GOOD music recently released an updated list ( below ) of its members on their official twitter page and D ’ Banj ’s name was missing .
Just a day earlier , the ‘ Oliver Twist ’ star was still included on the list that was shared online when the label announced it has signed rappers Tyga and Migos .
After the earlier mixup , it now appears D ’ banj and a couple of other artists have been dropped by the label.
D ’banj was signed to GOOD music in 2011 and throughout his time with the label, he failed to release an album . He was only featured in the label’s compilation album Cruel Summer in 2012 and also made a cameo in Kanye ’s Mercy.

I wonder what went wrong...
ReplyDeleteHis career is long dead
DeleteHhhnnmmm sad! If only he had stayed with Don Jazzy.
DeleteAnyway his exit turned out to be blessing for Tiwa, Reekado, Korede and Dija.
Why do u people conclude on someone when God hasnt done that...i ve noticed with keen interest that u portable viv is dumb and trying so hard to be heard
DeleteHe will be fine
DeleteGOOD music never did anything good for his career.
ReplyDeleteIf anything, they killed his career.
DeleteAnother stupid comment from you again... The issue is he didn't do anything good for good music after Oliver Twist.
DeleteI agree with you dear.
DeleteI always thought signing on with them was a wrong career move for him. No album released,he was there as what? Let him go back to donjazzy please
ReplyDeleteGo back to which Donjazzy?
DeleteThat bridge has burned a long time ago. At least, business wise.
He should go become an investor or something.
#WhiteDiamondOut
Whitey are u saying they can't patch up their differences?
DeleteKwaaaaaah @ become an Investor.
You know right? Koko garri sure pass. He go dey alright.
DeleteGo back to Don Jazzy? Nah it won't work out for them again.
DeleteDoes his life depend on that?..
ReplyDeleteNo problem he don dey sell garri life goes on.
DeleteWhat a waste of D'banj's time.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like the same thing is about to happen to Davido.
Lol. More like what a waste of good music's time lol
DeleteHmmmm
DeleteI reject it for him in Jesus name amen.
DeleteDavido? I doubt it.
DeleteDbanj should be better off without this music label . It was a set back for him .
ReplyDeleteHe was a setback to them lol
DeleteI thought they dropped him a long time ago? It was just a wrong move on his part.
ReplyDeleteAccept my sympathy Bangalee!
ReplyDeleteTime to focus on your koko garri....hunger dey town!
Na wa ... Ev3n d bible says we shld cut off an unproductive tree.. Record label owners are capitalists, if ur music no dey sell and they aint getting turnover frm mon3y invested on u, they drop u like hot potato.
ReplyDeleteTake the case of Skales and Banky W... But nw, Scales don dey try.
If i were D'banj i"ll stick to entertainment.. D'banj is a born entertainer nt a musician, watever that means.... I wish he"ll go back to the drawing board n re-strategise. All d best of luck!!
Where's d like botton
Delete👍👍🙌
DeleteFor this saying Chysugar, it shall be well with you.
DeleteIf u know dbanj then u will know only 5% of his earnings come from music,as far back as mohits days
DeleteHe's an entertainer meaning he can keep your eyes fixed on him. But he's not a musician because there are some basi singing talent that he lacks. Kapish? Praise Adejo, Cobhams Asuquo, Dare Art Alade, Waje musicians. D'banj, Olamide and Seyi Shay are more of entertainers.
DeleteWell said chysugar
DeleteSince when? No matter what,D'banj keep rising. Haters should go n kiss a tiger....
ReplyDeleteI know someone will come here screaming haters. Which haters? Dude wasn't productive and had to be let go where is the hating coming from?
DeleteWhich haters? Kanye West?
DeleteKwakwakwakwakwakwa I dey laugh oooooo
ReplyDeleteEyaah
ReplyDeleteHe will move on to greater and better things. He's really doing under G stuff. Probably Also earning more than those making noise up and down
ReplyDeleteThis may be news to Nigerians, it's no news at all. 'The College Dropout' dude (Kanye - and true to that moniker) signed a few Nigerians to make money off them and nothing else. Music is highly monopolised in the U.S and they only go for their own, Tidal was failing, still is, if what is being touted around is true and bug head thought he could use Africans. I could write a whole chapter on this issue but the bottom line is that African artistes should try and stick to their LOYAL African labels. D'banj is a great African Artiste and doesn't need the likes of Kanye dropout to verify him, nor does any African artiste. Dbanj should hold his head up high and learn to appreciate the motherland supporters and fellow artistes. Truth be told, all the Yankee DJ's don't play any of our famous artistes music on their stations and the whole music business is a very dirty and shoddy biz that I won't even begin to scare anyone with. Good luck to new African artistes and stay loyal to your homegrown fans. Good Morning.

DeleteGbam!!!!!!!!!......Better talk.....Thanks for this truth..
DeleteDbanj paid kanye for the fame ..it was all a show..but as usual.. The racist card between African Americans and Africa came to play...:)...tiwa savage get ready
DeleteTrue👌
DeleteFunny thing's they see Tiwa as a growing threat to their African sales hence the need to kill her shine by signing her to Roc nation or whatever tf Jay z's label's called.I've never seen her look so out of her depth n insecure as she did at a recent awards show in America
DeleteTiwa will be fine they can't intimidate her
DeleteDbanj music career was dead on arrival the first day he left Mo hits record.
ReplyDeleteThank you 😊
DeleteOh no!
ReplyDeleteNot my D'banj!
I feel bad about this. Chai!
And I remember some people predicted this. Kai
Eayaaaa
DeleteI dont feel bad
DeleteUsed to love dbanj like mad in my university days but it died as soon as he left mo'hit records.
Oh the kokomaster, it's well. I pray for better success for you.

ReplyDeleteeyah.... Pele o, sorry o. it's well. guest he didn't make good use of the opportunity.
ReplyDelete*guess*
DeleteDbanj is gradually winding down.
ReplyDeleteI don't think Dbanj still has a musical career.
ReplyDeleteLife goes on!!!
ReplyDeleteSome people shine bright like a diamond when they align themselves with certain people. The person that advised him to dump mo'hits and Don jazzy no mean well for am.
ReplyDeleteEeyah, I use to remember when Dbanj was very popular that if his music wasn't played in a party then you know the party has not started, Eeyah I wonder what happened to him.
ReplyDeleteHe left Mo'hits
DeleteEayah. Dbanj kilo de
ReplyDeleteD'Banj got it wrong the day he chose to sign with Kanye WEST. He should have stuck with Don Jazzy, but then again if he had not parted ways with Don Jazzy, we would not have been blessed with the good songs from Korede Bello, Reekado Banks, Dija et al. All in all, D'Banj is still the kokomaster, a great ENTERTAINER.
ReplyDeleteMy dear, that's to show you that Don Jazzy is he star maker. He is the one with the real talent, not d'banj.
DeleteDbanj should move forward, his life dnt depend on them.
ReplyDeleteNt d end of d world for him beta tins r on d way.signin on wit GOOD MUSIC was a total waste of time.
ReplyDeleteI don't see anything wrong in D'banj thinking he could better his career by signing with Kanye.
ReplyDeleteMost of you would leave an old boyfriend for a new boyfriend with better money, power and fame anytime. It is what it is.
It is not too late for him. I hope Tiwa and Whizkid would learn.
KING XOXO MYSTERY
Remove d mystery from ya name,u ave bin demystified
DeleteLet him focus on his own record label.
ReplyDeleteNow its too late to crawl back to Don baba J. D'banj allowed greed to kill his career.
ReplyDeleteI guess Don Jazzy has the last laugh right now
ReplyDeleteAll you need is to go back to the drawing board n re-strategise. I still believe in you jara.
ReplyDeleteMe too
DeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteThat's why I love Don J. Smart ass nigga. You'll see, when Jay Z wrecks Tiwa's career as well, Don Jazzy will jejely distance himself and find new talent to make money for him. Sharp Igbo guy #smartissexy
ReplyDeleteGBAM!
DeleteD banj welcome home. It was not worth it. Not all that glitters is gold.
ReplyDeleteLatestHottest jokes confirm @DonIkonXOP
ReplyDeleteOUCH!!
ReplyDeleteI hope Tiwa Savage is reading this, Americans only use Africans for money in the music business and nothing more. Don't be fooled by all the media hype. If it ain't working for THEM, you are out. Tiwa should not allow herself to be used to plug TIDAL to Africans.
ReplyDeleteDbanj needs a change of career. After he signed Tonto i knew he needed serious career deliverance.
ReplyDeleteLol@mama Afrika, your comment is priceless
ReplyDeleteI'm telling you.
DeleteThat was the beginning of the end.
Lol.
Mama Afrika this your comment get me 😁 😁 😁 😁
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry for dbanj,He is still a legend,a great entertainer...what our artists don't know is that these guys just want to tap into your market, they are all about the money, they put one small TV channel that does not show your music in more than 2 states in the US,they will even give u guys awards in the basement 3 hours before the show..Tiwa learn from this,u might be dumped like this very soon.
