ReplyDeleteThe West should copy the idea of students sweeping their own classrooms. What a difference that would make in teaching humility and hard work while reducing a nasty sense of entitlement amongst young people.
ReplyDeleteWe had no1 in my secondary school here in Nigeria. It's no biggie. Tho there were a few cleaners, we were in charge of cleaning our classrooms, sweeping and allz. We even had a roster for it. On Fridays, we had labour whr we wud do division of labour and clean the entire school. Thinking about it now, those cleaners weren't really doing much.
