Anonymous 09.09, I have lost both parents, lost 3 brothers and three sisters but I still miss my dog after it got stolen because I know those that stole the dog did not mean well for it and besides, if you see what trained dogs are capable of doing, you will have nothing but love and respect for them.

DeleteAngela! This girl is very beautiful but doesn't have the carriage that suits her kinda beauty...
ReplyDeleteI remember when my dog ran off. Just for Two days. I wept like a kid. My parents and siblings were weeping as well. Luckily it happened in a quiet suburb somewhere in Yankee. Put up a few posters with my numbers. My dog was found that very day and taken to an animal shelter. They located me two days later and those were the longest days of my life.
ReplyDeleteCute dog
ReplyDeleteI hear some people make that mistake and honestly I don't get it. Poor dogs. How they must have suffered.
ReplyDeleteMy kids lost their Dog some 3 years ago and we were all Crushed. I too never understood the pain of losing a pet till I got the news that Murphy had died.
I was away on vacation with just me and the girls and the General called. It was a Sunday Morning, late morning. I just crumbled on my bed. I had to be strong as not to let the girls know.
He had traveled for official purposes, got back on Friday And Murphy was fine and welcomed him. He said the next day bn Saturday, security buzzed him and told him Murphy was behaving strangely. And that Infact it started since Friday but had worsened. He quickly made to go to his kennel but saw him just near the clothes line where it was very sunny. He touched him and he just laid there wagging his tail ever so weakly.
He took him and off to his vet they went. The vet checked him and all that and said she suspected ordinary flu and gave him medication. They got back home and the General himself prepared his food. But he said he noticed he didn't like entering his kennel and didn't have any appetite. He gave him warm milk instead.and that when he went to bed,he was inside and feeling much better.
He woke The next morning bn Sunday,a bit earlier than he should have and from habit, glanced at the CCTV and noticed Security with hands on his head. He said he wondered why he stood soo still and with his hands on his head. He zoomed in on the area and there was Murphy lying soo quietly on the ground. He had left his kennel and laid just it.
The memories are just flooding back.
Don't even want to remember the girls sadness when I sat them down and told them. And it was soo hard cos that very morning they woke up and d first thing they told me was "Mommy I miss Murphy"
They loved that dog. I don't like dogs inside the house except on very rare occasions and just along the corridors or balcony but I let this Murphy in. He has bn fed severally in my kitchen. The very first time I saw him eating in my kitchen,I just smiled. No,I didn't shout.and that was when I knew I must really love that dog. We adored him. He came to us when he was a puppy. One week old I think. I suffered kwanu. Cos he was soo tiny, and dey said he missed his mom, he was sad and fragile those days. We took care of him like he was a baby. Spoilt him silly. The General even got a microwave for Security just so Murphy's wil have warm food. He liked milk even as a big dog. And his bones. Beautiful dog. Loyal. I come home and u see him bounding to come greet me.
We miss u Murphy. And we know u are happy wherever u are.
I don't understand this but sorry for her loss
ReplyDeleteI don't like dogs. I grew up with dogs in my house and they were foreign dogs. I never let them come close to me. I run from them. But my brothers loved them better.
We went from having one female dog to 5. Because they always took her some where to mate with another foreign dogs. My brothers even sold some puppies. Our gate was written beware of dogs...
Last year when the oldest died, my brothers all called crying she was dead. I didn't understand their pain. I was just laughing.
Good for her
ReplyDeleteBTW
Angela hardly post anything about her horseband these days. I hope all is well between them.
Does she look or behave like someone's wife?
DeleteI beht the gateman was confused.
ReplyDeleteI remember when my dad's dog died cos I'm no fan of dogs.the dog ran outside when it saw a light thinking it was my mum's car coming through. That's how a driver turning in front of my dad's house just jammed d dog. Chei! It struggled to live sha. Immediately it died ehn see cry. Even me wain no dey like dog follow cry so I understand how Angela feels
Awwww... i know exactly how she must be feeling. I lost me dog and best friend Chelses 2 months ago to a bladder infection and i still cry anytime i talk about him. Only a dog lover would understand the joy a pet brings to your home. That selfless unconditional love, that faithfulness, even when i sometimes forgot to feed him when running late to work, he was always on the balcony waiting to greet me with his crazy spin and loud happy bark. I travelled with Chelsea almost everywhere and cos of him i was stuck with Aero airlines cos they were the only airline that carried pets. Chelsea... My little 'kuk-kus'. I still shed tears thinking about you. Bravest little dog in the world, you so wanted to live, you fought death till the very end and God knows i did me best and i would have done anything to keep you alive. Took you to the best vets, got you placed on drip, we were arranging to see how you could get a blood transfusion the morning you died. I feel so lost without you Chelsea, you will forever hold a special place in my heart.
ReplyDeleteMy sincere condolences Angela. I feel your loss.
I feel her pain, I don't know what I will do if anything happened to my cute baby Nora. Dogs are special
ReplyDeleteomg!!! the SDKers are so much better than the LIBers. YOU PEOPLE ARE REALLY ONE FAMILY. IF YOU SAW WHAT LIBERS RESPONDED TO THIS EXACT SAME POST EH!!! IM SURE ANGELA oKORE WANTS TO DIE. LIB for life sha!!
