Good Day Docs....






Bloated stomach
For some time now, I have been having indigestion and constipation leading to bloated stomach. I pass out stool like twice a week which is always very hard and painful despite the fact that I drink lots of water. 

Just recently, I went to see my doctor and she recommended I take half a bottle of Mist Alba, I did that and got temporary relief.


But now, the bloated stomach is back making me uncomfortable and looking pregnant, please, Doctors in the house, what do I do to get a permanent solution to it. Thanks and God bless

    And always eat ur dinner early

  5. Have you tried eating lots of fruits? Paw paw is really good, try it and continue taking lots of water, result would surely come.

  12. It's gas. Watch what u eat, take more fruits (pawpaw). Take plenty water especially as u wake up every morning. Make mist mag your companion. You'll be fine.

Hope you don't take cold water immediately after eating?Excess intake of cold water after consuming any meal leads to indigestion or constipation.Also,no matter the quantity of H20 you take provided it's very chilled/cold doesn't soften the food for easy digestion,and then excretion.Cold water is really dentrimental to health,depending on your body system though.

  18. Pls go for a CT Scan to see if your Spleen is enlarged. My mom had a similar issue and the hospital was busy treating her for indigestion until the CT Scan showed what the problem waa

  19. Please go for a CD Scan just to check that your Spleen is not enlarged. My mum had something like that and they were treating indigestion in the hospital until the scan showed what the issue was.

  20. Ginger after a meal. Less red meat and less white bread. Beans is good and loads of apples. Try to walk or excercise daily. Used to have the same problem but now I use the loo daily for no.2

    A little more detail would have been helpful especially your age.
    Marital status with number
    Of children is also not far fetched.

    Constipation and bloating can be caused by a gamut of things.

    Commoner ones in this environment are
    1) dietary causes (milk and other dairies,E.t.c)
    2)Intestinal obstruction (colorectal cancer, pyloric stenosis, ovarian cancer etc
    3) fibroids are also in the picture here ( a big fibroid sitting on the rectum closes it and prevents faeces from passing thru, there by causing constipation and bloating).

    I am going with either of the last two.I just suspect its not dietary.

    You will likely have at least an ultrasound scan done or preferably a CT scan of the abdomen .they will shed good light on what is happening in there.

    From there the next steps will be taken.

  22. You should get some laxatives to help. Like liquid paraffin, bisacodyl,ducolax...etc. ask at a pharmacy for a combination laxative. But you need to work on your diet. Eat food rich in fibre, vegetables and so on. Whole wheat bread. Drinks lots of water. Fruits: citrus, pineapple and co.
    But on the other hand if none of these work you may need to have a scan done to rule out any anatomical obstruction.

    1. I agree with Oh-G to some extent. Skip the laxatives and try dietary modification first(refer to oh-G). I noticed that exercising in the mornings helps my bowel movement so I encourage you to try brisk walking for about 30minutes. If there's no appreciable change go see a doctor for appropriate mgt and to rule out any pathologies.

  23. Its no fibroid. Eat high fiber foods or buy the fiber tablets of GNLD and take 3times daily of 2 _ 3 tablets. Take plenty water too.

  25. It happened to me before. I was sent for scan. Worms caused it. Take Mebendazole. The main brand written mebendazole. It was like maggic, indigestion and constipation of close to a month disappeared. Thank me later. BV Oma
