The Minister of Information and Culture Alhaji. Lai Mohammed said yesterday in
Lagos that the recent decision by the federal government to increase the
pump price of Petrol was unavoidable.
He said the Federal Government had to increase the price to raise money to run the system, since Nigeria was broke noting that the country's foreign earnings had reduced drastically in recent times and that the only way out of its present financial predicament was to look inwards to generate more money.
Lai however assured that government was doing everything possible to ensure
it does not fail on its promises to Nigerians....
#Lionking..lol
This man must be crazy sha.

Obvious that d country is broke. Queen u don't talk like someone wt any sense @ all, anyways a jobless mosquito that comment on every post can only reason like dis
DeleteThese current government must be mad. Nigeria is broke huh?. Did the 'brokeness' affect their salaries? Or they are still earning big amounts of money for doing nutin and the poor masses suffer for the brokeness? Did the brokeness of nigeria stop buhari and co from travelling round the world?.
DeleteAll these ministers, they haven't received salary since their appointment or is it just civil servants that are entitled to suffering?
God save the innocent citizens of this country. Even in past administrations where people were stealing money upandan nigeria didn't go broke. It's in dis corruption tenure that nigeria decides to go broke. Ok so what happened to all the 'returned loots'? ooo God, I am too angry for the leaders of this country.. God save Nigeria!!!.
He says Nigeria is broke, yet he didn't have any qualms asking for millions for his trip?
ReplyDeleteTalk about double standards!
God is watching you o!

ReplyDeleteIsn't this man mad?
I just don't get it,the presidency says a thing and ds idiot comes to say another
Does he even consult with his apc counterparts b4 uttering d nonsense he's known for
oh well...he may be right and just told Nigerians the true reason for d fuel increment.
Regardless of the case...lai needs to be let loose, dude doesn't fit in2 this present administration
Does this man even review his statements in his head before allowing them pop out of his mouth? Looking inwards is not generating funds through economic developmental strategies but taxing the citizens on every ammenity abi? Thats the best step the whole financial cabinet could proffer? We are never going to grow with this type of mindset . These set of buffoons in office are just amazing.
ReplyDeleteGbam!!!

DeleteNigeria is broke, they impose stamp duty.
Nigeria is broke, they hike petroleum product prices,by this time next year they'll ask for 1pint of blood each, every month from the masses...
God help us!
this old man refused to acknowledged that he is a grandpa and too old for lies.
ReplyDeletei wonder what his children will do when they grow like him
Nigeria is broke but your allowance(s) is in millions.
ReplyDeleteThis man is too foolish for his post.
ReplyDeleteThe country will never forget his stupid statement about how masquerades will create millions of jobs
Awesome confession! So why are governors still collecting hundreds of millions in the name of "security vote"? Why are senators getting a pay package of over $2million annually when POTUS is making $400,000? Why is PMB flying like a witch on a mission when the country is broke? If the country is broke, cut from the affluent 1% to palliate the crunching 99%. Sometimes I just wonder the intensity of lies & juju these "polictricians" use to confess the electorates.
ReplyDeleteGbam!!!
DeleteHahaha.
DeleteSay something new Oga
ReplyDeleteLiar from the pit of hell...
ReplyDeleteThis is what happens when you talk too much, very soon you start to sound incoherent and subsequently, like you don't have a thinking faculty.
ReplyDeleteThe government(executive and the upper, lower houses) could not think of slashing their allowances to augment and fill the gap!(even if it doesn't totally fill it)
So you ask the masses to hustle for the money to fund your lavish lifestyle?!
Do this people think we are daft?!
How much in the budget goes to the typical market woman or okada rider?
So we should buy fuel at 145 so that you can finally get the 13million you wanted to borrow from NBC to import the masquerade attires from china?!
You will soon goof and rubbish Buhari totally if you keep opening your mouth at every opportunity?! By the time, I await the end of the total ruin you currently wrought in the ministry of information.
Empty brain!
Buhari had better fire this man soon!
And who the fuck is the PRO for APC again?!
Gbam!!!

ReplyDeleteThey should start telling themselves the truth for once.
They should stop paying ministers, house of rep members and senators. Nigeria is broke and to tax poor masses to death while u feed on it is the way forward.
ReplyDeleteI wonder when it has become the rule for a minister to borrow money from a parastatal under it for whatever reason.

ReplyDeleteThis man is not just crazy but a fat lair just like his name sounds. Lai Mohammed, an elder telling lies to his children
ReplyDeleteBut pls what are they doing with the looted money that have been returned? His excuse seem so shallow.
ReplyDeleteThis man is a big joke.
ReplyDeleteThis man just like make people insult am
ReplyDeleteI believe Nigeria is broke.
ReplyDeleteWe depend solely on sales of crude oil whose price has dropped in the world market..
We import refined oil ,when there is no profit from the sales of the parent compound.
How can a man who has just one business that isn't yielding good profit not be broke?
Other countries have textiles which they export and make gains..They have agricultural produce which they export and make gains...Nigeria has only crude for exportation and we import virtually everything ,down to papers for printing. (And sambisa forest is there for harvesting o)
Nigeria can't sustain this subsidy crap. .you subsidise when you have enough in the first instance.
Agreed the economy is very harsh, it affects me too.its time for subsidy to be stopped (that's coming from the angle of the common man) and the salaries of the serving officers should only be 3 times or 5 times the minimum wage if the average Nigerian.they should scrap out sitting allowance and cutlery allowance..maybe then and only then would people who have good intentions venture into politics not these thieves parading themselves as politicians.
Ps.dnt mind my punctuations I'm exhausted after a busy night.if you know what I mean
This is what Nigerians are known for, to rant and rant till they can rant no more on the social media...to support the strike so that the government can take you seriously you will not! everybody is doing I cannot strike I cannot join..tscheww..shebi the fuel price is still 145naira, e go soon reash 200naira no worry cos I hope you all know that they have not even removed the subsidy? this is just a hike to help with the refineries... e n j o y
ReplyDeleteThis administration has decided to keep us in total blackout and still incease fuel price
