APPRECIATION

Dear SDK boss,

I want to thank a coconut oil vendor 
that advertised on your blog. I promised 
her I will give her good feed back if her product stays true.

I called her to enquire about the coconut oil and
 she said she was in PH but that she can send it.
 I said I will call her when next I am in PH

Unfortunately,  I saw it late , I think a day or 2 after so I decided to  send in this mail. Hopefully, she will get to read it  and other mothers can gain some knowledge too. I do not know where this fits in but I'm sure you'll  use tour discretion. On to the matter.  Please, dear poster, do not  overlook the symptoms you discovered and put  it down to ' jus t the way children of nowadays  grow', there could be more to it. I am talking from a medical point of view now.  Your child needs to see, not a gynaecologist  but a paediatric endocrinologist. Yes, it could  be precocious puberty of unknown origins but  precocious puberty could also be caused by  other issues  including but not limited to growth  on the pituitary glands causing an increase in  estrogen. Even if it is 'normal' precocious puberty, it is  too early for a 6 year old. General practitioners  would gloss over it and tell you not to worry  but if you see a specialist,  there are tests which  could confirm that and treatments which could  be given to normalize the hormones especially  for such a young child.  Leaving it untreated means that  most likely ,  the spurt of growth the child would have had  during puberty will happen now ( in childhood)  making that child seem tall now but she will  eventually become shorter than her mates  by the time those ones begin to experience  their during the normal teenage age Your doctor will give you an in depth explanation  of this and give you the options available for  diagnosis and treatment after physical examination  taking height, weight, breast , underarms etc.  Xrays, scans and blood test will also be done to  establish the real cause of the hormonal imbalance.  Please do not just let it go until the specialist  says it is okay to. Follow through till you find  out what exactly the matter is. Please check the teaching hospitals for paediatric endocrinologist! God bless the little one!! I HOPE SHE SEES THIS AND TAKE TO THIS  WARNING...And i hope others who have  kids like this will also heed to it. .....................................................................................................
