    3. Stop being a liar and sadist. The FIRST time dollar rate was sold to Nigerians at a lower rate was last year when Christian pilgrims were leaving for pilgrimage. Only you that knows that he has divided the country by false information should keep making loud false announcement. Onyiochi

  7. Stupid buhari.....reducing dollar for his fellow Muslim people while the igbos are suffering buying dollar at high rates for their business. This man have shown that he only cares for the Muslims and northern. Why don't they give the same privilege to Christians going on pilgrimage as well....Nonsense country where every nonsense goes.

  10. Its true o Stella.. I used to be a very strong advocate for change for now its very obvious dat with buhari, Nigerians got it very wrong..This man is clueless and has no vision or direction for Nigeria..he is a disappointment..How could he do this?we don't av subsidy on health care, education, pple are suffering and he subsidizing dollar rates on hajj? For what? How does that benefit the common man..millions of pple are going for hajj o, do you know how much will go into dis project? Dis is a total dictatorship govt and a one man govt, all d ministers including the vice president are figureheads ..What have we done to ourselves? Religion is a personal journey, why should the govt get involved? Am just short of words ..

  11. buhari has turned Nigeria to an Islamic state,a president that will reduce dollars for the chosen ones just for traveling when u cant reduce this dollar for those that want to do genuine business in the country.buhari whoever is advising u that person is evil.all u know na religion religion, the economy is falling but no na haj nai pure pass, smh on what is more important to my president.

  13. Bad news for the country because someone somewhere will pay for this 'subsidised' favour. We heard plainly here how no reduced rates for anyone; not students, not business guys. Source your own dollars yourself. We also heard how any price control by the CBN was not to be. But bang! Its Hajj, the president orders they be given subsidy. What benefit accrues to the country? How does Hajj and the money they will spend in another country benefit us more than businessmen, agriculturists, manufacturers sourcing for dollars to import certain things. I recall when this policy started, the Buhari gang said! "Well done! Let them sit in their country and develop it! No more importation". I wonder how they will justify this one.

Thank God you all are seeing for yourselves. Lol. Blatant nepotism and religious favouritism seems to be in the increase.

  14. Will they see at same price for ppl going to Jerusalem or people that have to pay fees abroad or people that are undergoing surgery abroad.

    I doubt it.

Only his Muslim brothers and sisters deserve subsidization of dollars price.

Let me hear what those his dumb supporters have to say about this.

    Jay, their chief, how market?

  18. This is bigotry at its peak! Nigerians can't source forex to pay the tuition of their children studying abroad and yet the government can make special considerations for people embarking on spiritual journeys! This is the height of it in this country, for how long shall we continue to live like foreigners in our land? It's issues like this that is giving rise to agitations from left and right! Personal businesses becoming governmen's priorities

  19. What about People that go to Jerusalem on pilgrimage don't they also deserve to buy dollar at a reduced rate. Islamic Republic of Nigeria

  20. And those going for school and Medicals are buying at 398 from black market ... It's okay

  21. My last comment here, I wrote that someone somewhere will pay for this subsidy. Now I just read CBN will lose 7.6Billion in tax payers' money in funding this subsidy.
Im not an economist. But its clear that money is a give and take thing and cannot come from heaven. Someone must lose for someone to gain.
And some of these so called hajj peeps will sell these dollars in the free market and tripple their sums.

    Stella, whats up?
This is not about favoritism, same also apply to Christians.

  27. Why is it that when we spot any thing wrong done by this administration you are termed a hater or a person from the opposition. The dollar during the last pilgrimage embarked upon by the Christians was at 197 because that was the official rate then. So why the concession now pls? who bears the brunt of the differential in our fragile economy? What if am not a Muslim nor a christian how will pilgrimage benefit me? Please i want to be educated on this as i do not see the reason why the rate was reduced.

    ReplyDelete
  28. But Christians got 160 last year under the same Buhari, why is this an issue and it's a maximum of 1k. I don't think it is right for the economy but it is fair
