Actor Kanayo O. Kanayo Raises Alarm Over Parents Allowing Their Children Dress Up Indecently...

Veteran Nollywood actor, Kanayo O. Kanayo, has expressed worry over the manner parents allow their children appear in public.
He said the way children dress these days calls for alarm.

In a series of tweets @KanayoOKanayo, the actor, known for occult roles in movies, shared parenting tips on the responsibility to explain to kids the sense and concept of decency.
He tweeted: “Why does a 4, 6, 10 year old girl have to look like a CHIC? Look hot or sexy? Did your parents raise you like that? The girls especially in bum shorts, long weaves, halter necks, cut-off jeans. Parties these days are more of night club for the kids.

“The ones who dance like actual children are shoved off the floor, while the lewd ones are cheered on.It’s our responsibility to explain to kids the sense/concept of decency. Why are we sexualising our kids?If your child wears bum shorts, many rings, sagging pants, it will be too late to correct when the negatives set in.

“Train up a child in the way…(YES!) Please use your tongue to count your teeth,” the actor advised.

*I watched a video the other day of a little girl twerking and my mouth dropped. Her mm allegedly filmed it and posted on youtube oh..I agree with the actor!

  4. Kikile you are raising alarm over children's indecent dressing. Ur friend whom you were his best man in his wedding was murdered by EFCC IN THEIR detention almost 2 months now and was labelled a fraudster. You did not raise alarm. People like you are the one's that are supposed to come out and get justice for the man's wife who is helpless.

  6. I guess people are beginning to take this civilization of a thing too far.. Even the parents themselves think dressing indecently is the new sexy... Who do you think the kids will take after? It's only God that can train one's kids but then do your job, be a good role model.

    1. I saw a lady and her daughter probably age 8 at apo mall. I was shocked cos what the lil girl wore is worse than bum short, it stopped just below the bum with jersey fabric. We have alot of sickos, paedophiles, rapists. Let us be guided in the way we raise our kids.

  7. I agree with him.if kids start now to do adult dressing n life style, what will they do when they grow up? Parents should take note to avoid stories that touch

  8. Why does he find 4, 6, and 10 year olds sexy regardless of what they're wearing? Pervert!!

I grew up around tons of children who were naked/ practically naked 24/7. Kids shouldn't wear shorts? They shouldn't have long hair? They shouldn't wear 'halter tops'? (Aka singlet/shimi😂).. He's the one who needs to stop sexualizing kids.. Nigerians will still defend this pedophile😒

    2. Just listen to yourself, why does a baby need to dress indecently? He just made his point, if u dress ur kids that way and encourage them to be sexy,a time will come when you ll Be unable to control the outcome in thr teenage years. This has nothing to do with pedophilia or anything, it's about imbibing the correct morals in our kids while they are still young

      Get educated.

    6. Oh shut up you uneducated morons. Lack of exposure is really a killer. There's nothing sexy or indecent about a CHILD in shorts. You're all just sickos.

Nigerians have absolutely no right to talk about morality. You people are the most evil things to ever walk the earth. It takes a lot more than 'covering up' to have morals and principles. Naija morality starts and ends with the length of a womans skirt.

@Gbogbo bigz girlz Don't be an idiot. They show the same amount of skin.

    1. This attitude of mind our business isn't always the answer especially when it involves imbibing the right values in kids. Back in the day, it was a collective responsibility of a community, neighbours to raise kids. I remember growing up, when my mum isn't around, my neighbours wife will always be there to correct us if she sees us doing something wrong.

  13. I remember this birthday party we got invited to, this little girl twerked, gyrated and whined her tiny hips endlessly.

I felt very uncomfortable. It started out entertaining and I was even having this cheery, cute smile on my face until it turned from little, cute Miss sunshine to Video Vixen,my smile froze!!!

I had this disapproving look and my body language showed it too,to think that some of the guys seated close by were ogling and slapping each other excitedly was disturbing. They thought I was a kill joy.

I'm no expert at raising kids(stiLl learning) but that particular one was just extreme.

For the bum shorts, most of them are actually age appropriate.
The only time it starts looking less "cute" and more sexual is if the 6-10 years old is developing too fast eg...pronounced boobs and hips, then more appropriate clothing is advised.

    1. I once went out at night. The daughter of the owner,7yrs old was dancing and every time timaya sings 'shake una bumbum'(or whatever he says) she would bounce her bum so vigourously and everybody would clap and egg her on.It was disgusting.Men were making such dirty comments.I went to her mother and politely tried to talk to her.She said if I didn't like how her daughter was using her God-given talents(the shaking una bumbum talent,I guess),I could walk.Since she didn't want polite,I gave it to her exactly how she wanted.I ended up being escorted out and even insulted by some of the guests but I know there were some who understood because after 2dys,that little girl never danced there again.

Absolutely inappropriate and the sad thing is that her Mom didn't see anything wrong with it.

  14. I totally agree with him, what is sad is that most of these kids are dressed by their mothers who seem to think it's a sign of them knowing "what's up".The lewd dancing is another matter altogether...its really stomach churning. It's only an ignorant person that will see his comments as bad.We are not Kardashians bikonu.

    1. Tell dem Platinum. The man is right. I just love Anna Bana's pictures of her cute baby. If I were to judge from those pictures I would say she's a good mother. Of recent I have been alarmed at pictures of celebrity babies with heavy make up, weaves and wigs. Please let's allow our kids to be kids. In time they will grow and can then adopt some of these things decently. There are too many perverts in the society today, let's educate and protect our children.

    2. Kids aren't sexually abused because of their clothes you dumb fucks. Thousands of kids are abused even when they're covered head to toe, aren't they? You sickos love making excuses for pedos. Typical.

  19. This is no news again, the other day I tried talking to a child of about 6/7 yrs old, you need to see the clothes she wore, I couldnt hold myself, I called and told her my dear, what you're wearing is too provocative and not decent, that you are a child of God and shouldn't be seen dressed like a club girl, that there should be a different between you tht know God and have fear of God and people in the world, she told her mum about it and the mum came angrily at me, what do I mean by what I told her child, do I want to tell her I know better than she that gave birth to her and dressed her, I should mind my business, when I give birth to mine I can do what ever I feel. Hmmm I just kept mute. I no one chop beating for advice I give

What about adults what they wear alone can make you weep for this generation, a lady seated in front of me in a Wednesday mid week service with this very hot gown, she was carrying her baby with one hand and the other hand she kept using it to drag her gown down, I just said in my mind, who send you work, see how your stressing yourself. God will help us to train your children in the right way.

  20. People no longer care bout this anymore, we live a carefree life, parent no longer play their role as parrents any more. All this new generation parent are clueless bout parenting. All they do is fhuck, attend parties, be on social media 24/7 and watch porn. How do you expect them to be good parents?

  21. Totally agree with you! Let's all try and be objective here...underestimate your kids and suffer the consequences!

  22. Kids have been getting abused since thy kingdom come. Since the days of bogus aunty-give-me-cake dresses. Infact i dare say abuse was more rampant back then. Yes. Almost 70 percent of girls in our age group were molested by one uncle or the other. So it has nothing to do with dressing. A pervert is a pervert. You hardly see women looking at a little boy like an adult because he wore a nice shirt and a durag or because he wore a three piece suit. Its always perverted men who'd look at a girl child sexually because she was dressed as an adult. KOK face your work.

  23. @ J Baby ; You are very very stupid. You mean you called A CHILD of 6yrs old and you were saying all that?!. You should speak to the mother (which is not even your business in the first place) and not the child.

ONly PEDOPHILEs would actually consider clothes as sexy on a 4 or 6yr old!. You've got to have a corrupt mind or lived/living a corrupt life to think so.

Using myself as an E.G. I was raised rocking my "skimpy" clothes. Am now 28 in a steady relationship and still a VIRGIN. Meanwhile a bff of mine, comes from a religious home, she had no holes in her ears until she gained admission into Uniben. She doesn't wear trousers. She is in the choir. Her dad is high ranking in the church they attend. Guess what? My frend currently has 3 Boyfriends & sleeping with 2out of them. She having unprotected sex with the 1 of the 2. In fact she is currently eyeing 2 other guys. She is more of a party goer than me. Although, she doesn't drink but she ready to give it to any guy that spends.

My Point: What u put your kids in is totally different from how you will train them and the knowledge you choose to impact on them.

    1. Right! How can you say what a child is wearing is provocative? What feelings does it provoke/ evoke in you abeg? This place is full of rapists/ potential rapists and people who'll defend them to death.

I wear the skimpiest clothes. I always have but I can bet my bottom dollar I am far more decent than these hypocrites. It's summer where I live and the heat/ humidity is a killer. All the kids are in shorts or rompers and no one is calling them sexy or saying they're being provocative. Nigerians are just evil sick mofos.
