DeleteI saw your name, Congrats. It's written in the try again section. Goodluck
DeleteLet them keep playing politics. I know a learned and 'over qualfied' man who has been applying over the years but is yet to be conferred ith the title. Mr Kolawole Esan; a GREAT man, angel on earth, very eloquent and intelligent.
ReplyDeleteIt's all politics really. Festus is as good or even better than some names on that list.
DeleteFestus Keyamo? You can't mention SANship and Keyamo in same breath. He is just a sensational lawyer who latches on high profile cases for the media attention he can garner. The real lawyers are in court with records of convictions secured or defenses made not whipping up controversies on the pages of newspapers. He is the type John Grisham would describe as an "Ambulance Chaser". His turn will come when he has paid his dues.
ReplyDeleteSpot on
DeleteLaymen wouldn't understand this. It's not everything that's political. Pay your dues, have you ever heard the likes of Femi Falana, Festus Keyamo and the late Gani winning cases. They are more noise makers than lawyers. The legal terrain is still more sane than the rest of Nigeria.
DeleteWell said
DeleteYou are so on point. Qualification for the conferment of SANship is nt by making noise on d pages of newspapers or TV. U must pay ur dues! How many contentious cases has festus won @ the C/A or S/C? Even tho these days, some wururu dey involved but then, there are still listed requirements u knw.
DeleteBtw, is that Olanipekun up there related to Wole Olnipekun?
Keyamo no dey sit down for office. After his workers have finished the work, he will say give me the paper, I will address the court myself. This applies to sensational cases o.
Delete@ Annony 10.35am, spot on @ your spot on!
Delete@ New Wig, it's a terrain that is still difficult for wuru-wuru to navigate
@BonaParte NN, hullo dear intellectual being.
@ Blog Addict, I see the fire in you. Blaze on!
@ Annony 13.23pm, he is very narcissistic in courtrooms. He likes to make other counsels cower down even at the point of entering appearance.
Congrats to all of them. But wetin Kayamo do you people? After been shortlisted agin, his name is still missing, God will help him o
ReplyDelete*Larry was here*
Nice, bros Dewunmi is now a SAN; His late dad would have been so proud.
ReplyDeleteCongrats to them all.
Click my name for all your celebration cakes and cupcakes, cheers
Very proud of Dewunmi Ogunsanya. 'Well deserved. Extremely hardworking, passionate about whatever he does, patriotic Nigerian, He has a good soul. Congrats our Dewunmi!
DeleteThis people know what they are doing. That was how they kept on denying Femi Falana till he was eventually made SAN.
ReplyDeleteMaybe in the coming years they will make him one. Politics everywhere.
Nice one to James Ikeyi...another one for UNN
ReplyDeleteJames Ikeyi the stupid man. The idiot lawyer who slaps and kicks his junior lawyers. Claims to be a catholic but I don't think he knows what he's catholicing.
DeleteWhy did they even make him a SAN? That nigger no deserve am at all.
Ode nie!
Which nice one? James a eex convict. James who does jankara practice? James who slaps his junior up and down? If it was his younger brother Nduka then it would have been a nice one. SANship is all about politics. Wonder whose nyansh James licked
DeleteJames Ikeyi exconvict? Keep on lying. You think because you are anonymous you can lie maliciously and wickedly against someone that God did not see you? Continue ooooo
DeleteBeing made a SAN (equivalent of Queen's Counsel in the UK) is less dependent on how much of a legal wizard you are but is more about how influential you are with those who are responsible for making these appointments. Our family's lawyer, Olumide Sofowora waited ages before he was appointed. [BHS].
ReplyDeleteKeyamo go join cult now. Abi your cult no like better things. Ask them make them tell you how far. Ur name no go miss again
ReplyDeleteNa free masons get SANship! Most of them na FM except the ones wey get like 10-20millions to buy am or else you no send & dm can't ignore bc of ur work. But whr u go get brief run that parole if u no join the chorus? (na dia click de shia all the big briefs)We sabi pass all ds dia dramatic played out scripts. Na him mk lawyers they say SCRAP THIS SHIT.
DeleteI think there its on how many cases you have won in the supreme court that qualifies you. I don't know but there's a certain criteria to it
ReplyDeleteMy name shall be there in Jesus name
ReplyDeleteGood for them
ReplyDeleteThe politics is too much
ReplyDeleteProf Omaka chukwu of Ebonyi state University faculty of law.Prof congrats. SANship is more of political.
ReplyDeleteStella abeg dey your lane.
ReplyDeleteIts not until you rant on the pages of newspaperbefore you can be a SAN.
Just as how we have many PHD with nice columns on the dalies but yet to be a prof.
So lets say what we know and leave what we dont know.

Hahahahhahahahah.
DeleteLmao
Congrats to them all. It ain't easy.
ReplyDeleteCongrats to them
ReplyDeleteDid Keyamo applied again? Well following SDK, this post has a right of reply.
ReplyDeleteEhmm appointments are on merit but mostly politically motivated but also more of merit for those who are apolitical.
Did I just see 'Eminem' der
ReplyDeleteSAN for Keyamo-No too controversial.
