Twenty Thousand Bees Follow Granny's Car For 2 Days 'Cos The Queen Was Stuck In The Boot‏

A GRANNY’S car was swarmed by 20,000 bees which followed her for TWO DAYS after their queen got stuck in her boot.

Carol Howarth, 65, was bee-mused after the swarm latched onto her silver Mitsubishi Outlander for 28 hours - turning it into a four wheel hive.
It took three beekeepers, a national park ranger and brave passers-by to help capture the swarm into a cardboard box while Carol was away from the car shopping.

But there was a sting in the tale.

Carol had parked her Mitsubishi in the town centre at Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire, at lunchtime on Sunday for a shopping trip.
But while she was away, the thousands of bees suddenly swarmed down to turn the car into a buzzing spectacle to amazement of passing shoppers.
While she was away, the rescue squad managed to capture the swarm in a special bee-keepers box.

Pembrokeshire Coast National Park ranger Tom Moses raised the alarm when he spotted the swarm on the car parked outside the Three Crowns pub in Haverfordwest.

Tom, 41, said: "It was spectacular. I was driving through when I spotted the big brown splodge.A lot of people were really amazed by it, cars were slowing down and people were taking pictures of it.I had seen swarms before settle on things like this but never one as large as this. It was quite a thing to see – certainly a 'wow' moment.I was really worried that someone could get hurt by them or that someone might damage them in their bid to clear the car so I stopped to help out.”

Tom contacted the Pembrokeshire Beekeepers' Association and two came out to round up the swarm. He was stung while assisting the rescue - but said he was glad to have been around.

When Carol returned the drama was over so she drove off assuming that was the end of it - but some of the swarm followed her home.
Carol, once again, called beekeepers to the rescue at 6pm on Monday.
She added: “The next day I realised that some of the bees had followed me home. There were a lot less than the first swarm.
"One theory was that the queen was trapped in my car and the swarm were following her.
"Apparently bees can swarm at this time of the year and it is a very strong instinct for them to follow the queen."

This is singular reason why pastors wld keep making a lucrative biz from Nigeria. Over spiritualizing everything. We need to learn to draw situations to a logical conclusion, then if dere is none u can assume d supernatural.
