    2. Truth be told, the major cause of his outburst has nothing to do with women cooking or not.

The young man is poor. Owu ite saga the man. Poverty na bastard. Can you imagine F0, Dangote or Emoney (a young man like him) dedicating hours to sweat from the fingernails all in the name of ranting. LMAO. God chase the spirit of poverty away from your children in Jesus name. AMEN.

People like him will seat behind that old laptop and be urinating sperm when he sees Kim kadarshian and Beyonce. Go and learn how to make money from Kanye and Jay Z first.

    3. To cook is not even the problem. When I garnish that food with antifreeze /sniper dats when you will go and rant for your ancestors.
People will just be ranting how they will benefit, have you thought that whoever is responsible for your food is responsible for your life? Make it a do or die affair and watch me silence you for life.

    6. When you see people that list what a woman must do, they never sit down to think of what a man MUST do.
Can you afford a range rover sport for your wife? Diamond and gold jewelery? Quality clothes and fat bank account? When you ask him this one now, he will start stammering and calling God and turn humble preaches of how virtuous a woman will be and how a woman should manage yet as a man he has to be static. Idiot.

The heartless thing even said even if she gets back home at 11PM she will cook. It is that food that will poison you. Ode

But now both genders do the hustling. a woman who truely loves a man will cook for him to eat, even if it ain't everyday.

  22. The young man is stating his opinion. Look at his last tweet. If you can't cook, he'll eat out or cook for himself.

It's just that he's sounding so angry. Seems his gf told him that she's a wife, not cook material.

But forget this 21st century and feminism bs. A woman's kitchen is her workshop. I don't understand why people are even making a debate about this.

If you say that you want to be sharing days for cooking with your husband, then, don't be mad if he asks that you take half the responsibility of paying the house rent and school fees.

Don't open your mouth to talk about a man not living up to his responsibilities, being worse than an infidel.

There are some things that are never meant to be changed, gender equality or not. The thing is that some people don't even understand gender equality.

It's all about how the society should treat men as no different from women, as regards jobs, political posts, education, pay checks et al, not trying to thwart the universal scheme of things.

Don't go and start fighting your husband, because he doesn't enter the kitchen. It's all about luck. If he does, fine, if he doesn't, fine.

Noble made a statement. How we understand it is our business.

  25. I don't think this issue should be contentious.

Cooking is the responsibility of the woman but of course Mr. can help out occasionally. You can tell your wife to rest once in a while and cook or you guys eat out, you can cook when she is ill, pregnant etc. If she is at work all day and you are at home, nothing wrong in fixing something in the kitchen.

If you love your wife, helping her shouldn't be a problem, it only becomes a problem when she now sees it as the husband's duty and folds her arms.

    ReplyDelete
  26. If men must provide, women must cook. If women must help with finances then men must also assist in domestic chores. Shikena!

  28. I just dont understand why some women think emancipation is all about trying to show supremacy. Pls dont cook for your husband. You would go back to your fathers house. And the sad part is that the ones championing this would be pounding at home for their husband, whilst the dumb ones would take this home to practice. Na so devil take dey enter house

    ReplyDelete
  29. Yes ladies we cook. Even the whites we copy cook for their men. Can't imagine my husband eating out often when I can cook. Cooking ain't my thing but it's the load I'm to carry and I will carry with joy oh.

  30. I love to cook and my husband loves to eat. Theres this joy i feel when i cook and he eats it all and is satisfied. My husband is a great cook. Infact he cooks better than me.
A lot of talk just goes in when u are actually not in d situation yet. Communication is very important. Know d type of husband u are marrying. If you say u wont cook, its not by force, dont complain if he keeps eating out. If someone else is cooking for him,she could as well balance it up and sleep with him. Why satisfy only one hunger?

  33. The guy sounds so bitter, like he will beat his wife to death if she doesn't cook. Heavens save Nigerian women from such egoistic men and their entitlement. Because your father never cooked, you believe you can never cook bla bla . Can't even have some logical statement with these young people without them saying my father my mother.. Well that was why your father sent you to school , to develop and present new ideologies as the world changes..not sticking like a mule to what your father did. The kids you talk about... Aren't they yours too. What have you invented? What have you created? You want a coook, ewu Gambia. Your mates invented Twitter.. you're there tweeting your misery with your jobless ass. Tueh!

Nigerian women are an unlucky lot. They have absolutely no respect or compassion from their men. They stay with such hopeless men who beat them to stupor and kill them cos it's a sin to not be married. They treat you this way cos you're not doing much with your life. Only having sex and borning children. The few that have jobs are all make up artists. So yes, y'all have all the time in the world to cook. So, cook.

  38. If a woman's job carries her out of the state you live in or out of the country, don't cook or eat in a restaurant oh. Starve yourself until she comes back to cook for you.

Anon 18:03 true talk. Some men cannot provide adequately for their wives or give a woman what she wants but they will sit down like idiots and be making stupid demands. Women want the good things in life but they cannot provide it.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Anonymous 18:03, thumbs up for that comment.
I'm sure the guy doesn't have a job sef, he wants cook
Of course he cant afford a car or house for his wife, he wants cook
No, he can't afford gold or diamonds or a crown for her, he wants cook
The olden days men they keep referring to were a far better lot.
They toiled all day at the farms, planting and harvesting yams cos it was a shame to them for their women to starve
They were warriors, then the men go to war to protect their women and children
So they went to war determined to die for their women. Cos if they lost, their women will be kidnapped and turned into slaves by the winners
So when they come back from toiling at the farm or fighting at war,, they deserved all kinds of food
Not these men of today that rape and beat the women God gave them strenght to protect
Nowadays, women are the ones doing the toiling of the farm
Women are out at work till 10pm
female surgeons, female CEOs, female breadwinners
Yet this efulefu wants a cook. What have you achieved? Nothing

  40. If I have to bust my behind toe to toe with a man to bring in money, hell no am I doing all the housework. So because I was born with a vagina I must cook and clean? Condolences in advance to his future wife. African women work like field hands just because patriarchy has fooled them. Many don't even know why they are doing some of these things, except some idiot said they should and it gets passed down for generations. What is there for the African woman to enjoy in marriage? Marriage sounds like a workhouse with no pay. May the Goddess protect her daughters.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Sadly that is how it sounds in this patriarchal society and our fellow women follow to propagate patriarchy.

If a woman decides that she isnt very interested in cooking and her husband (who is in the marriage contract with her also agrees), whose business is it to judge? If your wife is a slave to you, some men value theirs. If a man decides not to be the bread winner and the woman is comfortable providing a visa for him and bringing money till he is able to work and do fine for himself. Who is to talk? Jeez! I knew a guy who did just that and now he's living very fine. Those insulting him then that his wife provided for most of the wedding, paid his flight to the US and helped him with Green Card are still wallowing in poverty, drinking at bars. He does a good part time job, contributes his own and assists his wife in housework and baby care. The POINT IS, HE IS COMFORTABLE with the woman taking the front row. There is absolutely nothing wrong with being practical. Some men are domestic by nature. Some women are money makers. Be true to yourself, forget gender roles and what people are chatting! These people who talk on the internet are different at home. This guy up there could even by an emasculated soul.

As Anon 20:54 put it. Now it seems marriage is a burden.
-Woman works lest she's called a housewife.
-Woman is forced to have sex
      -Woman cooks and cooks
      -Woman cleans and washes
      -Woman carries the pregnancy
-Woman takes care of the baby and kids
-Woman gets beaten and must bear it.
-Woman gets cheated on and told that its a man's world.
-Woman stays home while husband parties and travels.
-Woman is made to change the way she dresses because she is now married.
-Woman has to cut off all her single friends.
-Woman has to accommodate the in-laws and bear anything they do unless she is the bad one.
-Woman bears the burden of childlessness or giving birth to only female kids
-Woman bears the pain of widowhood and is not expected to re-marry so soon!

PLS, Where is the joy in this patriarchal cycle?

      Delete

Guys who make dinner for a change cos Mrs is a CEO in her office, pulling in 200k$ a year
So romantic that your African ass can never understand
Your broke ass can never comprehend
Your insecure ass can't even begin to imagine

All I do on Saturdays is cook cook cook and cook some more, the day my husband likes he helps, but when the kids are hungry they don't go o him, they come to me. And biblically, it's the woman's duty to cook.
