Omugwo Chronicles - 49

Wow!!!!

Good day Mrs Korkus 

I just read the omugwo chronicle of my fellow single sister and decided to send in mine.

‎After being raped at 19, I decided to stay away from relationship until I met the love of my life at 22 who later travelled outside the country and left me for a white lady. 

I was heartbroken because I loved him so much and thought he was the one. I shut down totally, stayed away from relationships and pretended to be a mermaid. 

I met a guy in my 2nd year in school that was 8years my senior, thought he was mature being that he was 33 at the time  and decided to give him a chance.the dude was on my case for 6months‎. We dated for three months and I gave him the cookie. 

2weeks after the act, Bros came visiting and confessed to me that the condom broke during the act. Omo see me running to the clinic the following day for HIV test which came out negative.  Thank God!

A month later I was sick and thought it was malaria, I treated the malaria but was still feeling somehow. Went back to my doctor who told me I might be pregnant and asked me to go for pregnancy test. The result came out and indeed I was pregnant. 

I cried my eyes out that night but who crying epp? I called Bros  the following day to tell him I was pregnant ,oga begin dey preach o that he's still a student o, that he can't provide for a baby that I should abort it. I said no and the next thing I hear was that I wanted to trap him with pregnant and all that.

To cut the long story short, I did the whole 9months along without any support from him or his family. Thank God for my eldest sister who took me in,stood by me and played the role of a mother as mummcy is late. After delivery I moved in with my sister's married friend as my sister can not bath or carry small baby neither could I do as I gave birth through CS.  

Na so omugwo start. While my sis friend bath the baby, my sis duty was to wash all baby's clothes and mine and do all the omugwo cooking.

We stayed there for two months and went back to our own house. I suffer Sha! 

My Angel is one year plus now while am presently in school to complete my education. ‎I'm so grateful to my sis friend and my sis. They are the best.

*Hmmmm this sounds more like a chronicle with an Omugwo-ish ending.

Good that you went back to school though....
