Governor Fayose’s Bank Account FROZEN

Hmmmm this is serious!!!

Sources at Nigeria's premier anti-corruption agency, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have revealed that a personal account at the Zenith Bank of Nigeria of Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, was frozen in
connection with over N1.2billion he took in 2014 from the disgraced National Security Adviser (NSA), Sambo Dasuki, to prosecute his re-election as governor.
Several of the operatives said the action came at the end of agency’s year-long investigation into the matter.

SR sources claim Mr. Fayose received huge sums of money from the office of the NSA that was meant for arms procurement, with which he meticulously bribed security officials and voters to get into the Ekiti governorship for the second time.

At least three security agencies which investigated the fraud found that the governor stole monies meant for national security, and deposited them into his personal account. N500m was traced to the now-frozen Zenith Bank account.
The Nigerian Army referred some of the officers who took a bribe from Mr. Fayose to the EFCC after some of them were compulsorily retired from service.

It would be recalled that in 2014, SaharaReporters obtained an audio tape in which Mr. Fayose, the then Minister of State for Defence, Musiliu Obanikoro; Minister for Police Affairs, Jelili Adesiyan, and Osun State Senator, Iyiola Omisore, connived with army officers to harass and arrest members of the opposition party in order to facilitate Mr. Fayose's re-election.

While Mr. Obanikoro at first attempted to deny the authenticity of that tape, which had been discreetly made by Captain Sagir Koli, a patriotic army captain, Mr. Adesiyan confirmed it to be genuine.

After his election, Mr. Fayose deposited the monies into his personal account and that of his Spotless Hotel in Ekiti, venue of the infamous rigging meeting.

The EFCC said it is sure to prosecute those involved in the fraud in the coming days.

  1. Nigeria politics is so vindictive, why not come with a clean slate for all since we want to fight corruption. I have already lost faith in this goverment, hope they prove me wrong.

    1. It's only this government that is vindictive!...

  2. The man has immunity, so they cannot arrest him until after office. But na wa oh. No wonder he was saying that they want to impeach him, just yesterday. This is getting serious.

  4. Fayose might get a way with it coz of immunity

But on a serious note, what business is he into that will yield that huge amount in one of his private accounts?

  5. This is pure tyranny.
This man has immunity and pmb shouldnt allow his level of reasoning to jeopardize the democracy we have.
Fayose disnt make this law and as such pmb should respect the law.
In the wrote up, it said he collected money to prosecute his election and then now it says he deposited the money after his election, so how is it that its money he used to win that he deposited abi he collected it back after spending it?
Let them wait till 2018 when he leaves power, then they can prosecute him. They should gather their evidence now.
Pls no one should type thrash under my comment. I am entitled to my opinion. If you dont agree, type urs lets read. But all i have written is the fact. This is a democracy and we have laws that must be respected.
Rather this govt should go after all these directors and perm secs as they are the biggest and most corrupt sets of individuals in this country. All the mansions in maitama, asokoro and wuse2 are majorly for these guys. And my favorite quote: "you know i dont sign cheques". But so also does dasuki, dieziani, fayose, etc do not aign cheques na.

Food for thought: if all the money they claim was used to win all elections by the pdp is dasukigate, where is the over 21bn raised by GEJ alone? Minus the other several billions raised by pdp?

    1. Exactly. Pure tyranny.. Misuse of power.. And people will still come and defend this said act and label it fight against corruption. You can fight corruption but do it at the appropriate time. He won't be governor forever. Once he leaves office you can then send your dogs after him. Not when he is under immunity..

The president chosen the law to follow and that which not to follow. Not following court orders, doing what pleases him that is outside the Constitution and all..

Take us back to military regime already or respect the rule of law

    2. Your defense is baseless, all dubious transactions under the former NSA is under investigation, such funds are being frozen pending conclusion.

No one is persecuting him yet, he owes Nigerians an explanation on how his private account got credited by the office of the NSA.

NSA office has nothing to do with PDP campaign fund.

A state governor trying to commit treason or a terror act will definitely not be covered by immunity. The state comes before him.

FFK, Metuh, Fayose and Co money emanated from Office of the NSA, why? What happened to PDP secretariat?
