The Special Adviser to the President on Niger Delta and Coordinator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme, Brig-Gen. Paul Boroh (retd), has disclosed that former Niger Delta militants will start receiving their stipends on Monday, August 1.
This was made know via a statement issued on Sunday by the Head of the Media and Communication Department of the office of the Presidential Amnesty Programme, Abuja, Mr. Piriye Keyaramo.
The statement further called on the ex-militants in the region to stop the planned protests scheduled to hold on Monday.
According to the statement, “President Buhari attaches so much importance to the Amnesty Programme, which explains why the President in his inaugural address to the nation specifically promised to invest heavily in the projects, and programmes currently in place for the ex-agitators in the region.”
Boroh added that the Federal Government planned to improve the amnesty programme for the benefit of the 30,000 ex-militants and other youths in the region.
“President Muhammandu Buhari, is already putting together a youth development and empowerment package that would directly impact the ex-agitators and other youths in the region,” he said.

Kwakwakwakwakwa!!! 30,000 militants indeed, messed up country, bunch of lazy tugs, who are looking for free money. 15,000 of those names may belong Ayari and his ilks, talk about padding names lol.
ReplyDeleteThey r not lazy u fool, their lands are being destroyed and their oil money taken, meanwhile the oil comes from their region, they have a right to fight, this is their right, u think u can go to anyone's land destroy their lands, use their oil and money and wont give them anything , the money goes to the northerners. This is a good news.
DeleteAnd when Tuoyo the 4.5million suit wearing guy was there, what did he do to help the youth in the region?
DeleteTalk less of other people in charge of seeing to the welfare of the indigenes, what do they do with the monies?
Asari's investments are in Cotonou. Select people are living large, neglecting the suffering ones. The militants are not fighting for the people. They are fighting for the course of the miscreants whose source of free money has been blocked.
Lazy mofos.
You should not be sunshine, you should be darkness, you are a pig, a dirty tribalist and always against the south south people,so I am not surprised at your comment, ugly fat fool
DeleteDeaf dullardinho, you can only succeeded in fooling yourself and ur zombie followers. Is either you restructure this country or you watch it disintegrate.
ReplyDeleteDo you think disintegration is what we need at this critical moment? Do you think it's that easy to disintegrate where we have a lot inter-tribal marriages and where people have investments in other states other than their own own.
DeleteIf you had been following international news especially that of South Sudan, you will always pray for unity.
Stop clamouring for disintegration!
I thought 'our pellow Nijerians' was proving stubborn before.
ReplyDeleteLmao @ pellow Nigerians for saying this you're kwarupt
DeleteKwakwakwa...
DeleteThey should never have started the paymemt. Its like rewarding them for their lack of industry. I did rather provide the needed infrastructure that would enable the hardworking ones thrive.
ReplyDeleteWho are we rewarding next, armed robbers, kidnappers?
Yet we have people who defied the odds and got themselves an education but the government would continue to ignore them because they refuse to descend to the level of the militants who are 99.999% made up of wild illiterates.
Exactly. Same thing Sunshine said up there and the anonymous under her is calling for her head. Smh.
DeleteIt's not rocket science. More will keep coming out if the government continues to aid their indiscretion.
Yeye! Lazy lots! Everyone from that region will soon start claiming they are militants so they can be paid stipends too. Awon alapa ma si se....
ReplyDelete"30,000 ex-militants and other youths in the region"
ReplyDelete??
Anon 07:56. Are you saying that the militants are lazy tugs? You must b uninformed, ignorant and foolish. It is very stupid of you also to say they are looking for cheap money. If you did not see, have you not heard how oil drilling has messed up their land and rivers which are their only source of living? The proceeds of the oil from their land are used to develop other parts of the country while they are left to languish in poverty and total neglect. When the started asking for redress, they were granted amnesty which Buhari terminated and rather recognised the Boko Haram militants whose fight is totally unjust. And you are sounding this way? If the treatment meted to the Niger Deltans is done to they Northerners, do you think this country will enjoy the relative peace that gave you d audacity to pik ur phone and comment rubbish? Abeg park one side if you dont know what to say. To comment is not by force.
ReplyDeleteOK agreed. But is the monthly stipend going to eradicate the environmental pollution that the region is suffering? Shouldn't they be seeking for a permanent solution plus empowering their youths instead of holding the entire country to ransom because it is their land that generates money? C'mon now.
DeleteWhat did their past governors do with the allocation/derivation funds for that region? With all the opportunities for scholarships for people from that regions, they don't want to do anything. All na to collect money, drink ogogoro n chase women. Sit down there and be crying 'our oyel'

Anon 8:47 why are you responding to that low life hater without a job or common sense to know what is going on around him. All his comments are full of hate and destruction.
ReplyDeleteAlways playing the victim. The reason why their land is polluted is because they polluted their land by blowing up pipes etc. and illegally tapping oil.
ReplyDeleteAll the money given by companies and the government to their region is being eaten by their chiefs who pocketed the money for their own selfish means and didn't give it to the community or develop any projects with the money.
Stop whining and hold your leaders and your people blowing up pipes and spilling oil accountable for your problems.
Very lazy ogogoro drinking sex addicted people.
