Buhari May Extend 10-day Trip, To Also Treat ‘Terrible Cough''

President Muhammadu Buhari might extend his 10-day trip to London, where he had gone to treat an ear infection.

Sahara Reporters, Monday night, said Buhari needs to undergo treatment for “a terrible cough that has persisted longer than the ear infection.”
No reaction from the presidency on the latest report yet.

Buhari’s media adviser, Femi Adesina had downplayed his principal’s trip.
He said, “The buzz going round the town is that the President is ill, but ‘ill’ will be a misnomer, it should not be the right word to use.
“The President is going for a 10-day rest and during that period he will see specialists who will look at his ear because he has been treating that ear locally for some time.
“Nigerian physicians have looked at it and now they have said ‘you are going to UK, when you get there, let specialists look at the ear.’

“They have treated it locally so it is not a question of whether the President is ill. If he is ill, it presupposes that there are certain things that he cannot do.

“But till the very last minute that he is travelling, the President performed the duties and functions of his office as the President. So illness is not the issue.”

This is the man that banned all government officials from going abroad for treatment right?? Because of forex??
Same person who allocated billions of naira to aso rock which covers the clinic there??

OK.. Get well soon Mr president. You need all the rest you can get. The truth is you are old and not strong enough but you just had to rule. The country on its own takes a toll on young healthy people talk more of old men. See how Jonathan aged when he was in power and see how young he looks now..

  8. The worse form of deceit is self deceit. I'm not an APC fan neither am I a PDP apologist but for the fact that I live and work in Nigeria, I cannot wish the government in power failure, however if the APC cheerleaders decide to call anyone speaking the truth 'wailers', then it's fine but burying your head in the sand like an ostrich while the rest of your body is out shows that there is no hope for us yet.

  25. Buhari probably has one low-key illness we all don't know. Because I cannot see why some one that kicked against seeking medical help abroad will gladly travel for a very trivial stuff like cough n ear infection, something that can be treated here in nigeria.

Well let those other people he banned from seeking medical help abroad change their own to rest too but decide to do check up while they're resting. Yimu!

    1. The problem with Nigerians is that we love to distort facts to suit our propaganda. There was never a time the president said that government officials cannot seek medical attention abroad. What he stated was that it would not be on the account of the country. Meaning, seek medical attention abroad if u like, but you will pay for it. Haba!!!

  41. I said this b4, maybe early last month.
About him having a "bad feet" in ruling Nigeria; about him being sick. That we should pray against loosing another seating leader.

Well, with his age, those ENT probs, upper respiratory issues maybe prevalent and recurring. My fear is that the alleged ear should not mess with his balance. Na ee be say, he would be staggering, not being able to control his L & R movements. If he goes half deaf, he may wear a hearing aid.

    ReplyDelete

    1. For the upper respiratory issues, Baba might definitely have pneumonia. Hope they check for urinary tract infection too. He might not be drinking enough water. Drinks only tea, and probably that strong Hausa tea that's loaded with caffeine which is dehydrating. Older folks don't like water ' cause they are loosing taste or taste buds are drying up.
Whatever infection it needs prompt attention so he won't go into sepsis...wey ee fit carry am go.
