The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), says that assistant coaches of the various national teams, will no longer be paid monthly salaries.
The Glass House is seeking to reduce their dinancial burden and stated from henceforth, the assistants will only be paid bonuses and allowances.
“Executive committee approved that henceforth, only the head coaches of the various national teams will be on monthly salary, while assistant coaches will receive only bonuses and allowances,” a communiqué released on Wednesday read.
“The assistant coaches presently in the NFF’s employ have been given till the end of this year to secure substantive employment elsewhere, as the federation deals squarely with its financial constraints.”

ReplyDeleteThis is really daft. This is what happen everytime when management is trying to cut down their overhead cost, they forget that their own salary is where the bulk of the money goes. How in the world will you have people in your payroll without salary? With what contract? Mr Picnik, reduce your salary and your management team salary first and wahali, you will be surprise at what will be available to pay the assistant coaches. Thank.
ReplyDeleteNa them sabi,
ReplyDeleteRubbish!
ReplyDeleteStupid decision. Let NFF leaders scrap their own salaries too.
ReplyDeleteHow earth will the assistant coaches give there best. What happen when the coach is ill? Well Mr Picnic and his board members will get sense when Nigeria fall number 200 in the world. Jesu Olugbala.
ReplyDeleteSo if NFF won't be paying assistant coach they shouldnt have ASC then, how can they be there without payment? They should start cutting cost from there fat salary first
