    6. If this their fight was sincere, believe me when I say they would have taken it to TY Danjuma's mansion, they would have gone to Indimi, Atoka and all other non Nigeria Deltans who have oil blocs in the region.
This is a better way of making their point really felt than this stupidity of destroying their own land and creating a serious health challenge for those who live in that environment in the next few years.
This kinda stupidity and masked militancy could only have been sponsored by one mugu wey just get up from where e siddon.
These people do not have sense.
If their fight was truly sincere, they will stop the extraction of crude from oil blocs belonging to these people who do not deserve it but are feeding fat off the land.

    1. If Niger Deltans cannot see the benefits of the oil being drilled in their backyard, then I don't see why anybody else should. The lame argument that GEJ was there for years and didn't do anything for them is the lamest if heard and reeks of wickedly selfish bias. Go anywhere in the world - Tokyo, Newyork, London, Hong Kong etc, the areas that produce the most wealth are the most developed.

      Delete
    2. I know there is more to this story than meets the eye... Why is it that development has refused to embrace the people of Niger Delta? Are there a group of people who will lose out if it happens? Something is not right i tell you.

    3. What lamest and reeks of selfish thing are u talking abt. Ur own brother from bayelsa state was president for 5 years and ur are is still underdeveloped? Does that make sense to u. Nobody can look after u but urself. So let's say the northerners treated us badly, wen a southern brother was dere what was he supposed to do? Pls Jonathan is a disappointment to d Niger delta. Dey wait for Hausa man to come develop ur land.

    4. Anonymous 17.13 so who stopped them from developing their place? The huge allocations, the 13% oil derivation the governors get before the government receives the rest, the NDDC, the Niger Delta ministry? What are all those billions of dollars used for?

With the same mouth you'll go and be celebrating ibori, Alamieyeseigha, diezeani and co and come and complain that there's no justice in the ND. When you're ready to question these people, maybe, JUST MAYBE you guys will start having the development you deserve.

The Ogoniland clean up is a good start, better talk to your Niger Delta Avengers not to worsen a bad situation

      Delete
    5. Anon 17.13 how does it reek of selfish bias? If Tokyo, new York, London, Hong Kong etc. Produce the most wealth and are the most developed why didn't jonathan ensure that that applies here?

You last statement is false. I lived in Aberdeen (the oil capital of Europe) for years and it's one of the reasons the Scots don't like the English.

    8. Lol. Another group that will emerge are the shiites.

As their imam, el zakzaky was maimed, their members brutally murdered by the military. About 600 innocent women and children and toddlers and their mosque burnt. Its a matter of time before they reappear.

Nigeria, we keep making same mistakes all the time and it keeps giving same effect yet no one learns. Same blood shed brought about militancy. Same blood shed sustains this Biafra plight. Blood shed awakened Boko Haram. Shiites too will emerge. The tactless way Nigerian government handles issues got us where we are now. Had Gowon handled the Biafra thing well and nipped it at the bud with diplomacy and love a leader should have for all sections of the country, there would have been no war and all the loss it cost Nigeria.
Had Abacha handled Ogoni land well instead of needless executions; had Obasanjo handled the Niger Deltans well, militancy wouldnt have been born. Had Buruntai and Buhari been just a bit more reasonable with these shiites, it would have been easier.

You cant do same thing in same way for same scenarios and expect different results.

A country as big and strong with loads of talents and opportunities as Naija , a group of people will just stand up without prior attempt to have talk with govt and start trouble . This can happen in Nigeria , due corruption, not even in small Benin republic here . Or they should try all this nonsense with Mugabe. Amnesty international will just shout and scream for nothing .

The Fulani herdsmen were equipped by Buari before he became President. He wanted to use them to disrupt the nation if he didn't win. Let them focus on Fulani Herdsmen, those ones are more accessible to villages around Nigeria.

Fulani herdsmen are killing people and ravaging farms. Can you Imagine?

  23. Stella please let them be o, they doing all these stuff cause 90% of the oil wells belongs to the northerners, and the source is from their place, they suffer much cause when their is oil spillage their water get bad, no water to drink and even their fishes, and sometimes house. So there is this bill that I s saying that 15% of the oil money which is 45 billion a month which am not mistaking should go to the Niger deltans to be able to make the city fine, since the oil producing state are not looking good,. But the fact that the north are much, they refuse the bill. So allow them Stella, Abeg they should bomb well o. No time. Cause buhari is forming stubbornness. He never see anything

Oya you westners and northerners that have a developed land and tranquility should leave us Niger deltans to our land and oil. Idiots, it's our land but you depend on it to feed. Let's divide and let's see who will suffer most. You are here advocating for your bellas and posing like you really care for the us. GEJ didn't do anything...and so?... but your old things and feeding off us and since we decided to react now, you are crying foul. Auntie stella let the 'Nigeria military ' fight their fight with boko haram biko....not the avengers, cause it's their business not ours. I pray this country divide already. Please don't swallow my comment

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Lol and in your mind if the country divides, the Niger Delta will become better? Or suddenly become like Hong Kong? With the high level of illiteracy and corruption you think the people of the Niger Delta can self sufficiently manage the resources? Your leaders are to blame. collecting bribes from Shell and co instead of demanding community development as is the norm anywhere multinational companies go. These companies are required to develop those areas in conjunction with the government but instead from the village all the way to the government house, leaders are being settled behind the scenes for a fraction of the cost.

Militants were supposedly fighting this same cause a few years ago. Yaradua/Jonathan came into power and signed the amnesty bill. Instead of your leaders to do something with it, through it glorified illiterates like Tompolo and Ayiri became billionaires overnight and began squandering money and none of it trickled down to the common Niger Delta man.

Diezani that was petroleum minister is from the ND and she bled the country dry without putting anything in place in that region. Even fixing the Warri refinery to 100% production capacity would have made a huge difference. She could have held Shell accountable and put environmental remediation in place to begin clean up and development of the ND. She did absolutely nothing.

Look at the BP oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. 6 years later and everyone involved is still paying dearly. BP has been fined hundreds of million aside from being responsible for clean up costs. Mind you this spill was in the middle of the ocean and not even in community areas.

Nigerians are inherently corrupt so as one nation or divided, we are our own worst enemies.

      Delete
  25. The problem with all these is that the dividend of oil is mostly hijacked by a particular tribe and a few individuals within the tribe also hijacks it to the detriment of their fellow tribesmen. The two major producers of oil down south did not benefit optimally from the amnesty programs. A particular one hijacked most of the opportunities for studies , skill acquisitions, empowerment etc to the detriment of others . We shouldn't wash our dirty linen in public but way forward we should set aside our selfish interest ,ego , sentiment and reason, fight to reap the dividends of our resources as a team .

  26. Who is spilling oil now and polluting their land by blowing up pipelines. They will destroy their and make it completely inhabitable. At the end of the day they will suffer not being able to live on their land. What a pity.
