Saraki Reshuffles Senate Committees And Gives Marafa,Tinubu “Juicy” Posts

The Senate President, Bukola Saraki, has reshuffled the leaderships of the Senate’s committees.

Mr. Saraki’s most outspoken critic, Kabiru Marafa, was appointed chairman of the Petroleum (downstream) Committee. He was chairman of the Committee on National Population.

Also, Oluremi Tinubu, a key member of the anti-Saraki Unity Forum, was named chairperson of the Committee on Environment.

Previously, she headed the Committtee on Women Affairs.

Mr. Saraki made the announcement shortly before the senate adjourned on Thursday.
Suleiman Hukunyi, another critic of the senate president, is now in charge of the Committee on National Identity.
The re-composition of the Senate committees was one of the conditions put forward by Unity Forum Senators for peace to return to the troubled assembly.

More details later.

  1. This country is just a huge joke. One woman held d entire Senate to ransom. I can only give Dat as d reason for this position they just gave her. Can't wait for all these old cargos in power to just age up and die already so that we can finally start our rebuilding process

    1. I pray for us youth coming behind. We really need a revolution starting from the old ones. The youth are already clamoring to do worse as they are being groomed to continue to suck and mortgage our country. Look at the likes of Fayose and Obanikoro kids. They are already exposed to stealing huge amounts of money.....SMH

I just don't understand why he had to appoint that woman. Guess he's trying to play a fair game because of the 'heat". Very undeserving. Mshew

  10. Mr Saraki is just a huge joke. Continue appeasing every tom, dick & harry that you feel will aid you whilst you continue to be bedfellows with your previous party members. Don't worry next time the whole house will be closed for session so as to follow you to the court house cos who knows...efcc may yet come knocking for any of them &the gesture will be returned.
