Doctors In House Section.

OH MY GOD!!!

FOUR YEAR OLD WITH STAPH

My 4yr old daughter who will be 5 by October has staphylococcus infection.

I have been to the Doctor twice and they  gave us some antibiotics like zinnat and flagy etc and after finishing the drugs, the smell continues from her pant.

I have gone for herbal and after finishing the agbo same thing, she baths with unscented soap,I am so tired and frustrated and once in a while there's discharge from her privates.

I am sure there is no abuse cos we stay alone, no male gender saying with us, please what else can I do ? any gynaecologist in the house to help me ???

    1. Yes. Anybody can get such. Unfortunately most of us think that staph is an std which is not the case. Staph can be found on the skin and all around you so it's very possible for a child of four and below to contact staph without any form of sexual abuse.

  4. Are you sure no one is touching her in school. Ask her if any aunty or uncle has been touching her private parts, cause my friends maid was using her fingers to abuse her 3 year old baby girl

    1. Staph isn't sexually transmitted, it's on the skins on a lot of people, it causes infections when it leaves it's normal environment and goes somewhere else. It causes everything from pneumonia, food poisoning skin infections to endocarditis. The only time you should start to assume sexual contact is of they find staph saprophyticus as the cause of a UTI in the child.

    2. Thank you anon 16;00.Staph aureus is not a sexually transmitted disease. The micro org is responsible for boils, pimples, carbuncles etc. It is found on the skin and nasAl passages

  5. poster you should not just conclude about the abuse, some male teachers can also abuse a child. Try to change all her panties and get her new ones, once you guys are home let her stay without wearing pant, always use baby wipes to clean her bum bum, stop using soap to wash her private part. To cure staph is not a day job, you need patient and consistent treatment.

  6. This is very bad, but since you said there's no male living with you, what about her school? Don't you know abuse can come from females as well?

  7. OMG!!!
You can't be so sure just cos you stay alone, open her legs and check for any signs of penetration.

PS: fathers rape their little babies too.

  8. Na Wa o... God pls help! I hear staph can be so stubborn. I have no idea at all of what can help.

  9. Staph can also be contacted through skin-skin contact tho, contact with contaminated persons or surfaces in the case of an open wound.
Didn't the doctor tell you that too?

    2. Easy Anon 14.43. I didn't like the expression Stella used, either. She made it look like something so terrible happened. Expressions like this is the reason why, a lot of ignorant people like you come here screaming that staph is an std which is absolutely false. If you are ignorant of something ask google so that you don't fool yourself. It's a good thing anonymous 11.53 voiced out her opinion because I reason with her but she/he should have been more subtle about it.

  11. Try her with augumentin. I think they have children's own, it will do the wonders.

Also, make sure, she does not put her hands in her pussy because this too might prolong it. Children can touch anything at home even when everywhere is dusty.

    It is well.

  12. Have you changed her panties?

  13. *no male gender staying with us*
Madam, I'm a mother too, I also have a daughter, I know how you feel but pls its not only males that abuse kids these days, females abuse kids too, (the bisexuals and lesbians and the psychos). Also, some kids are abused in the school and places of worship, not forgetting neighbours including fellow kids , the list is endless. Have you checked her privates to see if her hymen is still intact? Have you questioned her thoroughly? Do your investigation well. When you treat her again, dispose all her panties, tights and boxers and buy new ones for her. Kpele dear.

  15. its odd for a 5year old to have active vaginal discharges. you could hv been more specific about the smell. fishy? chocking? does she still bedwet? u cld ensure the area is always dry cos moisture breeds germs that causes foul odor, you also hv to ask her personal questions about sexual activity, esp at school, don't just assume things. u cld run a smear test where a bud will only be swiped around her privates and secretions tested to know the exact bacteria causing it so a proper antibiotics will be prescribed. good luck.

  23. It cld be from the toilet, staph is also a toilet infection and also always check if she wears wet panties or sleeps with her pants on.

    ReplyDelete
  24. What if she's been abused in her school or is staph not transmitted sexually?pls take her to a doctor

    ReplyDelete
  25. Hian na wao, madam I hope u are not dirty, how neat is ur toilet, staph can also be contracted through a dirty toilet, check ur hygiene.

    ReplyDelete
  26. all you "fiful" shouting abuse, what if she contacted it thru body contact or through direct contact with contaminated surface and not through any sexual activities. staph infection are spread by direct physical contact with the bacteria, the contact is frequently skin to skin but it can also be spread through contact with contaminated surfaces or personal items. so lets not rule the fact that she might have contacted it through direct contact with contaminated surface. its sad tho.

    1. Madam, she should stop wearing all the pants she was wearing during that period. Don't wait till 6 months time. No matter the treatment, if she still uses same pant, it must come back. She will be fine, be strong

  31. Madam! Take your child to a proper hospital and let them do all the right tests! As a matter of fact stop that herbal whatever now!

  32. Hello?
Go to a proper Hospital and find out if she has a urinary tract obstruction. You may request an abdominopelvic scan as well to view the bladder.
Again since you have access to data why not use Google? Type in -causes of smelly urine in toddlers.
You are welcome Madame. And I do think you need to use bleach after using the toilet, every time. Hope you are not sharing toilet with the neighbours.

  33. Pls go to a good general hospital, try gbagada

    ReplyDelete
  34. Please take your daughter to a very good hospital. You didn't say where you live but Ave Maria in Oniru is very good, general hospitals are also a good option if you can't afford it. You need to treat this before it deteriorates. They need to test which antibiotic will cure the infection as the ones she is taking may not work for the particular strain of staph she has. Self medication or chemists shouldn't be an option. Dispose of her pants during treatment not after 6 months. Get her a potty and clean with care after use if you sure toilets, you may have higher immunity which is why you don't have it. It's always good to go back for a test few days after taking the medication instead of assuming it's gone.
