Congratulations to Hillary Clinton!
The former Secretary of State has officially become the presumptive democratic nominee for president after nabbing the required number of delegates during the June 7 primaries!
Less than 100 years after women gained the constitutional right to vote in the United States, Hillary Clinton, 68, has become the first female presumptive nominee for president. After achieving major victories in the six June 7 primaries, Hillary is now considered the likely nominee for the democratic party.
Hillary gave a stunning speech at the Brooklyn Navy Yard on June 7, while she was still in the middle of finding out which states she had won on primary night. But she was confident enough, after taking the majority of the delegates, to declare that she had become the presumptive nominee; she spoke passionately to the crowd about her broken glass ceiling, and the debt she owes to the suffragettes who came before her for her political success.
“Thanks to you, we’ve reached a milestone. For the first time in the nation’s history that a woman will be a major party’s nominee,” Hillary told the cheering crowd. “It started right here in New York, in a place called Seneca Falls, when a small but determined group of women and men came together to fight for the rights of women.” It was an incredibly emotional moment, as the gravity of her nomination sunk in. Hillary is the first woman to get a major party nomination in the United States, just 96 years after dedicated suffragettes helped ratify the 19th amendment of the Constitution.
Apologies to Bernie Sanders, 74. The Vermont senator has put up a valiant fight, and started a political movement, but Hillary has acquired the presumptive nomination. Mathematically, Hillary is the democratic nominee for president, having gained far more than the 2383 delegates necessary to win.
Take note that this does not mean Hillary has the nomination just yet, but she may as well!
The former senator and secretary of state needs to be officially nominated at the Democratic National Convention in July. Additionally, her hundreds of super delegates have to cast their votes and officially align with her. After that, it’s over and done!!!

I wish her best of luck, I want her to win

ReplyDeleteTrump can never and will never win the general election, Trump lack basic knowledge and Hillary is the most qualified. Foreign countries that are super powers abhors Trump presidency cos they can't even deal with him. His rhetoric is reprehensible and he flip flops on key issues.Brace up Nigerian women that goes to birth their babies in US for american citizenship, Trump says he's gonna cancel citizenship by birth once he becomes President, so no more american passports for non US citizen children given birth to anymore
ReplyDeleteHilary is the bump

ReplyDeleteHahahahaha, congrats to hilary, but she aint winning the presidential elections, americans aint gonna vote for her,the hard core americans are gonna vote trump.
ReplyDeleteTrump actually cares about the american people, that's why the american people really support him and he is not a pure breed politician whose strings can be pulled, hilary on the other hand,is deadly manipulative and deeply embedded in all the recent horrors that have been ochestrated by the U.S.A in recent times.
ReplyDeleteFab mum, see how you just displayed your sheer ignorance. Kaiii
