This my Jesus sef
Three Gbosa!!! for the man in history wey Sabi, one who broke all the rules and opposed the reigning culture of violence with his inner peace and love of his enemies. E no easy.
Yesoooo, wanna talk about my radical Jesus, a determined and compassionate revolutionary
Sometimes when I hear some people talk about Jesus as if they know him like I do. I just shake my head, because I know that they know not what I know. Yes.
I have a few things in common with this man from Nazareth, you can safely say that I am intrigued by Jesus. Why?
Believe me, it has nothing to do with being born again. So don't get it twisted.
Jesus was real, authentic, and ever relevant, just like me damn it. He spoke with honesty. He was a man on a mission. He was a radical, a revolutionary, yet tender and kind and loving, like me a gangster. He was doing things completely against the rules of the day. He was a troublemaker for the religious elite, the rulers, the war-making empire, and the establishment.
Who else can command us to love our enemies, isn't that a daring proposal that has radical implications? Sadly enough, we have not lived by this ethic.
Let me say this, I don't trust most pastors, I don't trust most Christians, I not too sure about religion, I don't even trust the new wave churches. But I trust the guy Jesus. It is my contention that Jesus did not die for us (contrary to the Catholic church) but, instead he lived for us for he was indeed a determined revolutionary and an evolutionary forerunner for a state of love and soul consciousness which is also deepest within each one of us, no matter the gragra.
In my research on my guy Jesus, I found out that as a young boy he sensed his destiny and traveled elsewhere in a quest to not only find himself but to get in sync with his destiny.
There is proof of the existence of manuscripts in India and Tibet that support the belief that Jesus was in India during that time in his life, between the age of about 12 to 30. Some assert that Jesus lived the life of a Buddhist and taught Buddhist ideals to his disciples.
So l am saying that Jesus, like many of us, was originally looking outside for God and the true meaning in his life and towards the end of those 18 years realized that what he was externally looking for was instead deepest within him. Love, a state of soul consciousness and a kingdom of heaven so deep that it exists beyond time and space and was calling him to service.
Everywhere that Jesus went after his 18yrs sabbatical, the decadent Roman people were threatened by his teachings and revelled against his message of love, inner freedom and individual power. Today, Jesus would be considered not only a rebel, if not a terrorist and most certainly a threat to the establishment and status quo, as he most certainly was 2000 years ago.
Jesus represents the transition from an externalized old testament God of wrath and judgment to an internalized new testament god of love and a state of soul consciousness. Twale!! for my Jesus.

DeleteOsina Catholic Church mere ya gini?
ReplyDeleteWell, it's not going anywhere.
Christ died for us, according to the bible, not the Catholic Church, nwokem. You've probably never read one.
He died, that we may live.
He shed his blood, for our salvation. And he lives, to keep being our salvation.
Having said that, keep being intrigued.

ReplyDeleteIovely message though.
This is a lie lie testimony of Jesus Christ from the pit of hell! Jesus never went to India! Jesus Christ is God! So please do not ever equate Buddhism mystical art to Jesus!
ReplyDeleteI agree with u, na only you know this Jesus wey u dey talk about. Because Jesus Christ of Nazareth that gave his life so that we might be saved (which by the way is very much in the scriptures, which was not written by the Catholic church) knew his purpose even before he was conceived. You need to read the word a lot more to understand what Jesus stands for. You still far for the matter.
ReplyDeleteGboza...Gbozaa...Gbozaaaa.... Bros J. na correct guy( In ma Pastors voice)
ReplyDeleteI LOVE YOU LORD.
ReplyDeleteI am not sure if anyone is reading this anymore. I wish I had posted earlier but for whatever good it may do I have to write it. Usually I don't pay serious attention to many write-ups, after all they are opinions subject to bias and everyone is entitled to one. But this article above? Really offensive. I wish I could write him a personal rebuttal but I wonder what good will that do. A man set in his own ways will not budge from his foolish stand point simply because he is convinced he is right. But to deceive people who might believe Christ into believing this version of his 'gbosa-worthy/needing Jesus' is an eternal mistake that should not be allowed to continue because people's lives is at stake.
ReplyDeleteJesus lived a sinless life worthy of praise but it is his death that is the crux of Christianity and our relationship with God! Without his death on the cross, we have no hope. His death is one of the basic tenets of our faith. To deny it or make it less relevant than his life makes whatever is being written a subtle but dangerous deviation from the Truth and half-truths, no matter how nice and close to the truth it sounds, is not the truth and is very dangerous as it deceives you into thinking gyou have the real thing when you don't! Please everyone, be warned and don't fall for this.
Jesus Christ did not go to India or Tibet or learn their wisdom because he did not need to. He is GOD himself. Remember, Charles? He was NOT 'searching for God and suddenly after his journeys to wherever, discover GOD in the deepest parts of himself'. Real hogwash right there! He was both man and God while here on earth. While I do not claim full understanding of how that was, I believe it 100%. So Sir Charlyboy, do your research well but in that research focus on the Bible from cover to cover.
As for you equating yourself to Jesus' status as someone who shares your personal qualities.... I will not comment except to say that the Jesus I know and the one whose person-hood is shown in the Bible is your creator, the One you should worship, the One you should bow to and not throw 'gbosa' to like a student government president!
To everyone else reading, please research for yourself! God is quite within reach and the Bible is not hard to understand if you read with an open mind. Don't look at the church and complain that they are too materialistic or whatever. God never asked you to look at his church as your example. Go to Him directly! Ask Him to reveal Himself to you. Believe me, He will! Then you will have no excuse when you meet Him face to face.
