It was a media frenzy when Nollywood Actress, Producer and Director Omoni
Oboli’s flight touched down in the city of Toronto judging by the way a
section of the Canadian media received her and her team.
The French graduate from the University of Benin is presently in Toronto,
Canada for the annual Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF). TIFF is
one of the top two film festivals in the world and hosts over 42,000
people from all over the world.
This year’s edition will start on Thursday September 8 and end Sunday September 18, 2016.
The delectable actress took to her social media platforms to announce her
arrival in Toronto for the festival with the message ‘’#TheFirstLady at
#Tiff16 on my way to my TV interview this morning. #Toronto I'm here’’.
Since setting foot in Canada, a popular newspaper has done an exclusive
article on Omoni Oboli, a move that has humbled the soft-spoken actress.
Aside the newspaper article, she has also granted an exclusive interview
to a highly-revered Caribbean TV station in the city of Toronto and she
shared exclusive pictures on her social media accounts.
Omoni Oboli’s yet-to-be-released work Okafor’s Law has been nominated at
the yearly show-piece event. The Digital Filmmaking Graduate at the New
York Film Academy has been in the news for some time now as she has
directed three movies which made box office hits; Being Mrs. Elliot
(2014), The First Lady (2015) and Wives on Strike (2016) with the movie
becoming the third highest grossing Nigerian movie at the cinema with over
71m Naira.
Okafor’s Law states that if a man sleeps with a woman once, he can always
bed her again irrespective of new developments like marriage, new
boyfriend or break up. The movie will have a world premiere on Monday
September 12 in Canada.
The movie tells the story of a slick serial seducer who bets with his
friends that he can bed three old flames in six weeks. This romantic
risqué comedy is rooted in the eternal lessons of lust and tells the story
of ‘’Terminator’’ played by Blossom Chukwujekwu known by his best friends
Fox (Ken Erics) and Baptist (Gabriel Afolayan) to be a successful serial
seducer but they got a shocker themselves when he ends up in bed with an
old flame right after her engagement ceremony to another man. ‘’It's
Okafor's Law’’, Terminator explains.
The movie also features Richard Mofe-Damijo (RMD), Ufuoma McDermott, Tina
Mba, Halima Abubakar, Yvonne Jegede, Mary Lazarus, Betty Irabor, Kemi Lala
Akindoju, Uche Nnaji, Omoni Oboli and others.

DeleteI hate it when people keep saying this lady sleeps around. Although i do not know her personally, but something tells me she has grace*
DeleteThere are women with abundant grace on earth, that no soul needs to see their laps before doing what they want for them. Such women, the men in their lives know. All the men can do is mellow down and enjoy the life with them else poverty will be their name.
To me, Omoni is one of such women!

Happy for her success. Thanks to the producer of "The Figurine" for bringing Omoni back to our screen.
ReplyDelete@my opinion shut the fuck up. wait until she sleeps with your own husband.
ReplyDeletePeople always try to rubbish the hadrwork this woman has done and yes I hope the more you try to dis-credit her work the more PR you give her. I repeat Omoni is a very hardworking and humble woman. Someone asked for her wedding ring (someone that still posted her husband picture on her IG page 3 days ago) their PDA no be here. Omoni is here to stay whether you like it or not
ReplyDeleteGood
ReplyDeleteGood job, Omoni, keep making your enemies wallowing in jealousy. First all with three kids, your body still dey kangkpe, no shaking. Na God make you fine like that. Secondly you get sense to produce your movies, Na God provide the know how and the means. Your enemies are having an epileptic feat of jealousy. Some were thinking its a lie that wife on strike was able to gross that much; just because of their bad belle.
ReplyDeleteOmoni Oboli the eagle of your destiny is still rising, wetin 'them' go do?
