BLOG VISITOR REPORT
''Great work you are doing Stella. Please o this is to call out the Young shall grow motors.....
So yesterday we boarded their long bus travelling from Calabar to Lagos. This was supposed to be a night journey. The bus took off by some minutes past 8pm. Later on,some funny sounds were coming out from this bus. The bus finally stopped by 11p.m totally. The bus was in a very bad state internally. Na so water, oil and all dey drop from the bus.
Na so dem go pack us for one bush along the road for Abia state and the driver and his conductor disappeared even till this morning. No form of explanation whatsoever. No number to call the management. It's totally wrong.
Even if we chose to travel by night,at least our safety should be their top most priority. They just left us there grumbling and cursing. Na so we kukuma sleep for the bus. Till now we are still on the road packed''.
What?...
ReplyDeleteSo people still dey travel at nights in this country?...
Say no to poverty!..
No Linda is not poverty, night is the best time to travel for those that are not so close to airport. I prefer night bus because it's calm and no unnecessary traffic. I do travel by night with my car. Yes. Lemme ask u, is ur hubby a billionaire? Did dasuki know him? Pls stop forming on the blog coz nobody really cares.
DeleteNo to poverty Ooooo.Lol
DeleteHow can you call yourself a married woman, yet you respond foolishly to issues? Ehn.. what does poverty have to do with night travelling.. I really want to knock some sense into you.
DeleteQueen how rich are you?
DeleteWho have you help on this blog
You need a renew mentality
Your poverty background is really pushing you too faster
God help you
So, you think pple embark on night journey cos of poverty? Smh.
DeleteMost ppl dt travel with night bus are into biz, dey like to get to Lagos in d morning, go to market and return to deir base d next day. Dey don't want to sleep with any1 in Lagos or pay for accommodation. So it's mostly bizness economics. Even very rich bizness owners use night bus bcos of this reason.
DeleteEhennnn, where are those people that were calling out blessing Egbe for using social media to expose Megachicken instead of going to their office.
DeleteIn this case you will now suggest that they should board another vehicle back to calabar, report to the office (that is already aware) and then board another back to lagos! Crap!
Some Idiats on this blog will ask if they were travelling by social media so why not to go their office instead of using internet. I dey wait una.
DeleteAnonymous 9:51...how can you say that night travel is the best time to travel citing no proximity to airports & less traffic? Whatever happened to going the day before? Is it with the current state of our roads where there are water wells on the roads in the name of ditches & potholes? Biko state your sinister motives for traveling at night NOT because of airport & traffic
DeletePls, I want to travel to ph. Which airline is better between airpeace and arik. Pls I need ur advice
DeleteEdo airways
DeleteAnonymous 11:27...business economics & safety foolishness. They don't want to speak N7000 & sleep yet when armed robbers kill them on the road, their burial go pass that N7000
DeletePlease do Airpeace, follow arik at your own risk.
DeleteSo people still do night journeys in Nigeria? I thought it has been banned.
DeleteGod forbid, travelling during the day is risky let alone travelling in total darkness, hian.
Yes, poverty is the cause of night travel so you people shouldn't even bother trying to explain after all it isn't a sin to be poor
DeleteYou guys are just lucky that nothing happened to you.
ReplyDeleteYoung shall grow motors is just like Osundu Motors. Na so so spoilt.
They will carry dead bus give drivers as far it is a third or fourth bus. Mere looking at it self, no ac at all.
Am sure they back obereche put there self.
Osondu motors still dey exist
DeleteNight bus ke. Abasi akan!!! You people try o. I feel night bus commuters are risk takers... business wise et al.
DeleteI use YSG only when I have to waybill stuff to and from lagos. And then I ask my package to be sent by night bus, but I don't get it till two days later. Makes me wonder if these passengers have the mind to stay in a bus for two whole days. Even the day time buses would have arrived by then.
I guess it's just the fun and thrill of night journeys.
If you guys did not get the name of the driver and "conductor",what about the chassis number or plate number....at least it would aid the process of rectifying the problem. You just sent a vague memo.....i hope the appropriate authorities take action. Thank God for his protection over you guys. I pray you get back safely.
ReplyDeleteWow .... That's terrible ! Nigerians really need to wake up and start demanding for better services
ReplyDeleteYou still travel by night in this country that is not safe at all, it seems you don't like your life oh, I had a terrible incident back then in 2008, when we were driving back to Lagos after my sister's wedding, I kept saying we should Lodge I don't like night journey, buy my sister's husband said let's manage and get to warri and we logde, that's how we almost ran into robbers close to uhgelli, mhen i was in shock for days, they were robbing a bus in front of us, they had already shot the driver dead and injured the conductor, how our did an automatic U-turn till today I can't tell, we just bent inside the car just incase they start shooting at us, you need see me shaking, anyone holding me at that moment would be shaking too. We had to go look for a place to lodge, what we would have done right from the onset.
ReplyDeleteMy dear young shall grow did wrong putting a bus not in a good condition on the road but please next time don't travel at night it's not safe at all, what if you all were robbed( God forbid) or even rapped( even more scary). All the same thank God you are safe.
Scary ish right there.thank God o!
DeleteBut seriously,do people stil travel by night bus?
I thought it was banned some years ago? Hian!
Especially when it became became big target for armed robbers cos of travelling business men.
And whether they banned it or not,it's not safe. One shouldn't wait to be told.
That's so wrong and inhumane of d company.
ReplyDelete@poster,if u want to travel always come to the park early. And select new buses.
So James na park you dey work hahahaha. Educated illiterate
DeleteKwakwakwakwakwakwakwakwakwakwakwa
DeleteROTFL. Anon 10:32,at least I get work naw. At all ,at all na him bad pass
DeleteJames! So why didn't you cuss them for using social media to complain? Like you did to blessing egbe?
Delete...but selling rotten moi moi by megachicken is good. Is this not supposed to spoil market for The young shall grow motors like you and your cohorts were screaming yesterday, Eka Joy, Fab mum, Bonaparte. You should condemn this one nauu, based on your line of arguments yesterday.
DeleteWorking isn't the problem. We just finally understood the reason why you are stupid and can only gbensh all your groundnut sellers, and abasha

***CURRENTLY IN JUPITER***
Same thing with their Bus coming from Lagos to Abuja yesterday.
ReplyDeleteThose ones got to their destination around 12midnight I hear.
They will soon issue an uncoordinated, unapologetic response now.
That's sooo bad. What if you guys had been attacked during the night? This country sha...
ReplyDeleteMy dear, young shall grow is one of the worst public transport companies out there.Just like peace mass transit. Then travelling at night is just not it at all.
DeleteIts not just them. All these night buses aren't safe. The worst is how the drivers pick passengers on the road not knowing who is who, especially God bless Ezenwanta motors
ReplyDeleteSTOP TRAVELLING AT NIGHTS!ITS NOT SAFE!
ReplyDelete'Them park una close to bush'? Omg,you ppl slept in front of a forest.ha! Don't you have reciept?there are numbers for you to call on it.
ReplyDeleteBtw you ppl should panel beat that driver&conductor immediately they return. Imagine putting ppls life @ risk
Thank God for ur safety, next time look for a sound bus or u travel early to avoid stories that touches the heart..
ReplyDeleteHmmmmm y night bus for God sake? Anyways get the plate num and see if something reasonable can come out of this call out.
ReplyDeleteNote.. go with daytime buses to avoid stories that touch like dis
ABC is does that too. i have travelled with them severally the dumped us on the way . first bus oo after that i told myself never to again.
ReplyDelete"Is does that"?
DeleteEnd time memo
ReplyDeleteYoung shall grow with their I'll mannered drivers.
ReplyDeleteThat was how one was arguing with a passenger and driving from Owerri to Abuja.
We nearly had accident at Asaba if not the intervention of God.
Use Agofure u say no
ReplyDeleteAbi o. Or even God is good, una say no. And stop traveling at night
DeleteTortoise run pass this buses for high way n they always have issues, how do u people do it I mean those who board this mpakara buses.
ReplyDeleteMy dear, you just ended up sending an empty call out. What's the plate number? At list since you dont know the driver and conductor name, then the car plate number would have helped.Meanwhile, why travelling at night? That's too risky.Hope the authority will take action at once.Take God you guys are safe.
ReplyDeleteUna safe journey o
ReplyDeleteWhat I don't understand is, why do people do business like this? For me, it is complete wickedness or how do one explain this.
ReplyDeleteIf they have only few buses and there are well serviced and catered for, people will feel some sense of safety and thereby patronising them even further and for them , good business. Instead they prefer to do the wrong thing not only that but putting peoples' lives at risk in this present situation of the country.
When will Nigeria move forward, when?
This is so bad, why will they do such a thing?
ReplyDeleteThey should build good rail system and all this will be history ,
ReplyDeleteDo people still travel far distance by road,?
ReplyDelete@queen nawa for you o. wetin concern night journey and poverty? nawa for u sha
ReplyDeletetraveller thnk God for journey mercies
God forbid evils oh. Night travel when even the safety of the daytime own is not guaranteed. Why are people still taking such foolish risks? That thing they rushing to achieve is it worth it? Poster just thank God that you all made it till this morning & as for Young shall grow motors...the safety of your passengers should be your top priority& jeopardizing it like this (obviously faulty buses ) is an issue that can kill your business.
ReplyDeleteWaiting for their robust reply like mega chicken abi what's their name again sef.
The company is fully aware the bus is bad yet they embark on the journey. It is now a strategy adopted by young shall grow motors. I have traveled from Lagos to Kano twice before through this company and it was a bad experience. The first time it broke down at okene at the wee hour and we have to sleep there till dawn before taking another bus. The second time it broke down at some distance away from Abuja and we also have to take another bus to Kano. It is not a choice nor poverty to travel by bus all through the night but some circumstances warrant it.
ReplyDeleteyes, people still travel by night and i tell you its suppose to ne the safest mode of travel, but the companies not even the criminals are largely to blame.they put unserviceable buses on the road, with very ill mannered staff known as drivers and conducters. Its appalling to enter into a simple arrangemet of take me somewhere for an agreed price, i pay and im been abandoned by the road side. Stella, pls really call them out. My 2 cents of cos!
ReplyDeleteGrace..............
That company is broke. All the money don enter Cynthia wedding and new prado 2015 wedding gift.
ReplyDeleteLaFresh old mama, no go marry. Wait there until menopause catch u for ur papa house. Stay there dey jealousy another woman
DeleteIs it your menopause?
DeleteBwahahhahahahahahahha!!!@i'd rather trek to Kafanchan.
ReplyDeleteMy parents once let me miss PDTF scholarship examination just cos Arik decided to be crazy and cancel our flights at the last minute.
With my shaky voice,i asked my folks if I could risk a nigggg, dem no let me finish oh,na so dem say nne, goan sleep. Forget the exam!
But I think business men and women do it to save cost and further cut some losses.
This country sev... I don’t understand
ReplyDeleteNawa oo
ReplyDeleteThinking of making same journey... Very discouraging comments
