ReplyDeleteTopic of today's service was walk with God and we readd frm Gen 17:1-9 and Philipian 1:1-9. When u walk with God,he will perfect everything that concerns you. You will have dominion over sickness and diseases and God will give u the grace to overcome all of life's situations. One of the ways to walk with God is to study the word of God .The gospel is God's power,wen u re away frm the gospel,u limit urself of the power of God .agreement enforces legal realities of the gospel . Speaking the word also. Bible says calling those things that be not as though they are.
DeleteYeah @ Oby O. The homily talked about growing your spiritual life. It also talked about spending your time with people that matters such as your family instead of sending gifts and money, cos what they really need from you might be your time, love and affection rather than money.

DeleteI learned that because we missed it doesn't mean we are out. Our mistakes shouldn't mar us from coming to God daily in repentance. We must walk by faith and not by feelings. Faith not only in believing for material things but also in knowing and believing that Christ died and washed our sins away so we shouldn't punish ourselves anymore for the sins of our past. I learned that once I come in total surrender and repentance and ask God for forgiveness, coming by the blood is Jesus, God forgives my sins and remembers them no more.

DeleteOn my way to church to thank God for adding another year to my little girl's age, she is two today. I bless the name of the Lord. Even though there is no money to cook anything special, we thank God there is life.

During question and answer section today at church, a woman asked if its right for her husband to Demand that she writes the shopping for the house weekly and in alphabetical order. After doing this, she must type it out and present it to his workers who will now pass it on to his table at the office. Note the shopping list must be typed and in alphabetical order. Imagine. She does this every week. What type of man is that?

Many women in church kept quiet as they themselves are probably being manhandled by their own husbands. How can a man be beating you up before you married him and you went ahead and married him??? Even the guy answering questions said same thing.

THEME: SEPARATED UNTO THE LORD
MEMORISE
Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect. Matthew 5:48
READ: Genesis 17:1-7
17:1 And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the LORD appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before Me, and be thou perfect.
17:2 And I will make My covenant between Me and thee, and will multiply thee exceedingly.
17:3 And Abram fell on his face: and God talked with him, saying.
17:4 As for Me, behold, My covenant is with thee, and thou shalt be a father of many nations.
17:5 Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for a father of many nations have I made thee.
17:6 And I will make thee exceeding fruitful, and I will make nations of thee, and kings shall come out of thee.
17:7 And I will establish My covenant between me and thee and thy seed after thee in their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God unto thee, and to thy seed after thee.
MESSAGE
God Almighty does not hide His feelings about how we must relate with Him; He wants us to be totally His. The Bible says: "Thou shall have no other gods before Me." (Exodus 20:3). There should be nothing standing between us and our God neither should there be anything taking His place in our lives. The only way we can convince Him of the fact that we are totally His is when we are completely separated unto Him; when nothing/no one else can lay claim on our lives.
In our Bible reading for today, God asked Abraham to walk before Him and be perfect. In other words, God was telling His friend, Abraham that He needed more of his devotion, commitment and consecration. This is what God demands from all men, particularly His children. To be separated unto the Lord is to be separated from this world of sin. The Bible says:
"I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God."
Romas 12:1-2
This should be a very pleasant development for those who have suffered from the tyrant Lucifer. The entanglement with this world is enslaving and deadly but the unfortunate thing about this is that the victim may not realise it. Worldliness is a subtle taskmaster that must be avoided by all the children of God. The "twin sisters" whose names are godliness and contentment are the answers to the challenge of worldliness that brings serious entanglement upon Children of God. Our Lord Jesus Christ said:
"No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon". Matthew 6:24
We must separate ourselves from material things of this world if we will please our God. The Bible says: "But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition. For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. 1st Timothy 6:9-10
Therefore, it is not profitable for us to allow this to take our lives away from our Maker. Let us acknowledge the primacy of the original Royalty, the God of the Heavens and the Earth. May our services be acceptable to Him from today in Jesus' name.

Mama E,from one mother to another the fact that you are going to thank God for her life is more than enough... I am raising my kids to understand that even though i can afford to give them almost everything they need, i will only give them what is neccersary... Topic was: God's Motive in disciplining. Texts; John 1:12-13, Heb 12:5-11. Chastening from the Lord is scriptural. God can only chastise you if you're His son, and every good father corrects and punishes His son when such need arises. God's Motive in chastening is to lead you to repentance 2COR 7:9, to restore you back to fellowship 1John1:3, to make us more faithful and humble. Note that God discipline has duration & until the time elapses, you may not receive mercy Jer29;4-10. God's purpose for discipline is not to kill us but to correct us. May God free us from every suspension our sin and disobedience has brought upon, us in Jesus' name....Amen. It was a glorious and eye opening service indeed! Not every wilderness experience is from the 'village people.'
