An ongoing opinion poll has shown Governor Akinwunmi Ambode of Lagos State to be in the lead as Nigeria’s top performing governor.
The poll being organised by the African Leadership Magazine is to determine Nigeria’s top performing governor.
According to a statement by Ambode’s Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Habib Aruna yesterday, the poll tagged; ‘ Good Governance Polls for Nigeria’s Top Performing Governor, ’ started two weeks ago, with Ambode maintaining the lead with increased 36.1 percent of the total votes cast.
The poll, according to organisers, was designed by the group as part of its strategic engagement tool to monitor performance and gauge the mood of the electorate in Nigeria in line with its objective of providing credible information and support to leaders in Nigeria and Africa at large.
Meantime, at the time of filling this report, voting was ongoing and expected to close in the next four days.

*Lets wait and see the results when the polls are through.
It's easy to give Ambode a pass mark because of the precedent of his predecessor.
ReplyDeleteMoreover, the IGR in lagos state makes it easier because salaries are not owed and there's a lot of money to throw around. So candidly, I wouldn't put Ambode up against other struggling States or governors who aren't having it as smooth in their states financially.
If some of them are given the same cash flow like we have in lagos, they'd most likely do better or match what Ambode is doing. My opinion though
Na mouth and online ambode dey take do him work? Haven't seen anything he's done since he assumed power

ReplyDeleteBen Bruce even did a write up a certain about Anambra state and asked the federal government to employ whatever tactics Anambra state is using...
True that. Read Ben Bruce's plea of progress on Anambra State. Gov Willie Obiano is working.
DeleteGov Ambode is working too, many projects ongoing. The light up Lagos is one I love so much.

ReplyDeleteIf only you people know how much lagos state makes in a day, you won't celebrate him.
ReplyDeleteAmbode is truly working I give him kudos!
ReplyDeleteAnambra state is the best state so far.
ReplyDeleteAmbode is not doing much, people talking about bridges is that what is required in Lagos. You people don't know your right and what to expect from those you vote for. They do the barest minimum and you sing their praises.
