This is a detailed explanation of what turned the day into a black Monday.
Two shots were fired....one went straight into his stomach and the other into the left side of his chest....
DID THE POLICE DENY SHOOTING PETER OFURUM?
Say I was a part of the protesters or that I was at the wrong place at the right time but don’t say I don’t know what I’m talking about.
On Monday morning as the protest against the Administration’s policy of no school fees no exam (which meant carrying over the whole semester), was going on in Campus and along East/West Road (by Choba small gate and Delta junction), I was in my room, receiving and making calls, chatting and getting pictures of the situation in Campus and at the junction.
At about 12pm, my wing mates and I decided to go round school to see what was happening. We walked around Abuja Campus, and then went to Delta Campus before arriving at the junction.
Here at the junction, students were gathered on the road, displaying placards, cooking and playing football. The Police who were heavily armed were camped beside this crowd just observing. In a matter of minutes after my arrival, public address systems were set up and cool Nigeria music began to hit the air which the students began to dance to; at a point during the dancing, an announcement was made that some of our students were arrested and taken to the Police station in Alakahia. Part of the students marched down to the station but I remained at the junction.
Minutes later, I saw students’ running back towards us with vans of a different set of armed police men coming behind them. As they approached where we were dancing, they alighted and began running towards us and shooting at us. We all ran for safety as they shot tear gas everywhere while shooting bullets into the air. I ran towards Emoha road; at first I ran to the shops beside Kilimanjaro but before Agofure motors then I crossed the road to the park where vehicles normally loaded. The armed men now concentrated on the crowd that ran towards First Bank area.
At this time a student was shouting at the Police for shooting down a student who was lying on the ground. The Police men waved down at him showing no concern for the shot student. As he shouted, he couldn’t come out of where he was for fear of being shot, I saw him calling on students but no one came around, after some minutes I crossed over, he came close, about 2 more students joined us.
At this time, he (Peter) wasn’t moving, we were scared of taking him across the road as we didn’t know who was next to be shot, but we braced up and carried him across the road and put him on a bike with another student riding with him to Lulu Briggs (Our School hospital). I ran down with other students to Lulu briggs as it was close by. On getting there, the doctor said he had no pulse, but asked us to stay out of the room. Minutes later after administering CPR, he was declared dead by 1.46pm.
At this point, the tension and agitation among students heightened, a roller bed was brought out and he was placed on it and taken back to the junction. As we approached, the Police kept shooting tear gas at us at point blank range but we kept coming towards them as they retreated.
We placed him on the road and called out to students who were in hiding to come out. His body was taken across to show students and then down to Delta Campus. As we moved to Abuja Campus, part of the students decided we take him back to the road. At this point, I was too weak, tired and sad for the death of my fellow Accounting student and Faculty President, Sir P, so I decided to retreat back to my hostel.
Who shoots at unarmed students? Students that were unarmed but shot by heavily armed Police men and in the process a student was shot to death; who then must have shot him?
Two shots (one at the stomach, the other at the left chest).
Rest in Peace, Sir P.
PS: A student told me he had a video of the shooting when it happened as we were waiting outside Lulu briggs when the CPR was administered, but as he was about sharing it to me via Xender, we heard Sir P has been declared dead. I lost him and couldn’t get the video again as we rushed into the hospital. Please bro, share the video, and don’t be afraid.
N/B: Let the masses know the VC was the first to fire at the students when they went to his house for dialogue, before his securities joined and that was hours before the Nigerian police started theirs. That was how the protest turned from a peaceful protest to a violent one.
Please let the public know the real truth. The VC, PRO and NPF are all liars.
Sent in By BV Helen.
NPF are the most miserable people ever
ReplyDeleteWhy shoot at protesters in the first place?
You gives such stupid orders?
Whoever killed this young promising man will know no happiness from this day
His life shall be in shambles
So pissed!
RIP to the dead.
I keep saying it......police is the number one problem of this country.
DeleteRip
Unfortunately the dead is gone. Very sad. So many insane gun carriers in the Nigerian police.
DeleteWho*
DeleteHelen, why didn't you say what happened between the police and the group of students they were chasing?
DeleteCan you swear that NO student there had a gun? My dear, I have been to uniport and I know that cultists are part of any protest and most of them have guns.
Next time you hear protest, run for your life. Except you kept one in a bank.
Amen to ur prayer
DeleteRIP sir p
RIP is where it ends. I wish you didn't come out for this riot. Final year, with many temptations. If you stayed away, you might still be alive. What a loss.
DeleteAmen. And he shall bury his own children too.
DeleteSince yesterday that I read about the death of this guy, I've been so sad, RIP to him and may God console his parents, friends and family.
Delete*Larry was here*
Sweetheart poster, in all of these, I haven't seen anything the VC has done wrong. Students should have known the consequence of not paying the fees. Not like he increased the fees one week to the exams. I really cannot fault the VC sadly.
DeleteThe police is to be held responsible for the death. Have they issued any statement? Crazy set of people. I wonder why they like to shoot even after many online bashing next thing another one will happen. I think majority of them are on substance.
Bia anonymous 11:46, dnt make any stupid speculation here, I was in ddat crowd and all we did was dance at d junction. No student andd I repeat, no student was armed!
DeleteAnon 13:40, look at how violent you sound. There is no way you can prove that no one had a gun in the crowd. You can only speak for yourself.
DeleteBTW, say no to violence.
Helen Helen i tolled u not to do these it like u dn't want to leave skul. if they ask me i will give ur complet detail. okey bye
DeleteHelen Helen i tolled u not to do these it like u dn't want to leave skul. if they ask me i will give ur complet detail. okey bye
DeleteAnonymous 15:18. I just lol at what u tink is a show of ur intelligence. Ppl like u are d ones who let perpetrators of evil go away with just a slap on the wrist. U were not there, Helen was, I was. And I am can authoritatively say and prove that no student was armed. Pls, dnt make ignorant speculations wen u are not armed with facts. Thank u very much. And as 4 how violent I sound, I'm sorry but ur stupidity is an insult to my murdered colleague and therefore, annoys me
DeleteIs Anon 16.24 in school? Gosh! We have dunces in school. It is told not tolled. God help our country. Stark illiterates graduating out of unis. Instead of studying they are protesting and burning down buildings. Smh!
DeleteRIP To Him
ReplyDeleteRIP Peter. Madam your story is one sided. What do you think happened when some students went inside school to chase people that were already in the class for exams? Did you follow them there to know there was no violence? Did they beat up lecturers?
DeleteEvery rational mind knows that if students agree to protest, they will usually not take it lightly with other students who don't want to protest but write their exams.
Do they have the right to force every student to join them? Do they have the right to beat up anyone because THEY DID that early into the "peaceful" protest. What do you even term violence? Where you Omnipresent all around the campus to know what really happened.
The police had no right to open fire at anyone and this is not a new occurrence when it comes with the Nigerian police. Every Nigerian knows that the police is actually looking for a fire his ammunition, then why go into confrontation with them. Those students that the police were chasing, why didn't they remain within the perimeter of the protest?
If you like, rephrase, re write, bring every evidence. This death was a waste, it was preventable,it could have been avoided.
Why didn't the SUG take part in the protest? How. Can you even go and protest when the SUG is not involved? Please and please let us protect ourselves from the harm way with every might in us and then if the bullets meets you up inside your house then we will know it is unavoidable.
In America I keep telling blacks, DO NOT ARGUE WITH THE POLICE. You know when someone is just looking for a black man to kill, DO not give them the opportunity.
I went to uniport by the way and I know what I am saying. Youths and police don't go hand in hand.
After that of Uniuyo, the police was not sanctioned for the student who was shot dead, the students still paidd the increased transport fare to the permanent site and every student still surcharge for the damages. Question, why do we then protest if it yields nothing positive after all. There'll never be anything as yielding as dialogue. If the SUG was active, it wouldn't boil down to this. We pay between 44,000-60,000 in Uniuyo as well and you have one month and a few weeks to pay after which if you don't, you've been assumed to have voluntarily withdrawn or suspended studies. Its a sad situation really, but what is life? Why do we have to put ourselves in dangerous situations?
DeleteMay the Soul of the deceased find peace in the Lord, amen.
Anon 12:03, 1000000 likes. I couldn't have said it better..
DeleteRip sir P, this is why I hate anything that has to do with protest be it peaceful or whatever.
ReplyDeleteThe Vice Chancellor did the right thing by calling security operatives who should know how to do their job.
DeleteI do not fault the vice chancellor one bit.
RIP Peter...
ReplyDeleteStudents, please stay out of any form of protest anytime you see armed policemen/SARS on sight.
This is Nigeria, you can't win this.
Students will always be at the receiving end.
I'm certain you'll all pay reparation fees + the fees you protested against at the end of the day.
What a tragedy! So painful this young man is gone. May God console his family. Protest in Nigeria means exposing ones life to extreme danger. May his soul rest in peace.
ReplyDeleteWhen I read stories like this I thank God for my life. As an undergrad, I never joined school protest, school gyration, school awards, school concerts, school this or that. I never even lived on campus. Once cultists are fighting, I jack bag and go as far away from campus as possible. Many people Thought I was proud. Some accused me of not letting school pass through me. But I had crazy mad fun in uni mehn. With a different set of people and activities.
ReplyDeletePlease, I want to beg all of una. It's not everytime you join school protest. Once it becomes rigorous, Abeg shift oh. Find place perch. See how they've wasted this young man's life for nothing. I feel so bad!!! What a life to waste. Gunshots? Who fits gun shots at students? Only Nigerian police. RIP to him.
I think the reason these cursed army officers are always eager to kill students is borne out of frustration and envy.
ReplyDeleteThey are always aggressive, irrational with students and kill them at the slightest provocation as if students are the reason they are not educated.
The tear gas was enough to repel the students if the protest had turned violent. Why shoot at them?
How will his family handle this? Pikin Wey no sick? Hmm.
Pikin wey no sick o,e no sick at all *sad sigh*
DeleteI pity his parents
I feel so sad about this guy's death. Rest in peace P
ReplyDeleteOMG this is so sad...
ReplyDeleteFlorence Huttons.
So so sad
ReplyDeleteMay God save us from d hands of useless policemen dat only know how to use deir guns on d innocents... Rip to d dead
ReplyDeleteJust a pity. When they know that Port Harcourt has been on the boiling point during the local government elections being held and people are killing themselves on these elections.
ReplyDeleteThe student just choose a wrong day to protest which turned bloody. I pray God comfort the families of Ofurum. Just a pity a generation just wiped away.
I pray they catch the policemen that did this. They are just too stupid with their guns.
Catch policemen ke?...
DeleteIs that even possible?..
Well, what has happened, has happened.
ReplyDeleteMay his soul rest in peace.
We all know how this is going to end, with no one taking responsibility for the killing.
And school fees will still be paid before examinations.
One of my lecturers was of the opinion that education is not for everybody. So, for you to struggle, get admitted and pay your first school fees, it's like signing a T and C document.
You can't say that because things are hard, you won't pay your school fees.
Struggle that same way you always have, get it paid, and avoid stories that touch.
It's, 'No Fees, No Examinations ', everywhere.
I don't know why they're making it sound strange in this case.
As for the NPF; story for another day.
#WhiteDiamondOut
Thank you!...
DeleteIf you don't have money to pay your school fees,go and learn a trade!...
Everyone most not go to a hjgher institution!...
@white diamond exactly what I have been trying to explain to my fellow uniport students........school is not for everybody, don't start school if you know you want things easy.
DeleteGod bless you for this detailed info.
ReplyDeleteLale is now claiming Peter isn't a student. Imagine, how can a faculty president not be a student.
To add salt to injury he is claiming it was a politically motivated protest. Bcos he is a staunch Apc man who feels he is above the law, he is trying to make it seem like wike came for him. Wike who hasn't even said anything abt uniport.
Lale welldone to u but know that he who kills by the sword must die by the sword.
Aluta forever.
The vice Chancellor did the right thing and it is in accordance to the law. He called on the security operatives to do their work because if the students had killed any Lecturer the VC would have been faulted for not securing the school.
DeleteIt is not the VC that will teach the police how to do their job.
Wike who you are calling as your messiah hasn't finished working on all the killings that has been happening in riverstate with his class with Amaechi.
It looks like you people want more students dead. Wike of all people will now come and feel shocked that a student died? Do you know how many people himself and Amaechi has killed in that state this year? If he does that then,i will believe this whole thing is yet another political massacre.
BTW,i hope you know that Rivers police are loyal to wike? So was it the VC that shot the boy? That your who lives by the sword should rather be for wike and his fellow elephant amaechi.
If you people want Uniport to be another APC and PDP massacre ground then divide yourselves and come out and die. Wike or Amachi or Lale will be at home watching on TV. FOOLS! These idiots don't care about us.
Shatap my friend.. bunch of stupid cultists claiming peaceful demonstration..
DeleteCrownwonder pls stop typing unintelligent things, your statements makes no sense coz this has nothing to do with political parties.
Deleteso sad.. I pray God grants his parents and people the fortitude to bear the loss.
ReplyDeleteAnd that weakling of a president(sug) instead of fighting for the rights of the student has gone into hiding out of fear for his life.
ReplyDeleteLale u can arrest all the students but u cannot stop d death that is coming ur way.
Students are praying and fasting on ur head.
Why are you calling the SUG president a weakling? Because he is still alive? So he should come and die in the name of being a lion.
DeleteMy dear, the wise knows when to abstain.
You are stupid! Why don't you go to Uniport now and fight. Idiot. Staying behind your laptop and calling someone a weakling. The SUG knew that the protest was going to turn violent and they knew the school was doing the appropriate thing.
DeleteCrownwonder you are sha a stupid person.. na you wan kill the kain Lale?
DeleteHahahahahaha...
DeleteYou think those praying and fasting will work?...
If I hear!...
Do you know how many Nigerians that have been binding, casting and sending Holy Ghost fire to our politicians?..
Oriegwu!...
Helen, with all due respect to the dead. This young man died for nothing. Absolutely nothing. This is a waste of human life and I expect you and every other person that took part in this VIOLENCE to bury for faces in shame.
ReplyDeleteEven your SUG has come out to deny endorsing this violence.
My younger sisters are year 1 students of Nursing and Biochemistry in Uniport. Way earlier the school administration called a meeting of parents, lecturers and students representative. I remember the way we laughed in the house and said that uniport is now doing PTA meetings which is usually done in secondary schools.
The issue of school fees was the major issue they discussed there. The amount, deadline and mode of payment. MOST parents were shocked that school fees was paid only once a year as against the amount the children collect from them implying that they pay for twice yearly in each semester.
Why am I bringing this up, I just want to tell you that that your protest shouldn't have taken place in the first place. Parents agreed and even made suggestions at this same meeting so,on what grounds are you protesting???? Why didn't you protest immediately after the meeting which was months ago? Parents didn't even protest for the fees as students have been collecting more money from them.
The time came for exams and the school kept to their own part of the bargain and you go on rampage. Will you deny the fact that the university called parents to a meeting? They announced all over the radio and the whole place was packed up full. Even if your own parent or guardian didn't come, you could have gotten information from uniport news or people that attended. Ignorance is not an excuse in LAW.
You started the protest which you claim was peaceful, why did you not add the fact that you went int the departments where some students who have paid there fees were waiting for exams and beat them up? Why did you Omit that part. You people beat up a prof. I even heard that one elderly lecturer Alapiki was severly beaten because he arrived early to conduct his exams before the protest started.
What do you call peaceful??? At this time, the university hadn't called on the security and PETER was still alive. Why assault your fellow students and innocent lectures because of your grievance with VC?
One of my sisters was severely beaten and robbed of her phones by your so called peaceful protesters. Were you following all those boys with camera to prove that they were not molesting people?
What about at the east west road? Innocent road users who don't even know what was happening in the school, you blocked the roads and we're harrasing road users. The boys also stole from innocent citizens.
Helen, with all due respect, you can only speak for yourself. It is not almost impossible to hold anything peaceful in terms of protest in Rivers state. So please, accept that you all didn't have any reason at all to embark on that suicide journey .
The Nigerian police has their reputation in their ass and it is only a stupid person that will go face to face with them for no good reason. Can you kindly tell us the little altercation that took place before the shots were fired? Youths, desist from violence. It is worthless and stupid. The nation is already in a whole lot of trouble and it is only an Iroko tree that will see death and stand. If you want to die, die for a just course.
Peters death was not worth it.
Wetin pesin go come believe? Students sha.
DeleteWow!,,,
DeleteAnon 11:39, 10000 likes. Thank you for saving me the epistle I wanted to type.
DeleteHonestly, The protest did them more harm.
DeleteIf only peter didn't come out, its just too unfortunate, what a loss/Waste.
Rip Peter
Nigerian Police.. Very Useless
DeleteNa wa o. This is serious
DeleteMy friend will you keep quiet. 2days ago you told this same story but said you were admitted in 2003 and your uncle was a lecturer. now you are garnishing it with your sisters being students. who are you deceiving?
DeleteEhennn, Helen. Get ready to pay for damages.
ReplyDeleteThat's why I don't pity any police killed by boko haram.
ReplyDeleteMay he RIP
ReplyDelete779.comment 2016
He was a first class student. Now he is gone. Rip Peter. Since the federal govt won't do anything despite uniport being a federal uni, govt wike has stepped into the matter. Justice for peter
ReplyDeleteFirst class final year student, the more reason he shouldn't have even joined the protest. The devil knows how to work overtime, how come of all the useless boys there the bullets hit him twice.
DeleteThe good people are usually the ones that die in this kind of situation whereby good for nothing boys will live.
Wike is coming into the matter to do what? Wike that is a killer. Do you know how many people he killed in the uni as a viking? Na wah! When you hope on a killer to solve a killing.
Students/youths stop violence, no amount of grammar will bring back the dead.
He may have been targeted, useless scoundrels in uniform.
DeleteHeard the dead boy has already paid his fees o. So why did he join those that ate their school fees and need more time to hussle for the fees?
DeleteAnon 13:16 let thunder castrate you. Wike is a killer yet he is a governor. U must be a fool.
DeleteFoolish Anon 18:43, is he a viking or not? So once you are a gov,you can't kill again.
DeleteMy only regret is that the trigger happy police should kill people like you. Shoot at sight. Ewu Nama.
He was just a sacrificial lamb. That is what happens in cases like this. The innocent people are the ones who suffer it. Sad
DeleteGood to know
ReplyDeleteSo sad.
ReplyDeleteIGP should get in. Are they not supposed to maintain peace and order? Why shooting unarmed students?
So true! Smthin of ds nature happened in 2011 at d Federal Polytechnic, Nekede, over fees. D students paid 4 d damages, but nobody paid 4 d lives of d students dat dey denied killing.
ReplyDeleteI believe there are videos of such out there... Pls some body should start sharing it .. So the dead student will have justice !!!!
ReplyDeleteEyaa...
ReplyDeleteRIP to the dead!....
After all said and done, you people will still pay the 45k!...
Penny wise pound foolish!!...
They will pay 45k and still pay damages, no one will pay for the live lost or bring him back.
DeleteSo so sad ...
ReplyDeleteBefore any one go protesting in Nigeria have it at the back of your mind that you may not return home the way you left . Armed forces in this country don't understand their work ... And you could lose your life over a mere #45,000
It's a bit disturbing how these faculty president guy was the one killed ... Could he have been targeted ?
Rest in peace Paul.
ReplyDeleteI heard d VC On d radio and all he kept lamenting was "some people want to remove me from office for whatever reason"
It may be true.or not.Esp cos as of this morning d Buzz generated cos of this is off the charts.but then again,it should be.a young man died.an unarmed young man.
But in all that have bn said, from what I heard d VC say.I don't get why he didn't let that 10 percent(according to him) take d exams.Esp as its stil the 1st Sememster.yea he argued dat Uniport students have a penchant of graduating without paying school fees.I get that.I also know if u want services,u pay for it.d students should even pay Deir fees before bn allowed into d lecture halls. But then, but then, what happens if some of these students their guardians Nd parents are bn owed salaries???
When things go wrong,Someone is to be held responsible. d VC yes.cos even though he may not have asked dem to shoot, but he is in charge.he and dat police officer dat killed Paul should face d consequences.
And errr, hearing dis VC talk I wasn't impressed.felt like I was listening to a NURTW boss talk and not an elite.
Okbye!
Apparently, a lot of potentials have been lost to gun wielding, tottling and pea-brained policemen. Protests, albeit peacefully staged, is a globally accepted means of political participation, hence every student involved, including the deceased actually had a right to do so regardless of the course, as long as it was a collective decision.
ReplyDeleteThe twist?? Nigerian Policemen are extremely dormant with regards to their mental development so they ultimately resort to physical aggression, oppressiveness, weapon mishandling and stupefied cognitive evaluation as their call to duty. No one can tell or predict the behaviour of any uniformed personnel in Nigeria, an innate form of frustration has eroded their sense of humanity.
At the same time we need to strike a balance when dealing with these men(ace) in black.....Grammar actually doesn't get back a lost soul, so the best bet is to stage a moderately timed peaceful protest and once the message has been passed, everyone disperses peacefully ASAP. Just as thieves wait for a rowdy scenario to operate n get away, these men also wait for a little form of restiveness amongst the protesters so they can vent off their sadness via their triggers and justify or deny it afterwards.
The youths should always stay safe, the present Nigerian system has little or no inclusiveness for the youths.....The state is in a constant battle against the failure of same institutions they created. RIP Peter Ofurum, May God grant you eternal peace and give u a ledger to balance in Heaven.
Li-yon Vls.
Unfortunately we live in a lawless country where nothing will be done to this trigger drunk police man that fired shots. Federal Government,or Rivers State govt should behave as a constituted government and bring the idiots to book! !!!!
ReplyDeleteThis is so sad
ReplyDeleteWhy will they shoot
Can't they use tear gars or water
These police have no regard to life
Hmmmmm so sad.
ReplyDeleteThank You Helen.
ReplyDeleteSad! RIP young man.

This is a reply to the comments that students also carry guns and as such responsible for altercation and death of fellow students.
ReplyDeleteMaybe you are now the mouthpiece of the VC and the policemen. I saw the dead body of one Mr Peter Ofurum and yet the police and Vc are denying the DEATH of a student. Was it a dog that was killed.
In several fora i have advocated that the police keeping peace among civilians shud not be given live ammunition but rather they shud have other protest deterring devices like tear gas, water cannons and rubber bullets or blanks. Not live ammunition.
A pity the VC is still talking about his position. Whether his enemies or the people in his village are after him, that is not important. let him address the fact whether HIS POSITION AS VC IS WORTH THE LIVE AND BLOOD OF ANY STUDENT. UNFORTUNATE STUDENT(S) HAD TO DIE. but protests will always occur. managing them is the true test of leadership. The UNIPORT VC is not a leader. just a figurehead. I would have expected he would come out to condemn the loss of lives of his students but i guess he aint that civilised. Students pls take heart, weigh the situation and continue your studies... God bless you all and may the soul of the departed rest in peace.
Your pointless comment is as useless as the unwarranted protest.
DeleteDid you read that the VC had met with parents and students rep and discussed about the fees before exam came and students who weren't ready for exams decided to cause unrest in the school?
Can you give me a statement of fact as to where the VC went wrong. He did the right thing by upholding fees payment that was agreed on months before exams. He did right by calling the security when he sensed danger.
Did he order the police to kill anyone? Is he supposed to lecture the police on how to perform.
Are you people not tired of reading press release on avoidable deaths? Has such comments brought back any life?
Please go and take several seats. Your grievance should rather be channelled to the cops and the violent students. Two wrongs can never make a right, violence has never solved any problem, instead it creates more.
All these epistles and throwing blame can never bring back the dead.
I am for peace and logical dialogue or legal resolution. I am for prevention of tragedy, I am for building and not destroying. That is the only difference between you and i. Your problem is not the fact that the boy is dead, but the fact that you want to read a statement on his death either by the VC's media team or from the Police PRO. I and other well meaning Nigerians rather wish this young man didn't die, we wish that the students had paid their fees or sought logical solution. We wish for situations like this to be avoided and prevented instead of reading base less and useless press release of how someone that should still be alive died.
I am tired of writing RIP when I should be writing congrats on his convocation. If you are reading this, desist from violence.
Unfortunately, the VC has to talk about his position. WHY? He is ALIVE! Yes! And that is why we too must try and stay alive.
DeleteIf you believe that injustice must be resisted, you have to stay alive to do it. It won't matter how long, if it is worth it, then fight for it for years and with caution.
Nelson Mandela did it for how many years again? Wisdom! An average Nigerian believes in sharp sharp, by fire by force. Economy must be diversified sharp sharp, the VC must Obey sharp sharp afterall we are students.
Students and youths are not even considered in the scheme of things in this country. So stop hyping yourselves! Humble your selves and do what you are supposed to Do, when you are opportune to be in a position to affect the law, begin to change things in a way that is meaningful.
Queen i just said that before them mumu go come bite me say i talk say N45,000 is not much.
ReplyDeleteWhen they tell them to behave in school, they will not hear. Na this one has gone. All the students don dissappear from the school. Who lose now. Poor parents will be gnashing their teeth
Sorry dear,Love me jeje. Reply not for you.
DeleteWe stand by the same principle. No parent will even endorse that. Yet,they are the ones that will cry endless tears.
Your pointless comment is as useless as the unwarranted protest.

Rip peter, they wud ve jst 4get d protest.their own is even good.aleast ur parents were inform abt d fees increase.bt in lagos state university,u will never be informed,u will pay weather u like it or not.God grant peace to our nation nigeria
ReplyDeleteOk Anon 15:43 you are forgiven. Things have gone up in this country. Nothing is coming down again. They should know that every university will increase their fees.
ReplyDeleteSay no to peaceful or violent demonstration. Not worthit all
Why do we have government universities? Who pays the staff? Who funds the projects & infrastructure? The government does. So why the huge emphasis on payment on school fees? Knowing the hard economic times, is this the right time to enforce the no payment, no exam policy? In my days in the government university, a student could continue on. What is withheld until payment is the certificate. There is absolutely no justification for what happened in Uniport
ReplyDeleteNo serious student will come out in the morning he was supposed to write exams and start dancing or protesting! I work in a university and I know how students do everything possible to get their tests or assignments shifted to a later date! Irresponsibility at the highest level!
ReplyDelete
