I know you hear this all the time, but you are doing a great job and i am a humongous fan of your work. My husband and I are fans (I introduced him to your blog).
So here is my issue.... God just blessed my family with a beautiful baby girl two months ago. I will attach the picture on the day she was born for your eyes only. She came out naturally at an impressive 3.6kg, so imagine my surprise when the doctor, a renowned gynecologist told me that i didn't have any tear. However, i noticed down the line that a particular spot in my vagina kept bleeding even after every other pain and vaginal discharge had stopped, so i decided to check and i realised that i actually had a vaginal tear and this was eight weeks after i had put to bed.
Last week Saturday, i went back to the hospital and the doctor (another doctor) told me that the tear was quite small and did not require suturing, so he prescribed ampicillin and vitamin C, as well as "sitz bath" i.e, sitting inside warm water with salt morning and night for one week.Yesterday was Friday, which means that all the medication has ended, and i have not seen any improvement.
The spot is still reddish and still bleeds.
I was feeling discomfort reading this.
ReplyDeleteHmm, I no fit read am abeg.
DeleteGod, some doctors ehnn, they just don't regard life anymore, they joke with issues that should be dealt with....madam see another doctor please... jesus take charge
DeleteSorry dear, try Carmel antiseptic liquid which is green in color.Add it with the salt and do the "sitz bath"..works better.
DeleteTry to also see a good gynae not all those house officers for proper examination before it gets infected.
Ok first of all tear or no tear u shld have done sit bath. I'm sure someone must have mentioned it to u but over sabi of " I no get tear " no gree r listen.
DeleteNow u need to give to time to heal OK. It will eventually just DAT it take longer time now. Continue with d salt water sit baths. U Don't need an infection right now OK. Good luck..
Oh my!
ReplyDeleteThe doctor should have sewed you up,you apparently gave yourself a tear in the process.
I'd rather get a cut than a self inflicted one, those ones can be terrible.
Is there no room to still Suture you? Have you explored that option with your Gynae or another one?
First of all congratulations on your bundle of joy..
ReplyDeleteI really think you should go back to the gyno for a follow-up... There is definitely an underlining cause that should be carefully looked into. Thinking of you
UNDERLYING.
DeleteGo and see another doctor
ReplyDeleteMadam, tell them to suture you afterall na your money you wan pay
ReplyDeleteNigerian doctors! Smh...

ReplyDeletePoster, its adviceable to go back to your gynae again. If he still prescribes drugs, seek a second opinion about the possibility of having a suture done.
ReplyDeletePls take it as a matter of urgency. Loads of love to your little one.

ReplyDeletePoster please see another doctor
ReplyDeleteDoes any one know if V. Tight gel helps to tighten the vagina? After my delivery I have noticed my vagina is no longer tight. Though I ve tried kegel and ho t water therapy which didn't also work as well. I can't afford a vaginopasty. In otherwise I'm looking for a solution which can work and cheaper. I do not want to loose my husband as I have noticed he doesn't enjoy me as before.
ReplyDeleteWomen really pass through hell.
I have four kids and still very tight down there. Please continue with the kegels as that is your best option for now. By the way, I really don't think you're loose down there as the vagina doesn't slack that easy. Your problem is probably psychological
DeleteThe sit bath is ok dear... But pls see another gynae, i rly cant say now until i get to see u in person and examine u.. Pls b strong
ReplyDeleteMy case was a bit similar to yours, I was sutured up but not done properly. I went back after six weeks and got it done again. My dear, the pain no be here but I was content. Go back and insist that they re-do it, may God help you with the pains.
ReplyDeleteThat is not me that insult
ReplyDeleteThank God for getting my ID back
This is wickedness or should i call it negligence. That doctor does not know his job well. He should have known that u had small tear when your baby came out. My dear to sew it now wil be too painful o. I wish u all the best....congrats
