to wait till our change comes..job 14:14
ReplyDeleteHmmmmmmmm, God will help His people. I can't but pray for God's mercy and favor. Everything is so expensive. D worse part is bin dependent on husby lik a parasitic plant. Has not bin easy for him too. God pick my call and gv me a job asap.
ReplyDeleteHmmm...infact Stella, I don tire. I've been off job for almost 3 years now and was hoping to secure one this year but for where. Hubby works with a financial institution so atleast we can feed but it hasn't been easy.
ReplyDeleteWe were looking forward to his promotion this year so to ease things but that never happened (cos of economic situation). Right now, we are stuck where we are with a baby on the way and 2 beautiful kids to cater for. The thought of 2017 scares me so much cos I don't how we're gonna pull through if things don't change(me getting a job or another stream of income opening up for us). Things have really changed as our feeding has dropped and at a point, I was considering moving school for my kids. God help us though as I still believe he's more than able.
Everything has change from rice to semovita, I bought a bag of semo for 3000 chisos!!! Mhen it just in sane. See crate of egg I usually buy for 650 is now 900 WTF!!! I just tire for this wind of change blowing.
ReplyDeleteAm I pissed? Yes I am seriously PISSED!!!
*Hangs leg on the cupboard*
You no piss at all, if you piss u no go hang leg.
DeleteYou no piss at all, if you piss u no go hang leg.
DeleteStella thank you for raising this discussion. I taught I was the only one or few people around me, but reading the comments here makes me feel relieved partially. I had put my property on sale but the offer is way too low. My younger brother has not been paid for over 7 months. They lost their baby because they dint go for Antenatal and could not afford good hospital. Let us all pray to vote out this clueless man. I still believe this problem can be solved if this man gives way for others to stir the affairs of this nation. According to economic experts, it might get worse if we continue this way. one Dollar now is almost N500 Naira. I burry my head now in the office because I voted for this government. Now my good organisation is broke due to high exchange rate. Salaries of Aug and Sept are yet to be paid. God help us!!! I also thank you Lord that I am still alive.
ReplyDeleteBuhari caused my former employers to owe me salaries, that led me to where I am today. Pls I need a job in Lagos.
ReplyDeleteBusiness is really slow..only few people are thinking of taking care of hair dis period
ReplyDeleteBuhari made feeding a luxury in Nigeria. Thank God for the grace to feed well. Thank God for life.
ReplyDeleteIdeato Bride, you are very nasty, you pick on everyone here anyhow, which negative story have I ever brought here before? be careful what you say to people here, it's not just a blog like y'all believe. Change!!! For this world is not how you see it.
I am of the Abrahamic descent, therefore in this season, i become great until i am exceedingly great. AMEN
ReplyDeleteLara peperenpe my sister, God is your strength. He shall surprise us all. Me too I'm just managing this small job instead of staying idle at home. I need a good job, anybody with connections should contact me. I'm in Lagos. Buhari, God is watching you.
ReplyDelete#Happiness is achieved when you stop waiting for your life to begin and start making the most of the moment you are in*
ReplyDeleteMohm'd Buhari increased the prices of everything except salaries. Salaries are being reduced or even owed and people are being sacked. This is affecting us badly. Even menial jobs sef, they will owed you or pay lesser than what was bargain. Telling you they can do it themselves.
ReplyDeleteI lost my banking job, not bin able to get another yet. I pray to God for better oportunity again
ReplyDeleteHmmmm can't remember the last time I sold anything, if i call my peps don't you need new bedsheets and duvets? They will be like for this buhari time? Golden morn of 8500 is now 1100 not to talk of milk, abi na rabina we wan talk about? Things are tough
ReplyDeleteMy fiancee & I can't foot a wedding again o,all thanks to buhari & the economy, no incoming allowances At all, he lost his job.. so we totally Hoping on God now
ReplyDeleteCongrats u r reaping d dividends of ur vote.
DeleteMy buhari story is a story for another day. In summary My business crumbled, no job in town, no money to learn a skill, if you hear what they charge now ehn? Buhari price has reached their side too. All those people that use to say a bv should go and learn a trade, you need to hear the amount of money involved asides learning materials and certificate, if only.. if only.. Hmmm I need a miracle Lord. Na for God hand me and my children dey now.
ReplyDeleteStella my friend, Buhari turned so many bvs into bitter frustrated beings. They come on a blog and assume you are fighting them physically.... Ikwakwakwakwakwakwakwakwa. I can imagine some of them boxing my blog name on their phone screen or computer.............
ReplyDeleteIkwakwakwakwakwakwakwakwakwakwakwakwakwakwakwakwakwakwakwakwakwakwakwakwakwakwakwakwakwakwakwakwakwakwakwakwakwakwa
Nobody should copy this my laugh againooo

My Buhari story...I went to the market with the aim of cooking vegetable soup with orishirishi meat and fish but I ended up cooking Okro soup. Prices of ingredients have doubled.
ReplyDeleteCongrats u voted for change....
DeleteThis Buhari period has made my husband come home immediately after work. No more late night hanging out with friends over drinks and fish in the name of traffic. This Buhari don clear traffic finish o.
ReplyDeleteIt is better said than imagined
ReplyDelete. we closed our bottle water business due to low profit and rising cost of production. Ive been looking for even a teaching job or any job to do cs man must wack but for where. Rejection and dejection everyday everywhere. It is well
All will be well, only trust in the lord
ReplyDeleteShebi i was saying a bottle of plastic fanta is N150, one foolish anonymous was talking rubbish. Now i know why bitterness will not leave some people. No be cause am, na Buhari una vote cause am.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, me i still dey enjoy my lovely office. Let me go and watch telemundo again jare.
Husbands are now going home straight after work.somehow I notice, hold up reduce in lagos and some fun spot around ikeja, surulere, opebi n Allen. All the onishina's now loyal to madams.
ReplyDeleteThe times may be hard but only those who believe will overcome.speaking I'll of buhari will not change the situation all prayer can proverbs 11:11 By the blessing of the upright a city is exalted, but by the mouth of the wicked it is torn down.if only we watch what we say about our country then we say shall see good in our land.if we look inwards and develop other sources of earning for our country other than oil then and then will we begin the journey of recovery from recession let us cut down on our excessive and wasteful spending our craze for aso ebi for any and every party. Let us keep praying for those in authority for courage to make the right decisions.it is well with Nigeria.
ReplyDelete#blessed and highly favoured.
Things are hard now compare to last year. To eat 3 square meal is hard for me as a nursing mother. Lost my 25k job due to low customers banking with us...God look with pity upon Nigeria & have mercy on us. I need a job badly...hubby salary can't sustain d home. Ibadan or Lagos...am ready to work
