BV says...
''Well,I'm a BV I rarely comment, maybe once or twice before though I really started reading your blog this year. Anyway,i work somewhere at the airport in Ikeja and witnessed a protest by Aero staff this morning and thought to just share with you with the pictures.
They have been suspended for some time now,so no flights locally and international. Some also had placards saying salary of over 3months-6months haven't been paid and they were calling on Government to do something''.
Thank you dear and please update us on how it goes okay?..KISSES!
'They are calling on Govt.to do something'. Government wey get PHD in owing staff! Oriegwu!
ReplyDeleteStella I Read ARIK not AERO
ReplyDeleteHeadline says aero, content says arik. Which one is it stella? Are you sleep-typing?
ReplyDeleteNa wa. Painful ooo.
ReplyDeleteI dont want to imagine not collecting my salary after 25th of every month.
BTW, Stella, are you talking about Arik or Aero? You are mentioning the two interchangeably.
ReplyDeleteAero or Arik, the heading says Aero while the body is saying Arik
ReplyDeleteIt should be Arik cos when I was traveling last week, their staff were having issue with passengers and they also complained of not recieving payment for the past three months but even at that they wont resign as their are no jobs out there.
DeleteQueen amy, its aero. Even placard says aero.
DeleteThat means all should shut down as they cnt continue owing workers.
DeleteStella, is it Aero or Arik, please check
ReplyDeleteMessed up country.
ReplyDeleteThis is so annoying. Chai.
ReplyDeleteArik and their wahala.
ReplyDeleteWhere you see Arik?
DeleteThis country sef ðŸ˜
ReplyDeleteStella is it Arik or Aero?
ReplyDeleteNa wah!!!
ReplyDeleteGovernment should do what? Is Aero a government or private business? The Ibru family ran you down so AMCON bought over your debt to Oceanic bank and restructured it, your staff exploit the system by not remitting money paid for tickets, customer service is zilch. What do you want the government to do? Give you a grant? My friends, be serious. There are really critical sectors in the country that need the scarce resources that we don't have sef.
ReplyDeleteAbeg if u Dont no what happen in aero keep quiet
DeleteYou better know your facts before writing rubbish on impt blogs like this: staff did not steal money but amcib directors that connived with Micah to cille t 30 million monthly as PR, would you give exceptional service when you don't have tools to work and smcib testifies that staff they don't like still work under deplorable conditions. Or ticketing staff that are beaten by you cause amcon can't get aircrafts to operate adequately. Watch your mouth before you offend God and man

Anonymous 15:16 you are wrong in most of your comment dear. The Ibru family under Cecilia and her drug hooked son Obaro ran the company into debt by using the name of the company to purchase aircraft that were never seen by the company. Mind you these supposed airplanes and helicopters were bought without the knowledge of Aerocontractors who was supposed to be the end user. The said airplanes were bought by Oceanic Capital for Aero without Aero's knowledge. When AMCON took over Oceanic Bank and by extension its debtor - Aerocontractors, there were 12 serviceable airplanes and 11 serviceable helicopters in the fleet of Aero operations this was in 2012. AMCON claims to have released N40b to revive Aero but what do we have now, the 12 serviceable airplanes reduced to 1 and the helicopters reduced to 3.
ReplyDeleteWhen AMCON took over the largest shares of Aero, AMCON brought in Finance Director, as well as an internal auditor to monitor the flow of cash in the company. But instead of plunging the fund they claimed to have released for aero into reviving the company, the corrupt directors in AMCON connived with Obaro Ibru and the money ended in clubs, frivolous parties as well as individual pockets.
Make your investigations, AMCON hired an Internal Auditor for Aero who has never discovered any fraud for more than 3 years he has been in that position even with a salary of 2.4 million per month that he is being paid by aero.
As if that was not enough, with the conniving of AMCON, the Ibrus brought a rejected British marine as Integration Manager on a salary of 2.7 million per month.
As if this is not enough, Aero has been paying a particular creation of the Ibru family who they use as a conduit pipe to syphon money from aero. A particular chief from Bayelsa who collects 30million Naira every month and is not in the company payroll.
Aero has more managers than any federal parastatal.
In February when AMCON put aero into receivership, because the company has become insolvent, they still went ahead and hired a CEO for 4.3 million a month and even went as far as paying the old man his money upfront. that is N50m per year.
The CEO upon assumption of office demanded for a brand new Prado Jeep for 18.9m which the labour unions kicked against and from then he started threatening to pull the plug.
For your information Anonymous 15:16, majority of the staff you see at the desks ( non pilots and engineers) are below a salary of N100k per month. And here you are with bankers and people with no aviation background coming to enrich themselves, outsourcing almost every area money comes to the company like cargo to themselves.
There is a lot of rot in aero perpetrated by top management and amcon and the prayer of aero workers if for Buhari and his govt to look into the company
Nigeria nothing last for long ,Aero contractors use to be one of the best local airline in Nigeria, they treat customers right and they pay their staff well ,na wa for obodo Nigeria ,no maintenance culture is a wa for obodo Nigeria
ReplyDeleteI said it Nigerian elites are the problem of the country.
