Pastor Oyakhilome Ready To Re-Marry....

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome who allegedly gave up on his former wife when it became clear to him that there was no way that they could resolve their differences and save their marriage, is reportedly set to re-marry.

An exclusive report by ThisDay, has revealed that influential cleric, Chris Oyakhilome, who is the founding president of Believers' Loveworld Incorporated a.k.a Christ Embassy, is considering taking another wife, years after his marriage to his lovely wife, Anita Chris Oyakhilome (who has since reverted to her maiden name) collapsed.

Although the dandy pastor hasn’t made this known to his congregation, close sources and findings, revealed that a large segment of his congregation are already aware of his plans to take another wife, and rather than urge him to reconcile with his wife, they are reportedly cheering him on.

Shockingly, it has also been learnt that the ladies have started positioning themselves to fill up the void created by Anita’s departure from his life, as a lot of fair-skinned ladies in the church’s branches at home and abroad have started jostling to become the next Mrs. Oyakhilome. But Pastor Chris is reportedly not interested in any of them.

Sources revealed that by the time he names his new bride, every member of his congregation will gape in surprise.

The billionaire pastor allegedly gave up on his former wife when it became clear to him that there was no way that they could resolve their differences and save their marriage. Previous attempts to reconcile the couple by church elders, friends and family had proved futile.

While Pastor Chris prepares to take a new bride as widely speculated, his estranged wife, Anita has since reverted to her maiden name. She is now to be addressed as Anita Ebhodaghe.

It also mentioned that after the 2 parties are divorced, they shouldn't remarry as they will be committing adultery even after divorce. It also went on to say unless one party dies before the other can remarry..

I'll understand if those who aren't pastors get it wrong but as a pastor, aren't you suppose to lead by example?? And how long ago was it that they divorced that he is already getting married??

    2. He didn't treat her right for years and didn't make a genuine effort to reconcile. There was also the issue of inappropriate relationships with other women ie PYK, who I heard from an insider tried to poison Pastor Anita once. I was a member and saw a lot of things that were not right.

  42. Jesus allowed divorce on only two grounds
    1. Adultery ( Matthew 19;9, Matthew 5; 32)
    2. Abandonment by an unbeliever (1 Corinthians 7; 15)
So Pastor Anita was justified, according to the Bible, in filing for divorce because it's an open secret that Pastor Chris sleeps with everything in skirt!
The Bible never prohibits divorce. It said "God hates divorce" not "God forbids divorce." God's law in the old testament allowed for divorce (Deuteronomy 24: 1-4).
God hates divorce and as much as as possible, it should be avoided. But divorce is NOT forbidden like some Christians say, because in some rare cases, Bible allows for divorce.

But as a pastor he should seek repentance. Not just jump into another marriage.

    2. Read your bible well, there's no where it permits a woman to divorce her husband. Nowhere! Before you begin to throw words like "chauvinist" around, study the bible and understand what I just said. Some crooks will curl their hair and be deceiving some small-minded folks. Who no sabi say Chris na guy man?

    4. @Blunt 1 Corinthians 7; 15 "But if an unbeliever leaves, let it be so. The BROTHER or SISTER is NOT bound in such circumstances. God has called us to live in peace." That is what the text says. You can cross check in your bible.
Paul didn't say "brother" or "brother", he said "brother" or "sister" so I believe he was talking about both men and women, unless of course the word "sister" is for males in your language. Paul in this verse justified divorce for both men and women. And its pretty clear he was talking about marriage in 1 Corinthians chapter 7 verse 1 up until verse 16.

    3. @Anon 12; 25 The verses you are talking about address remarriage, which is cited as adultery here and not just divorce. @Anon 12; 37 1 Corinthians 7; 10-16 supports what I am saying which is

-Divorce is hated by God and should be avoided, BUT if left with no alternative, the Bible DOES allow divorce in rare instances

Also, the verses you both cited are against REMARRIAGE after DIVORCE, not necessarily DIVORCE ITSELF. So if it's remarriage then yes, there's a problem. But divorce, although bad, is justified in some cases by the Bible. It's remarriage after divorce that is NOT allowed.

    1. God permitted divorce but she's the couples not to remarry. He permitted divorce for infidelity. He asked them to stay single and should only remarry when one party dies.

As if they get married they would be committing adultery..

  46. Let's be careful in judging and go as the spirit leads. Remember the story of Esther and queen vashti . Know one knows Gods mind and reasons he allows things to happen . We can as well say why did God allow Esther to take someone else's home- as we usually tag( home breaker). Also remember the genealogy of Jesus Christ : "the harlot" who saved d spice. Pls do not judge so you won't be judged. Face your salvation and work it out with fear and trembling. Many stories in the bible that if we mix and match we might even judge God but we need to be careful and pray. It's non of our business what happens to a man of God . Only pray for them. Remember Moses and Aaron plus Miriam's story. Please hug your salvation and face your works. All the Uches and Daddy freeze in the house .
For the records I don't attend Christ embassy before some elenu think am taking sides with pastor Chris. lets not feel we know too much of d bible and judge ourselves inclusive. Don't allow ur emotions becloud your reasoning . Think deep before you speak. Don't fly into conclusions.
    Thanks for reading.

    1. But same Bible says that we are not meant to judge unbelievers but we are to judge within the church. If we turn our eyes from atrocities within, how are we helping the body of Christ? In those days men of God were almost above reproach. God Himself interacted with them for all to see. Today, we are surrounded by wolves in sheep's clothing, by antichrists bearing the name of Pastor, Reverend, Man of God, Father, General Overseer etc, from such, we should be wise about. Many of such are leading droves of people to hell.

  49. "The Bible's teaching on divorce is expansive; however, in this short piece, we'll narrow our focus to one important aspect of Jesus's teaching from Mark 10:1–12—the condition for divorce.

When the Pharisees tested Jesus on this controversial issue of divorce, His response focused on the "one fleshness" of a married couple (Mark 10:2–9). Later, the disciples privately asked Jesus to explain His answer (10:10). As was His custom, once He was alone with the disciples, Jesus underscored the salient part of His teaching. He clearly stated that marriage is to be a permanent bond between one man and one woman. To break it off and marry another is adultery (10:11–12)".

Jesus affirmed (and still affirms) the permanence of the marriage bond. But He also acknowledged that because of the depravity of the human heart, the marriage bond might be severed under certain circumstances. What are those circumstances? That requires us to turn to the "exception clause" of Matthew 19:9:

I say to you, whoever divorces his wife, except for immorality, and marries another woman commits adultery.
The Greek word Jesus used for "immorality" is the word from which we get our modern word pornography. "Immorality" in this verse is based on the word porneia. The root, porne, means "prostitute." In Matthew 19, Jesus could have used the word molxeia, the word used specifically for adultery, but He chose a broader term. Porneia, when applied to illicit sexual activity among unmarried couples, is often translated "fornication." When applied to illicit sexual activity among those who are married, porneia is often translated "adultery." In either case, porneia is considered immorality.

Generally, the Greek term porneia refers to sexual activity that is immoral, illicit, and sometimes unnatural. For this reason, some scholars interpret the term loosely and apply it to homosexuality, bestiality, incest, and the like. But let's keep in mind, no matter how immoral these activities are, Jesus only permitted divorce for such offenses... He did not command it.

If you have a spouse guilty of the kinds of things just described, you're not commanded to walk away from that person. The goal in such marital relationships is reconciliation—always. Paul wrote in Galatians 6:1: "If anyone is caught in any trespass, you who are spiritual, restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness."

Divorce is a personal decision, not a divine mandate. And porneia isn't a blanket rule that we smear across all immorality in marriages and say, "Ah-hah! Now you've done it! It's over! Our next stop is divorce court." Again, divorce is permitted in cases of porneia; it's not commanded. Reconciliation is the goal—a spirit of, "How can we work through this serious breach in our relationship?" not, "How can I get out of it?"

Let me add that porneia isn't an unforgivable sin. Admittedly, it is a serious, heartbreaking, and emotionally shattering act of disobedience and betrayal. But it need not be treated as if it cannot be forgiven. If you're in the midst of heartbreaking betrayal and you believe your marriage is hanging in the balance, please consider the hard work of reconciliation before you make the kneejerk reaction: "I've got grounds for a divorce, and I'm not stopping until I get it!" More often than not, filing those papers will only trade one heartache for an even deeper one".
