Memo To The Young Shall Grow Motors..

BLOG VISITOR REPORT

''Great work you are doing Stella. Please o this is to call out the Young shall grow motors.....

So yesterday we boarded their long bus travelling from Calabar to Lagos. This was supposed to be a night journey. The bus took off by some minutes past 8pm. Later on,some funny sounds were coming out from this bus. The bus finally stopped by 11p.m totally. The bus was in a very bad state internally. Na so water, oil and all dey drop from the bus.

Na so dem go pack us for one bush along the road for Abia state and the driver and his conductor disappeared even till this morning. No form of explanation whatsoever. No number to call the management. It's totally wrong.

Even if we chose to travel by night,at least our safety should be their top most priority. They just left us there grumbling and cursing. Na so we kukuma sleep for the bus. Till now we are still on the road packed''.

    1. No Linda is not poverty, night is the best time to travel for those that are not so close to airport. I prefer night bus because it's calm and no unnecessary traffic. I do travel by night with my car. Yes. Lemme ask u, is ur hubby a billionaire? Did dasuki know him? Pls stop forming on the blog coz nobody really cares.

    2. How can you call yourself a married woman, yet you respond foolishly to issues? Ehn.. what does poverty have to do with night travelling.. I really want to knock some sense into you.

    5. Most ppl dt travel with night bus are into biz, dey like to get to Lagos in d morning, go to market and return to deir base d next day. Dey don't want to sleep with any1 in Lagos or pay for accommodation. So it's mostly bizness economics. Even very rich bizness owners use night bus bcos of this reason.

    6. Ehennnn, where are those people that were calling out blessing Egbe for using social media to expose Megachicken instead of going to their office.
In this case you will now suggest that they should board another vehicle back to calabar, report to the office (that is already aware) and then board another back to lagos! Crap!

    7. Some Idiats on this blog will ask if they were travelling by social media so why not to go their office instead of using internet. I dey wait una.

    8. Anonymous 9:51...how can you say that night travel is the best time to travel citing no proximity to airports & less traffic? Whatever happened to going the day before? Is it with the current state of our roads where there are water wells on the roads in the name of ditches & potholes? Biko state your sinister motives for traveling at night NOT because of airport & traffic

    2. Night bus ke. Abasi akan!!! You people try o. I feel night bus commuters are risk takers... business wise et al.
I use YSG only when I have to waybill stuff to and from lagos. And then I ask my package to be sent by night bus, but I don't get it till two days later. Makes me wonder if these passengers have the mind to stay in a bus for two whole days. Even the day time buses would have arrived by then.
I guess it's just the fun and thrill of night journeys.

  3. If you guys did not get the name of the driver and "conductor",what about the chassis number or plate number....at least it would aid the process of rectifying the problem. You just sent a vague memo.....i hope the appropriate authorities take action. Thank God for his protection over you guys. I pray you get back safely.

  5. You still travel by night in this country that is not safe at all, it seems you don't like your life oh, I had a terrible incident back then in 2008, when we were driving back to Lagos after my sister's wedding, I kept saying we should Lodge I don't like night journey, buy my sister's husband said let's manage and get to warri and we logde, that's how we almost ran into robbers close to uhgelli, mhen i was in shock for days, they were robbing a bus in front of us, they had already shot the driver dead and injured the conductor, how our did an automatic U-turn till today I can't tell, we just bent inside the car just incase they start shooting at us, you need see me shaking, anyone holding me at that moment would be shaking too. We had to go look for a place to lodge, what we would have done right from the onset.

My dear young shall grow did wrong putting a bus not in a good condition on the road but please next time don't travel at night it's not safe at all, what if you all were robbed( God forbid) or even rapped( even more scary). All the same thank God you are safe.

At list since you dont know the driver and conductor name, then the car plate number would have helped.Meanwhile, why travelling at night? That's too risky.Hope the authority will take action at once.Take God you guys are safe.

  20. What I don't understand is, why do people do business like this? For me, it is complete wickedness or how do one explain this.

If they have only few buses and there are well serviced and catered for, people will feel some sense of safety and thereby patronising them even further and for them , good business. Instead they prefer to do the wrong thing not only that but putting peoples' lives at risk in this present situation of the country.

When will Nigeria move forward, when?

    ReplyDelete
  21. This is so bad, why will they do such a thing?

  25. God forbid evils oh. Night travel when even the safety of the daytime own is not guaranteed. Why are people still taking such foolish risks? That thing they rushing to achieve is it worth it? Poster just thank God that you all made it till this morning & as for Young shall grow motors...the safety of your passengers should be your top priority& jeopardizing it like this (obviously faulty buses ) is an issue that can kill your business.
Waiting for their robust reply like mega chicken abi what's their name again sef.

  26. The company is fully aware the bus is bad yet they embark on the journey. It is now a strategy adopted by young shall grow motors. I have traveled from Lagos to Kano twice before through this company and it was a bad experience. The first time it broke down at okene at the wee hour and we have to sleep there till dawn before taking another bus. The second time it broke down at some distance away from Abuja and we also have to take another bus to Kano. It is not a choice nor poverty to travel by bus all through the night but some circumstances warrant it.

    ReplyDelete
  27. yes, people still travel by night and i tell you its suppose to ne the safest mode of travel, but the companies not even the criminals are largely to blame.they put unserviceable buses on the road, with very ill mannered staff known as drivers and conducters. Its appalling to enter into a simple arrangemet of take me somewhere for an agreed price, i pay and im been abandoned by the road side. Stella, pls really call them out. My 2 cents of cos!

My parents once let me miss PDTF scholarship examination just cos Arik decided to be crazy and cancel our flights at the last minute.

With my shaky voice,i asked my folks if I could risk a nigggg, dem no let me finish oh,na so dem say nne, goan sleep. Forget the exam!

But I think business men and women do it to save cost and further cut some losses.
