Actress Omoni Oboli seems to be one of the few actresses making money producing her own movie..wow!
I have friends in the industry and i know how much they complain about this and that and no script or direction....

    People must sha talk, is it the family drama and basic plot that nollywood churns out the want them to shoot in years? When there is no science fiction involved why would they shoot for years?

      It can be that much or more depending on the size of the extras and details required in both preproduction and post production.

      Principal photography can take a couple of days to weeks that run into months depending on the complexity of the film.
      The major time spent is usually during the preproduction (planning before shooting) and post production (editing, special effects, sound, colour grading etc (that can last for many months). A film you heard took two years to produce may actually have been shot in 2 - 6 months more or less.

      Omoni is trying, but its also not uncommon for Naija filmmakers to exaggerate a little. It raises the perceived value of the movie.

      Oftentimes a good percentage of those 250 people MAY earn anything between 1k-5k or nothing at all. While major earners are the producers, directors, name actors involved, and some important crew members.

      Don't be deceived. Bollywood is actually growing!

    wow!...Omoni for president!! that her reply was EPIC. I remember the day she came to Ibadan for her movie, wives on strike @ the filmhouse cinemas....she is such a down to earth somebody.
