    8. Nigerians never make meaningful argument. KEYJEH, if you say UNI UYO is more expensive, you back it up with figures. Ok, now does your statement make any sense to you now? I am sure you haven't even gone to any university, you don't know how much they pay just that you want to add a comment.

Meanwhile,is Olabisi Onabanjo a federal university? Is that a uni sef? Someone will be proud of a school with that kind of shrine name. HIan.

I've paid but ober 80 students in my department hasn't. It's not fair. Total of 1st year school fees is btw 149,000 and 155,000..make una check am na. And you can't register courses online without payment of fees... Most of these vc's and school Senate members went to school on scholarship.

  13. Stella d protest is about the payment of school fees deadline. Any students who fail to meet this deadline will have to repeat the entire session which means an extra year. And we are wondering where this new style is coming from knowing fully well that 100level and final year students never owes school...it's all sheer wickedness from the VC even when he can see how bad the economy is with our parents who are being sacked from our companies and civil servants not being paid yet...where are they suppose to get the supposed schools fees barely 3months into the year. It's simply unfair.....UGONMA WOCHA

  16. We were meant to begin exams today, but the school management decided to close the fees portal, and refuse students who have not paid write the exams, causing then to get an extra year.Hence the protest

  17. The 45,000 is for 200level upwards o,the year1 students paid 85,000 and 30,000 for acceptance fee.that aside, they haven't paid all the departmental and faculty fees.and this 85,000 varies according to department and faculty because some departments pay 90k,odas 100.its from year 2 dat u can start paying 45k

  19. Stella Exams are suppose 2 start today and those that haven't paid won't be allowed 2 write hence the protest, mind u d 45k is just statutory, some people in d clinical sciences pay a total of 88k adding d non-statutory,God help us

  20. Stella they r protesting because of a new policy in the school. the school gave Us deadline to pay our fees else no exams for those that didn't pay and most people weren't able to meet up the deadline because they didn't have the money. On Thursday the school shut down their website and many people haven't paid their fees and they want to carry out their threat that if u don't pay fees u will repeat that session

  30. Most times I really wonder about the kind of young minds this great country is producing. Mind you,as an alumnus of unique Uniport,I paid #41,350 as a fresher,#23,650 in my second year,#21350 in 3rd year and #36,650 in my finals. Now,for those of you who are/were so priviledged to attend private schools.....congrats but all fingers are not equal.Probably your father is a senator,be mindful of the fact that some of our parents farm to train us in school, some of us work and school, some of us trade too just to make ends meet.Certain policies made by the school are very appaulling, even when the vice chancellor knows that if you don't clear your outstanding bills you don't receive your certificate. You even paid all yours fees, when you graduate, you pay almost #30000 to collect the result you worked hard for.Fellow Nigerian students, it is not about comparison but fairness. Most of the persons protesting have paid but are doing it for the greater good.I hate violence but over time I have discoveed that it is the most understood language of the leadership of The University of Port-Harcourt. Let's all be reasonable,it is a just cause. If only you have the opportunity to see the fees structure, then you ll understand that beyond all of these, the extortion from these students are unacceptable. Let's Join Our Voices...whether unical,Uniport,unilag,ui.....in the long run ...we remain GREAT NIGERIAN STUDENTS FIGHTING FOR THE GREATER GOOD.Thank you ...just making a common sense
