Nigeria will start a dialogue with the Niger Delta Avengers militant group which has been claiming a string of attacks, its oil minister said.
President Muhammadu Buhari has appointed a team “to begin the process of a very intensive dialogue with those caught in the middle of this,” Emmanuel Ibe Kachikwu said late on Monday.
He also said the country’s oil output was between 1.5 million and 1.6 million barrels a day.

Much better. They had better absolve to what is best for everyone. No time to play superiority games at the expense of the citizenry.

DeleteBubu don change mind?? Nawaoo this change is change.
ReplyDeleteThe government should dialogue instead of sending the Army to them . I said this before that dialogue is the best.
ReplyDeleteThe problem I have with this country is the way they abuse the duties of the army. In other climes the army is always the last resort. They are the wind beneath the country's security and should be reserved as a defence for intruders, not to intimidate the citizens within.
DeleteIt is only in Nigeria that you'll see military men with their full armour guarding a petrol station or controlling traffic. They have reduced them to nothing. Outside Nigeria, when u come across a military man you are awed because it is an unusual privilege, u don't see them loitering around. Seeing them means there's "trouble". When you are abroad and u see a military man, you feel safe.. unlike Nigeria where fear will grip you because they are either slapping or frog jumping someone.
The federal government should restore the prestige and glory of our military men. Allow them stay in their barracks and use them only when it is absolutely necessary.
The strong man has succumbed! He knows that the Niger delta of Obasanjo era is different from the one we have today. Oil blocks must be reallocated. Hausas and Yorubas have cheated us enough!
