Court Orders Worldwide Freeze Of $1.8 Billion In Assets Belonging To Kola Aluko,Jide Omokore And Atlantic Energy

OMG!!!!!

A Federal high court in Lagos has granted a Mareva injunction permitting the Nigerian government to freeze assets owned by two Nigerian businessmen Kola Aluko and Jide Omokore, and their company Atlantic Energy.

The individuals are linked to former Nigerian oil minister, Diezani Alison-Madueke in a wide range shady business dealings that illegally transferred Nigerian oil assets to them and their companies.

The legal documents, exclusively obtained by SaharaReporters, demanded a global freeze of $1.8 billion in assets stolen by Atlantic Energy executives Kola Aluko and Jide Omokore.

This development follows reports that Mr. Aluko sold his lavish Bel-Air mansion in Los Angeles, USA at a $2 million loss.

Mr. Omikore has also been under intense scrutiny by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), which seized a 2 million pound wristwatch from him on April 27th, 2016 and raided his Nigerian homes on October 2nd, 2015.

Atlantic Energy was granted enormous contracts from the Nigerian Petroleum Development Company (NPDC) under the direction of the embattled former Minister for Petroleum Resources Madueke.

According to reports, when Mrs. Madueke granted Atlantic Energy contracts through the Strategic Alliance Agreements (SAA) the company did not even legally exist.

According to legal documents, available below, Mr. Aluko and Mr. Omikore stole more than $1.7 billion from the Nigerian government.

Assets specifically mentioned include three mansions in Los Angeles, two high-end apartments in New York City, properties in Santa Barbara, California; numerous properties in Lagos including 43 apartments in Banana Island, 58 vehicles, the Galactica Star yacht, and three airplanes.

    3. Indimi' case is dicy. What he should have done was to invest in the Niger deltans who secure his source of income, his oil bloc. Granted that he may have been doing things for them, but when they see that u still have that much to spare a foreign institution, whilst they are still languishing in acute poverty, they will most certainly get infuriated.

It wouldn't be a bad idea if Indimi even set up a university or a technical institution to better the lives of that community. Or even in his own state. People didn't quite understand the grievance against Indimi's donation. It was a huge slap on their faces because what he gives them is peanut compared to how much he makes daily. What is wrong with making them "joint owners" by giving them a sense of belonging? I don't agree that these militants should be over pampered by individuals or even the federal govt, cos some are becoming too lazy. But if what u are making from them is so much, it wouldn't hurt to make them a little more comfortable by investing in whatever they choose to do to sustain themselves.

Why shouldn't the courts also order the freezing of the assets of other oil tycoons from the north?
One misguided northern oil man even shamelessly donated 4.2 billion naira to an American University .
If dat is not corruption, then nothing is corruption

Greed is a gremlin. Small and harmless at the beginning, but feed it and it turns into an uncontrollable monster.

What were they accumulating those landed property and other assets for?

How much more accurate is a 2million pound wristwatch than the regular Swiss Quartz or whatever they're called?

I pray Diezani recovers fast. I no fit talk again sef.

And they are only going to sleep in one bedroom in one house at a time,be in one place at a time, yet they acquire all these properties, what greetings, while some people don't even have a pillow to lay their heads, while a whole family of 6 lives in just a room, while lots of people are dying of hunger.hmmmnnnn until we Nigerians start fighting for our rites cos we are all entitle to this oil money but only the rich and powerful keep squandering all the money. This Jide omokore carry our money dey treat Porsha Williams to rolls Royce,80 thousand dollars Hermes bags a piece, lots of goodies... I do hope you lot that like to cuss Buhari out over everything going wrong realise it's this thieves that are to blame for the problems going on in our country cos they will do anything to sabotage Buhari's government cos he's a good president that is not corrupt like them.people use your head,Buhari is fighting corruption for us all but these thieves won't go down without a fight that is why they are taking all strategies to bring the country down in hardship with their powers.Tomato wey cost like gold is a man made problem by one of these powerful thieves, petrol wey scarce since and cost like diamond is a man made problem by the powerful thieves.May GOD help this country Nigeria cos the suffering is too much.am happy and have a good life living here in Ghana with my family.

    1. That is ehn. Even the white men that they acquire these properties from do not use them anyhow. One house is enough and they are good to go. But Nigerians? Mba. Same with how Ibori was just acquiring properties anyhow, all over the world. How many rooms can u sleep in at a time? U can't even be in lagos and kaduna at the same time, much more being in Nigeria and Spain to be using all these unnecessary luxury. They'll be in Nigeria and still be paying to maintain empty houses all over the world. While the apartments that they cannot visit in months or years will gather dust. They even forget that some of these luxurious apartments they bought exists. Absolute madness.

It is mental poverty as opposed to what they consider "exposure" or finesse. This is sheer greed.

  23. These northerners hv been milking the country dry since independence. Since they hv always been in power, they allocated the oil blocks to their kinsmen. Danjuma and Indimi are good examples. They earn more than many states in country monthly.
Imagine Alh Indimi donating N4.2B to an American University.
If all money stolen from the Nigerian people are going to be returned. The northern govt-made billionaires should be the ones to return their money first.

    1. The theory they are giving for Jonathan's inability to help his people is that he was handicapped. That he was controlled by some forces who were watching him closely and waiting to see whether he would want to use his capacity as president to help the minority. And it is said that it is a trend with every president, that once they enter office their own people suffer the most because they always want to please 'others' to avoid being tagged 'selective'.

  26. Good job Nigeria, i am proud and overjoyed by this movie. Diezani enriched Kola Aluko for no justifiable reason with the sweat and blood of Nigerian citizens. I hope he gets arrested
