The divorce papers were filed in March but just became official today...
Toke lists a couple of reasons why the court should grant her a divorce from Maje based on “adultery”, “cruelty” and “irreconcilable differences”.
In the court documents, Toke alleged that
- She had to leave their matrimonial home in November 2015 after she could no longer tolerate the continuous adulterous acts between Maje and Anita despite promises from Maje to stop.
- She alleged that Maje had some of his affairs in their matrimonial home while she was away at work.
- She alleged that Maje made claims of not having money to take care of her or pay the bills in the house but was able to finance the birth of his child from Anita. She stated that Maje did not pay the rent on two occasions and as a result the landlord came to embarrass her.
- She alleges that she lost a huge endorsement opportunity worth 20 million naira with a telecoms company because of the negativity that followed the 2015 scandal.
- She alleges that she was treated with disdain and was never consulted for any business dealings whereas Maje was consulting with Anita.
- She alleges that any slight complaint from her resulted in nagging and verbal abuse and the use of vulgar words even in front of their domestic staff.
- She alleges that Maje has repeatedly sent text messages to Anita Solomon inviting her to live with him.

I tell you some men dey craze. Chai! I am pained on her behalf. I remember when she got married to him, I was disappointed based on stories I had heard about him and feeling she deserved so much more. So it wasn't a surprise when the shit hit the fan and things went down hill. I admire her strength and independence. I admire her ability to bounce back and move on and focus on her career, while looking good in the process (I don't think she gained an ounce of fat from emotional eating, I usually fall apart after heartbreak). Maje, it is not a crime to fall in love or even to have a baby, but it is a crime to deceive someone who you know genuinely loves you, use the person and take that person for granted and break that person's heart. For that I hope Karma comes visiting you soonest. Toke, I atimes feel you do too much, but it's better by far than being idle. Try to regulate what you post out there concerning your personal life so it doesn't come back to bite your ass. I hope Toke finds true love and a lovely man who will put a genuine smile on her face. I would only divorce my husband on grounds of domestic violence but not infidelity why because I won't let any woman be the reason for leaving my home even when the bible says we can divorce on grounds of infidelity.
Why are ladies of today jumping to divorce as if the next person they will date or marry will be a saint forever.
Forgiving people who wrong you doesn't make you a fool,it shows u have a beautiful heart.

DeleteIt's amazing how they dated for so long successfully without any baby mama ish, but soon as they became official, baby mama came aboard. Meaning, he married Toke under duress and would have tagged her along if she also had a baby. This dude was willing to keep both women even if Toke didn't opt out. From this report it shows that he never hid his relationship with the other woman from Toke. Toke thought she'd be history once they got married, but alas.
He needed her fame and perhaps little money. Suffice it to say that Maje bowed to pressure from Toke. Which played out when he refused to appear for their wedding the first time. I wonder why she married him the second time.
Did anyone notice that during their wedding, neither Toke or Maje was particularly excited about it? The whole thing was in hush hush. While the public accused her of being stingy and broke not to throw a lavish wedding, she knew quite well that she had to force him, so there was no excitement to plan for any elaborate wedding.
No one should blame the baby mama. This is one triangle that is too tough to blame anyone. Maje must have loved Toke at some point to have dated her for that long.. and he must love his baby mama to allow her be the reason his marriage with Toke is over. But in all, I think he loves his baby mama more and wanted Toke to do the dumping out of respect for her. This divorce is what maje has been waiting for.
Imagine, He sends money to baby mama in the UK while his rent is unpaid? That says a lot. He should just go and marry the babe so that he can have peace.

She lived the fairy tale of being married b4 30. She did all for Maje to wed her. ReplyDeleteSometimes, the wife isnt totally right just because she is a wife. She is only right as of law. They wronged Toke by their acts and all but the genesis of this story, Toke had a lot of issues.
She made wrong choices. She was the side chick in this relationship but she loved Maje so much and allowed her emotions get the better of her. The Anita girl found herself defenceless to the plots of Toke. Cos Toke is actually more exposed and smarter than her. But what did Warri guys say about Okpolo eye not being open eye. Lol. The inevitable still happened.
Maje is a weak man who clearly had no control over his decisions or maybe Toke had something on him or is the crying bugging boyfriend. Cos all these years, he didnt get married to her and even stood her up several times.
Maje also didnt sound like he wanted to get back with Toke in his apology. He was sorry he hurt her but well..,
But the moment Toke saw him at a wedding, she jumped to spread pics and insinuations that they were back together till it became clear it wasnt happening. Clearly, she cares more for appearances than reality.
A mixture of love, possessiveness, over-persistence and superficial life killed Toke in this.
The man made his choice but albeit too late. A man that doesnt love you will never love you. Toke had her advantages; hardworking, pretty and a trophy wife but in the end, he didnt love her.
She's lucky it happened early. She should pick herself up and move on. Sometimes, when a man acts like he leaves you to pursue your career and he do as you please, there's a huge chance he really doesnt care

My reason for finding him weak is cos he agreed to the whole marriage plot.
But on a second thought, I reasoned that a man so resolute in his 'mistakes' just may not be that weak. Maybe Toke had much on him or is the overbearing kind. Mehn, anyone can fall to pressure and with 'faith', till eyes open.
Anyways, I actually wish her the best. She alleges that the woman now lives in their matrimonial home and its a shame. We all make mistakes.
