Do people honestly expect the president to wear rags just because the country is in recession? He can BLOODY afford it. Btw, he doesn't wven have to be president to wear one as if you love quality, you go for it and use till you vex oneday and either dashout or throwaway.

His SA tweeted a pic that he had them even during campaign and naira was stronger then so it wasn't even this expensive when he bought it. It's just the current hardship making people notice these things

    2. @queen, you were right the first time. And I agree wth you, he made a show of how poor he was, that is what is making people scrutinise his clothes and that of his family. Nigerians never used to do this before. We are known for our extravagance, see how Nigerians raid Dubai, UK, etc for shopping

  12. Some people sha! There is the possibility that the President did not spend a dime on those pairs. Politicians receive luxury gifts all the time, and President Buhari's must have received it as a gift. What if he decided to spend his hard earned money to purchase one good pair of shoes? Men spend a lot of money on good shoes. Most men i know has few pairs of shoes but quite expensive shoe. A man once told me that, he can spend 10,000Euros on a pair because is what connect him to the Earth.
The shoes are not even that expensive. Some Nigerians need to take some chill pills. He is the Country's President for crying out loud.

  19. So? Is it too expensive for a president to wear?

    ReplyDelete
  20. LOL,let me start by noting that those shoes are not expensive for a NIGERIAN President.

An average earner even spends more on hair commulatively or even for just 2packs of em.

That said, the response from the Preseident's team sounded too grainy.
Why respond to this at all,and not even with something very intelligent, you had to make it worse?
The President had dem shoes before his inauguration is what they said....i think it makes the situation a little bit laughable.

Yes we know he could have got them as a gift(there are a lot of people hovering and begging them to take these things sef).

When you remember how he alleged that he was an average farmer, just like the other one had no shoes...you begin to think that just maybe, the president should never have taken those donations from the POOR. Yes!

Realistically, the president can afford those shoes a million times!
He could afford them 10years ago,he can afford them 10years to come, heck! He can even afford to buy Bakassi Penisula if he wants. He has the "Kudi",lets stop with the farmer from Daura facade.

    Btw,the President looks goooooddd.

    Morning everyone.

And why should someone else step up to pay for another man's lies and fake promises, when he knew he couldn't afford it why was he making empty promises. He should live with the shame, and if that is how you see it, why did you not step up and pay the money foolish hypocrite. By the way have you and your pauper husband brushed those smelly mouths of yours this morning you this dirty goat brain chopper.

My bf wears expensive shoes, he can spend 1k dollars on a pair of shoe, someone that already bought Gucci shoe of about 1,000 dollars for his cousin's wedding dated for December.! Pls they should let PMB rest, he is a classy man. I was even thinking the shoe is about 5million naira o
