Labour Room Drama - 27 And 28

I have one Innocent question to ask..Why are people so scared of giving birth via CS?Does it make anyone less of a person? Is there shame attached to it?

LRD 27
Hi Mrs dimoko thank you for giving us a platform to share our experiences. I am the lady who sent in her chronicles  about the baby mama that send nudes and still there. ...remember i told you am a single mum........

In 2011 when I found out I was preggy at age 19 of course it wasn't a surprise as I was sexually active. ......but I was devastated ahhh....where will I start from who will I run to were the questions I kept asking myself.....my then boyfriend cajoled me into keeping the baby coz he is an only child with a frail and aged mother....

So I decided to keep the baby .....I was in my 3rd year in school so I registered  for ante natal in ijebu igbo coz I schooled in ago iwoye......fast forward to the delivery date coz my edd was 01/30/2016 I had moved to ibadan at my grannys place to hide my shame.....few days to birthing my daughter I was terribly sick I had tyhphoid fever so I was rushed to the hospital and admitted and my mum had to rush down to ibadan ......at some point I couldnt feel my baby's movement .

doctors came to check her heartbeat but kept mute whenever we asked them what was wrong and we noticed they always wore a worried face afterwards ....few hours later I was booked for a cesearian section 'mogbe' my mother exclaimed and began to roll on the floor wailing .I just laid dumb on the bed too weak to cry or talk ....the doctors  didnt give me the opportunity to  even push  or experience the real Labour ......meanwhile my mum was still rolling on the floor my grandma too was wailing .

Baby daddy was in Lagos maybe on top another girl sef (how I wan know).....to cut my long story short, they inserted a catheter  into my vjay kai the pain entered my head oh.....I was wheeled into the theatre and all I remember was the doctor asking me some questions after the aesthetics  I was offffffffff.....hours later I was out of my long sleeeeep I woke up to see my Angel with blue eyeballs and a very fair skin.....my mum carried her and was in tears ....I woke up with prayers in my mouth for my mother as I was moved when i saw her in tears coz my mama isn't usually moved and to me she was 'Margaret Thatcher young sister '.....  but i saw her softer  side that day ........ later the doctors came in to explain that my baby's heartbeat had totally dropped  and there was no single drop of water in my amniotic sack  as the thypoid had  drained the amnotic fluid therefore the baby cldnt breathe well.....but the pain after the stitches no be here oh.....I thank God for his faithfulness since then.

I have attached a picture of her and myself for you to see...shes got a great sense of humour now....

*Your daughter is so lovely but your beauty and slim frame and height caught my attention...Ever thought of trying to model?you have a kind of unique beauty.hope you have settle your chronicles brouhaha?

Back to your LRD,I didnt know that they put someone to sleep during CS,isnt that dangerous, especially with the fact that you were really sick?
Or you mean you fainted during the CS?

...........................................................................................................

LRD 28

Greetings to you darling Stella, I just thought I share my labour room experience, so here it goes.......

When I was 40 weeks, labour still hadn't progressed and cervix too wasn't opening, in fact no contractions at all{ in fact then I would jog from the beginning of the park till the end, street to street with my lil niece, nothing still happened], so by 41 +6 days my midwife booked me to be induced so I packed my hospital bag and off we went and there and then the whole process started from the cervical sweep, they used the gel, oxytocin still nothing worked o, meanwhile the midwife was monitoring my son's heartbeat on the screen and making sure everything was OK.

So hours later o , I still hadn't progressed much, and I was in serious pain, so requested for epidural and that brought down the pain considerably , still few hours nothing happened still.

Then all of a sudden the monitor was making a loud continuous sound and the midwife rushed out and before I knew it about six surgeons including doctors and nurses came in and tried to explain to us that my baby's heartbeat had dropped and since my cervix wasn't opening like it's supposed to that they would have to wheel me to the theatre and get the baby out fast, Coman see shock and fear written on hubby's face, lol.

he started crying profusely saying that I'm someone's child and he doesn't want anything to happen to me and they started petting him that nothing will happen that they carry out many Ceasarian operations daily so he has nothing to be scared of, me sef that was seriously tired was begging him that he shouldn't cry and that  they should just get the baby out that I don't want vaginal birth anymore, lol , so they sha gave him uniform just like theirs and they wheeled me down to the theatre, and hubby was reluctant but I could hear them telling him everything would be fine.

And after 40 mins they brought my son out, lovely boy with a head full of hair, cleaned me up and back to the recovery ward. Well we spent 5days because my son had an infection, blisters on his skin, and they said 'twas because he spent too much time in my belly{41+6days}

Well the experience taught me when twas time to have my second child and due to my previous record they just didn't wanna take any chances again, I was booked for an induction, still labour didn't progress much and eventually did CS the second time. All thanks be to the almighty , abeg sorry for my long epistle, e ma binu😀,

Pic for your eye only Stella 😊😅

*Cheiiii i was tempted to include the photo,omg...see small pikin with sexy bulgy eyes,wow!!!..he must have spent too much looking inside...lol

LMAO @ the 2nd poster, where she wrote how the hubby was crying that nothing should happen to someone's child 'wife'. May God continue to bless our homes. Amen.

  7. Stella I don't know ooooo.... people in Nigeria consider CS as evil. My question then is, Will God give doctors knowledge to create an evil procedure?????? Most women in Nigeria hate to hear CS. In fact if u open ur mouth and say u gave birth via CS u will be told u arnt a complete mother and devil was seriously on ur case. Imagine a procedure that is done to ensure the safety of both mother and child people call a bad thing abi bad luck.

To the posters well done. Thanks for sharing your experiences.

    1. Some Nigerians have serious backwards mentality that's why.

    2. It use to be very risky 80s and even 90s in Nigeria. People dying as a result off not waking up after operation or forgetting things in womb carelessly so don't blame the mother and grand mother crying. The society at large need reorientation that its safer now and one need not sleep while they are at it.

  8. Stella don't be surprised here they take ceasarian as abomination that you're not a woman bl bla bla I have seen women lose their babies because of small mindedness

    ReplyDelete
  9. Ah Stella, in Nigeria no one takes chances o. Some doctors are incompetent and extremely careless to handle cs. That's why the mortality rate for preggy women is high. I'd recommend general hospitals or FMC's for women who wanna have elective cs or even normal delivery. Most of the specialists and consultants who own those expensive private hospitals are all there. They always have the best hands. Just be ready to endure their bullshit and you're good to go.

    ReplyDelete

    1. One million likes for your comment. FMC all the way that is where you meet specialists that will attend to you especially for pregnant women.

    2. No ma!maternal mortality is high because there are many births not attended by trained personnel

  10. U know Africans have a rubbish perception about CS, I lost a cousin years ago cos d husband refused it, when she passed, d CS he was scared of took place but on a corpse. Fucking useless illiterate of a man.

    ReplyDelete
  11. make una show us pics now, I Rilly want to have my own kids, God pick my call

    ReplyDelete
  12. Nope it doesn't make one less of a woman, remember we are Africans and it's our mindset. Of course CS is an operation and the fear is always there, therefore people always think that anything bad might happen

    ReplyDelete
  13. Congratulations to u both. Mothers are priceless.

  14. Stella, you question about cs looks like you didn't grow up in Nigeria. Anyway let me answer you.

    1. You answered it. The anaesthetic thing scares people because some people never woke up afterwards in the past.
    2. It costs a lot more than to have a normal vaginal delivery. Who wants to spend hundreds of thousands when you can spend tens of thousands
    3. The natural God-made way is through the vagina. Some people will feel less a woman and many have actually been derided for not being woman enough to birth vaginally.
    4. Seriously, the whites that so easily prefer cs are both lazy and promiscuous and are more concerned with their fucking body for the next victim of their harlotry.
    5. Should I give you more reasons?

Happy safe 'borning' both of you. Enjoy your babies.

    ReplyDelete

    1. Its like BVs hailings has gotten into your head. Your number 4 point is simply stupid and ignorant. Like WTF do you mean by they are lazy? Do you know the pain involved in recovering from a CS? Do you think anyone will pick that over the pain of vaginal delivery that ends once the baby is out? My friend if you dont have anything reasonable to say just shut up. Its people like you that make women feel bad for having CS.

      Delete
    2. Your #4 point proves you are very dumb.

      Delete
    3. Poster 2 those are same reasons for my CS about 8wks ago. In my own case I was reluctant because I was thinking of the cost as the money was non-existence thank God for my hubby who was quick to take action as now I won't trade my son(King D) for anything.

      Delete
  15. The scare for the C/S for poster one is obvious. She and her mom wanted to continue to deceive people that she is "a virgin". An abdominal scar will give her away. She is not different from most girls. When I wanted to to get married, being a virgin was not one of the attributes on my list. In fact, I never remembered that. I wanted a girl with good character and a non-pretender; period!

  19. Why was her mom wailing because she had CS?... And I'm interested to see this fair skinned blue eyed Nigerian baby. Also since when do they administer anesthesia through the vagina, and why would a doctor put a patient to sleep for CS?? That first story is FAAAKE!!!!

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Lmao. Calm down na. She said the Catheter not anaesthesia and yes, in some cases the mother is put to sleep during a c-section.

      Delete
    2. Emergency c-sections are done under general anesthesia. 30 seconds and you are fast asleep. Scheduled or urgent (NOT the same as emergency) c-sections are usually performed with an epidural which can take upto 15mind or more including prep time. So there are definitely situations when a mother is put to sleep during a c-section- happens everyday.

    3. I had an emergency c-section and I wasn't placed under general anaesthesia...

  23. Youngman ignorance when enjoyed is another level of stupidity , so basically anybody or the whites who had their babies through cs are all whores? People like you are why countless women die because you'd rather spend tens of thousands than hundreds. Meanwhile not everyone chooses to be put to sleep,i've had all of my 4 babies through cesarean section and been awake all through

    ReplyDelete
  24. My cousin was booked for CS ealier this month and she refused insisting on vagina birth. She ended up having CS yesterday when there was no movement of the baby, baby was alredy dead.I am so sad and angry cos her ignorance killed that child.May we not bury our children in Jesus name (amen)

    ReplyDelete
  25. I have no idea y pple r scared of CS. I have 2 kids both tru CS. Almost died while having my first all in d name of vaginal delivery. I had eclampsia(not preeclampsia) during labour, had seizures and passed out. Doctors had to do an emergency CS to save me n my baby. Was unconscious for 2 days. And all this was becos I refused to do CS earlier on despite several warnings and pleadings by the doctors and after being in labour for over 12 hours. I was made to sign that I refused a CS so the doctors won't be blamed if anything happened. I received sense in my second pregnancy. Had an elective CS at 38 wks. Picked a date, strolled into the hospital, did my CS, n strolled out wt my baby after 3 days. I wld never have a vaginal delivery o. CS for me anyway anytime. The easiest thing in d world as far as I'm concerned. No pain, no tear no wahala.

    1. Thank God for your life. I had preeclampsia in all three pregnancies and all went unnoticed. The first was a stillbirth, and I had an emergency CD in the second and elective in the third. There's nothing wrong with CS, I even opted for it but my doctors insisted I can't just do CS unless there's an underlying cause. And yes, there is an underlying cause but just not too serious. Details when I send in my LRD. God pls gimme the strength and English to type and send it in soon.

When I had my CS it was done under general anesthesia.
I was knocked out completely because spinal epidural refused to work. I didn't go numb so I had to sleep.
So there are cases when it's necessary.

  41. I can't get Nigerians disdain and morbid fear of CS! It's another procedure for childbirth, why do people wail when asked to do CS? It's actually saves life....vaginal birth is a huge contributory factor to infant mortality..
Where I come from, women actually opt for elective CS because really no time and the saying about 'too posh to push' holds true..
I mean who wants to go thru all that stress of vaginal birth coupled with episiotomy or so... Isn't 9months hard enough?
And if an idiot is going to devalue my worth as a mother because I opted for CS instead of vaginal birth, then this person is a bigger fool...
All the women I know or have come across have done it thru CS and their snapback game is as tight as the vaginal birth mother...
I mean it's all about you..how determined you are...
PS: it is advisable that women are not made to sleep during CS... their upper body is just numbed and they should see the process all thru ( I mean that's how they do it here)
For reasons as a mother not waking up after the procedure and again for her to see the child to avoid stories that touch

    ReplyDelete
  42. A woman can be put to sleep depending on her condition. But most hospitals don't do general anaesthesia.
