Fuel Price Increase Situation in Port Harcourt.

BLOG VISITOR SITUATION REPORT.
''Dear Stella,
The impact of the increase in pump price of PMS is being felt already. The NNPC mega station in pH were quick to adjust to #145/per litre and the queues have re-surfaced. other filling stations refused to sell taking us back to square one.

Initially I thought the #145 maximum price was for independent marketers, for NNPC mega station to start sale at the stipulated maximum price it's something I can't comprehend.

May God help our country''

This is really serious!..

  1. All filling stations have increased. They dont waste time at all.

I no fit laugh. It is good.

I have the money to buy even if they sell at N200. Afterall in my village it is being sold at N180 per litre, so why wont city people buy at N145.

  3. The statement by the minister was clear enough but you still didn't understand it.

The new price is not for independent marketers! The new price will be the new normal for ALL marketers including the NNPC.

Always try to read and understand before complaining.

  6. Dont mind some people who don't comprehend things well but come on blogs to form intelligence..

145 official price means that's the price NNPC can sell for. And we all know NNPC sell at the cheapest rate. So other stations can decide to sell at 150 naira or more depending on how much they bought from the marketers.

Will this reduce queue?? I don't think so. Will this make things easier for Nigerians? No.

The economy is already hard. Why put official price at 145?? It should have been at 100 naira official price so that other stations would sell between thay amount to 145..

People should keep consoling themselves with it will get worse before it gets better...

I'm just wondering why Buhari doesn't have luck on his side when it comes to rolling tho. Same kind of hardship that came in the last time he was in government is what we are experiencing.. He had to be overthrown and locked up before things got better again the last time. So how come things got better when he was overthrown the last time and locked up?? And why is he the master of blame games?? Last time he was always blaming the administration before him.. But immediately he was locked up things took a turn for good..

Well I'll just keep looking. No situation would overwhelm my family and I as we are abundantly favored in the name of Jesus. Where people say there is a cast down shall we experience a lifting up because we are secured in Christ..

I pity the poor. I honestly do pity them. Most of them will shut down their little business. They will starve because their stipends have not been paid. They will hunger because the things in the market will be so high. We were complaining of inflation but watch how things will skyrocket more because of this fuel price.. Everything will be so hard and I just wonder how the poor will survive..

    Please this is my opinion...

His plans for nigeria might be good in the long run but nigeria and the black race in general are known to be shortsighted.

      My opinion.

With the over 200% increase in light tarrif whixh wouldn't have been a problem if there was contant light, now fuel is to be sold for so much. How will people do business?? And you all wonder why people don't buy Nigeria to grow the naira. When everyone would be putting all the cost into the products making it expensive than foreign products..

My dear, it's well with you.. God will see you thru..

I have told my husband not to pay Nepa bill this month but he will go and pay as he is onye obioma. I wonder why the people on my street are yet to protest. Everyone be forming. Mtcheww. Last month we had a total of 100hrs light in a month. For a whole 30 days, we have 100 hours light which is about 4 days if added together. Yes we all calculated.. And they had the gluta to bring this bill?? Wow. I have told my hubby, don't pay this light, let them come and take their wires... All we need to do is buy diesel and run the gen for at least 12hrs a day.

I use to think fashola was intelligent until he said his children also have heat rashes.. Lmao, like him saying this is the bitter pill we have to swallow wasn't enough..

You complain vandal vandals, the also administration dealt with vandals too. Vandals were destroying things But they found a way to make it work. I use to have light for at least 18hrs a day before but now I don't even see for

Pkease I'm ranting already. I don't blame people relocating.

  11. My problem is not even the subsidy removal.. it is the fact that the President came in and slashed the fuel price to 86:50.

    My questions are:
Is it that he did it to please Nigerians and ignore the obvious economic situation that begged for the subsidy to be removed completely or partially?

Or he did It to prove a point? To show us that he is better than the last administration? Which to me isn't necessary,we are not playing ten,ten here.

Or this Dude does not have a clue whatsoever about this economy, its needs and a way out?

Does it mean that from the interviews I saw of him in the past years(campaign) he didn't know what subsidy removal was and still used it as a campaign weapon?

I seriously hope for the love of Mike that the last two are not the case.... I mean, why dance around an issue if you knew the solution?

Just don't wanna be too scared,i want to sleep tight knowing that this country is in safe, capable hands.

Sir,please...I know you are good at hunting down corrupt officials(God bless you) but pleaseeee,if there are areas you lack knowledge, read up and listen to people that know.

Lastly, yes subsidy removal is the ideal thing to do right now,and with the way the common man is suffering right now, there will never be a best time for it. So I will not cuss anyone that cries out. I just pray that we all live to experience this change at the long run. Amen.

    1. Subsidy removal has always been the right thing to do since. Gej tried it and him fashola and tinubu organized the so called occupy Nigeria. Making Jonathan to back off on the plan..

They went as far as saying there was nothing like subsidy. Only for him to become the president and now removed the supposed subsidy thay wasn't in existence..

Again, removing subsidy is good but official price at 145 is too much. There is already hardship in the land. Workers are been sacked. I heard glo is set 100s of workers soon. So many companies have downsized because of the economic melt down.. Adding this is going to make things more tougher for people..

And yes I totally believe Buhari doesn't know about the economy. If he knew about the economy he wouldn't have said there was nothing like subsidy payment.. He had no plans at all. All he wanted was to remove pdp from power and Nigerians were already tired of Jonathan, so between Buhari and Jonathan people pitched their tents with him..

Explain why he had to take time to appoint ministers. I was even giving excuses for him during that time saying he wants to appoint the best of the best, at the end of the day it was well known faces that have been moving with him..

No plans were drawn before they entered. The plans are just coming up now albeit trial and error..

    2. Appointing those ministers so late, and the back and forth senate threw our budget is part of the challenges we are having in the administration part of his work.

You wanna put honest, decent men on that seat? Good! It doesn't have to take you months to get the right men there....

The ability to work smart is to do something right, fast and efficient, the first time.

Let him just listen to good counsel,he apparently has some weak/blank points.

  17. Why all the rant and complains just because our sufferings have been made official. Before now majority of Us were buying for 200 plus from black marketers and the rest but now there is CHANGE its 145 flat rate. For months we have been suffering so by now we should have acclimatized, I don't expect anything new. If you want to live long in this Nigeria worry less about economic situation because it is mind boggling. They would never be affected, policies made are for their favour.

  18. The same thing GEJ wanted to do and was called names. I queued yesterday trying to get fuel just 2 cars ahead of mine and was told that fuel has finished. Got home and discovered that FG has removed subsidy, now the money at hand won't even give me up to the litres I want... #ShameOnAjalaTheTraveler

Where are the APC voltrons, you guys should complete my money to get up to the litres I want.... #jokesApart

Had it been GEJ removed this then, we'd have gotten over it by now. SO many public workers were sacked after swearing-in even up till date, no job, no money, no power, no water, etc and not that the fuel is available at the present rate.

  23. When Buhari said he didn't know what subsidy meant years ago, he sincerely meant it. So I don't have a problem with him on that because personally I still believe that even what he knows now is what he is told(whether he understands is another issue) but I have a problem with the people who quickly supported the position of someone who didn't know, anyway perhaps they didn't know and still don't know he doesn't know..cos they are all bunch of clueless people #

  24. This government has failed the common man! No power supply inspite of tariff hike. No single refinery working after 60 years of producing crude oil. No jobs for the teeming populace. APC has failed at Federal level! Kachiukwu has failed. Buhari is wicked and insensitive to the plight of the masses. He is clueless, confused and incompetent. Cry my beloved country! We need to rise up and fight this great injustice and tyranny.
