OMG!

SKIN INFECTION
Hello Stella, I'm a regular visitor on your blog and I must say you are doing a nice job.. Please, I'd be very brief. Sometime in 2012 I started having skin irritation that comes with rashes all over my body I've been to dermatologist, hospitals and they just prescribe drugs and run some random test which all comes out negative.

I dare not sweat, if not it would itch so bad, but the recent breakout is what prompted me to send you this mail so blog doctors can help.. Attached is a picture of the infected skin

JESUS CHRIST!

    2. Looks spiritual, a friend suffered something like this, she prayed and fasted before it left. Apparently a man of God told her it was an affliction from her nasty ex she broke up with.

    1. This is from ur digestive system oga. No drug can remove it. Ur system is dirty and when it's dirty, u get the effect on ur skin. it needs to be cleansed. When u cleanse it, you will still get the effect on ur skin. This is nt skin irritation, u shud do a system cleansing. Take all them herbal and cleansing things and teas to cleanse ur system and with time ur skin will clear out. (talking out of experience). Only pple with ur kind of body system can relate. It doesn't happen to everyone. Detox ur system.

    3. I am thinking along your line lopezbarbie. Sir are you using creams with steroids? Prolonged usage could be devastating. Also, you may be allergic to something you are constantly using or exposed to. It could be your cosmetics like your soap, drugs or food or something in your environment, you need to be very observant. Also do you use sponge to bathe? This irritates some people and causes them to itch. Look for products like soaps or creams that are soothing and contain soothing ingredients like oats or aloevera and not harsh chemicals. Overall if you are a Christian, be prayerful as nothing is too hard for God. Take charge and command the situation to leave you alone by the name of Jesus. Plead the Blood of Jesus. Speedy healing to you (have faith).

  20. Doctors in the house please help me. I have a recurrent yeast infection. I have been on itraconazole and Loratdine for 10days, and after like 2 weeks it comes back. I start the dose again, I was also given Dezel kit which I used too. I'm tired of going to the hospital, don't even have enough money again. I have changed my undies, towels and everything. I saw that garlic could cure it but I'm scared of inserting garlic cos I heard its gives a burning sensation. Please is there anything else I can use. I'm 27 years old and this is the 4th time this year. I'm not sexually active too. The last episode was so bad cos I was on my period too. Please I need a long last solution. Please reply under comment . Thank you

    3. Get 4 pcs of garlic, peel them and insert them in the middle of your swallow and take it in,do it every month,it will even help your immune system too

    4. Use garlic, it works a lot. Just cut it in half and put in it. The stinging sensation is just seconds but u will be fine afterwards

    5. Buy cotimoxazole vaginal insert and insert 1 every night after bathing. U can also apply canesten cream externally. Reduce ur intake of sugar and sweets and wash ur undies with very hot water if u can't change them. Avoid antibiotics, and if u have unprotected sex, try to avoid it.

    7. Babe, I think you are being constantly exposed to the infection, so when you get treated you contract it again. You need to be observant to find the source of reinfection so as to avoid it. If you have a boyfriend you are sleeping with, he also has to be treated alongside you or he could reinfect you.

      Delete
    8. You being reinfected. You and your partner should treat at the same time.

Use fluvonazole 200mg once then 50mg daily for 3days. He should also.
Also add antibiotics like Augumentin 625mg twice a day or cheaper option use amoxil 500mg three times daily plus tetracycline 500 mg three times daily for 10 days.
      Incase it's not just yeast.

The IDEAL would be to get a high vaginal swab at any good lab and test for the exact organism causing it and what drugs will work (HVS MCS)

      All the best

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Yes, using strong soaps on your vagina and antiseptics can leave you vulnerable. Also taking very strong antibiotics frequently can lead to reinfection, because it kills all the good bacteria in your vagina, leaving you susceptible to yeast infection.

  23. I remember having something like this but this was after I had an accident. I reacted terribly to d drugs I was given and which I started having this same rash. I went to a different hospital and did lots of tests. It was then discovered that my leg had been infected and because they weren't treating it, it had affected about 40% of my blood. That's what brought about the rashes and it itches like crazy. They had to flush my blood anyway, the part where d rashes appeared on my body, became the smoothest part of my body now

  26. Dear poster,I suffer from this same condition and it affects my thighs, back and upper armpit ie places I sweat. And it's been on going for years. It's mild sometimes and other times the flares are traumatic. I have the same spots on the affected parts of my body. It has nothing to do with cleanliness as I am clean to a fault that I sometimes believe I have OCD. A consultant in Ubth called it atopic dermatitis. It doesn't have a cure but can be managed. Said some pple are born with it while it is hereditary for others.said all regular n antiseptic soaps will not work as they have PH above 5. She then recommended sebamed face and body wash as soap n sebamed lotion as cream and asked me to stop using sponges as they aggravate it. These products are manufactured in Germany and have a ph of 5.and are sometimes difficult to get but they have worked and still working for me. But I have flares sometimes. At such times I use piriton tabs to avoid itching.if u need my contact, reply this msg.

  32. Atopic dermatitis it is. Triamcinolone acetone cream for 6 to 8 weeks,2ice or 3 times a day after shower, then taper down to once a day.once it's healed do not use daily since it's a very strong topical steroid and could think the epidermis. For the scars and scaled get am exfoliating clarifying soap or body wash. After you reduce the Triamcinolone usage, use a light oil as lotion, don't use cream. Wear cotton shirts that are light. YOU'RE HEALED IN JESUS NAME. Feel free to write a memo to Stella if you need more Rx advice. I will respond. Bless you

  33. My dear poster, you are not alone on this. I suffered this same thing 2 years back. It was severe and appeared all over my body except for my back. I tried several things but it didn't work. I did HIV test and it was negative.I finally met a dermatologist who told me i had Atopic eczema after listening to my symptoms then which you just described. It has no cure but can be managed. He advised me to read about it on the internet to know what triggers it.

It is an allergy to something you are currently using but have not been able to identify.Ppossibly, soap, cream, stress and certain foods. It demands changing your lifestyle pattern.

He prescribed loratyn drug to reduce the itching, advantan cream(to be applied morning and evening to affected places. Also, i was advised to stop bathing with antiseptic, medicated and perfumed soaps. There is a soap called, "simple soap", that i was asked to be bathing with or dove soap (which i still use to date). I was asked to be using emollients as my body cream. Also, i shouldn't spray perfume on my clothes while wearing them. Instead, if i must wear perfume, i should spray on the clothes hours before wearing and hang to dry before putting it on. I was asked to stop eating certain foods like; goat meat, fish and any nuts. Rinse your soapy clothes as many times as possible until the detergent wears off as detergents is a trigger.

    Try also to:

    • shower every other day
    • keep your bathing time to between five and 10 minutes
    • avoid hot and cold showers
    • avoid scrubbing dry skin patches
    • use an emollient as cream immediately after showering
    • drink plenty of water

Funny enough, after trying all these, i recovered though it took a while. I was given injection as well but unfortunately i can't remember the name. Wish you the best. Anytime you feel the itch after sweating, just dab the affected places with lukewarm water and you will be relieved. I hope this helps.

  34. I used hydrocortisone. And also changed my environment.
We thought it was a food or soap. After several test, my mum figured out it was because of my environment. Whenever I stay in a choked / crowded room, I react immediately.
Immediately we relocated, all the rashes went off.

  36. Dear poster, had similar experience sometime back. Mine was so severe I itch in the morning and late at night, tried different sort of antifungal creams they were not working, even tried the prednisolone when I finished taking the drug the itching came back, went to the ikoyi dermatologist what he gave me did not work. What I later used that worked for me was Eurax cream it gives that temporal relief from the itching works like magic, then I bought Ivermectin drug. Dosage works according to your body weight and it's a single dose of 5 to 6 tab per week. Although it's scarce most pharmacy don't usually have. This was the drug that gave me lasting solution to the itching I have, and it never came back. Try it

  37. When i was in school, i had something like this. Nothing i did seemed to work. I went to all doctors and dermatologists until one woman that visited my mother told her what to do. you need to go to those yoruba ladies selling roots and herbs in the market and show them. I cant remember the market cos it was a long time ago but its in lagos. They will know what it is and give you roots to drink and use to take a bath. It worked like a miracle. YOU REALLY HAVE TO GET DOWN TO BASICS ON THESE ISSUES.

  38. I once had skin infection which am sure was worst than this. During that period, I wear only sleeveless cloth and I itch my body with any object I see, it was so bad and uncontrollable. I just thank God for the good health.
Dear BV, one of the things that might have caused this is that you are reacting to something. Maybe you started eating something you don't eat people or you are swimming in an undecent place etc. Try and think harder what you just change recently.
It's really nice going to see a Dermatologist, but their schedule and the time of appointment they will give you may not be soon.
Firstly go for test (blood test, skin micro-filaria test and also hiv test)
Try and avoid staying in a place where there is heat and also avoid walking in the sun.
Buy hydrocortisone cream and original funbat A and apply in the morning and evening.
Soak all your boxers with dettol or any antiseptic  and change the ones you need to.
Try and control yourself and don't itch your body to much.
There is also this herbal thing they call Adin(dont know what it's called in English) it is also very effective.
Try all these and lets see as it goes.
    Wishing you quick recovery
    From your fellow BV.
