FG To Start Free Feeding of 5.5million Students in September

The Federal Government has confirmed that it will commence its National Home Grown School Feeding Programme in September with 5.5 million pupils nationwide.

National Programme Manager, Mrs Abimbola Adesanmi, disclosed this in Abeokuta on Wednesday.
She spoke at the opening of a two-day stakeholders’ workshop on the Ogun State Home Grown School Feeding Programme.

Adesanmi noted that the scheme “would accommodate pupils in Primary 1 to 3 at the outset, and would move to other classes once the nation’s resources improves”.
The official further explained that all the states of the federation would benefit from the social intervention programme, depending on their preparedness.

  2. And I still ask if this feeding is what is needed.
When I calculate the money that will go into this program, I see good well paid teachers, I see good hospitals, basic amenities in some rural and urban settling.
How I wish they can forget about this feeding and channel the money into other areas of governance.

  12. Very true @ LINDY most of the teacher's in these Nigerian school's are possessed. There is this incident that hoppend long ago about a little girl that was very intelligent & her result was always d best in d class each term, but immediately they changed the teacher handling her class the little girl became "dull" automatically. But thank God the girls mother was a strong Christian and after much prayer and fasting it was revealed that it was the new teacher that exchanged d little girl's brain with that of her child. That was how d teacher was exposed and d little girl got her brain back & was also delivered.

  13. You can feed pupils when you owe their teachers cos two things are sure to happen.
1: The teachers will take half of the food home to feed their families.
2: The teachers will take most of the home to feed their families.

Mission will not accomplished cos pupils will not be fed and will still go home hungry
