This is a copyright infringement law suit involving Nigerian Breweries who was accused of infringing the copyright of Internal Pageant and Films (the company that owns Lagos Fashion Week).
The company is claiming the total sum of N1.7 trillion Naira or $3.5billion dollars against Nigerian Breweries for hosting, staging and performing in public "Heineken Lagos Fashion and Design Week 2015" without paying the company any royalty and without the company's authority.
Nigerian Breweries NB Plc is the principal defendant along with Bank of Industry, Sterling Bank Plc, Guardian Newspaper, Genevieve Magazine, Uber Nigeria, Segun Awolowo's Nigerian Export Promotion Council. The defendants who are supporters and financiers of the GEJ campaign committed the illegal acts with impunity during the regime of President Goodluck Jonathan regime.
Now the chicken has come home to roost as Nigerian Breweries and his co-infringers have been ordered to appear in court on August 2nd, 2016, at 9:00am at Federal High Court 11, Abuja.

ReplyDeletesup with ur farting after eating that beans?
DeleteStella is this a sponsored post or do you have any proof that these companies sponsored GEJ's campaign??? What kind of biased report is this??? Did you make any effort to hear from the other parties involved? What does a copyright case have to do with politics? Why the political insinuation? For the sake of your credibility please provide answers to these questions.

ReplyDeleteStella i hope the name GEJ doesnt make you cum, anyways may the innocent win, considering the fact that we have a messed up justice system.
ReplyDeleteClearly this case is sub-judice. You could be arrested for contempt of court for publishing unfounded stories that may prejudice the case. Get a life!
ReplyDeleteEveryone should beware of persons behind these International Pageant or whatever they call themselves, They just go about suing companies. For confidential reasons I would have listed the number of companies they have sued. BEWARE OF THEM, they are only after making money from court cases
