Professional Bank Robber Explains How The Job Was Made Easy For Him...

A bank robbery suspect on Wednesday disclosed that he had hitch free operations in banks due to carelessness of bankers.

34-year-old Ibrahim Abdulamdi who was paraded by the Lagos State Police Command said he usually went into banks carrying a big bag as though he wanted to pay in bulk cash.

He explained that inside the bulk room, he simply collects money and leaves.
Abdulamdi said it was the same style he adopted when he went into a branch of First City Monument Bank (FCMB) and left the bulk room after stealing N1.250 million.
Explaining how he started stealing from banks, the suspect who was arrested in his room at Tapa Guest House, Ojota, said the whole thing started in 2013, after he lost his job.

He said, “I am not an armed robber. I go into banks to steal not to rob. When I get there I pretended as if I want to pay in some money. For instance when I went into FCMB bank to withdraw money, I went straight to the bulk room.  After monitoring the environment carefully, I saw some money and I collected it. I collected N1.250million.

“It was this year that I went there. I didn’t go there with a pistol. I succeeded in stealing from the bank because the bank operatives were careless.  I went into the bulk room and picked the money. I am not an armed robber. There was nobody there when I went to the bulk room and picked the money. I am telling you exactly what happened.

“Why I say that the bank operatives are careless is because one of the cashiers was reading when I went into the bulk room and she did not see me,” he said.
Although it was alleged that the suspect went into the bank with a hidden pistol, which he brought out and threatened the cashier, Abdulamdi denied the claims, insisting that he was just smart.

Demonstrating how he swapped his polytene bag containing cut-to-size- papers with victims’ own containing money, the suspect said he usually pretended to be asking the cashier’s questions.

“I used different method for different operations, sometimes I swapped the victims’ bag containing money with a look alike bag containing cut-to-size papers.”

    6. Chi exotic i dont think he said he loads money in the bag..according to him, he just exchange his own bag filled with torn paper or whatever is inside with the one that contains money probably that of a customer that came to deposit in bulk. Most at times, people do drop money with cashiers in the bulk room..but only if you are familiar with the person and the bankers know you as a regular customer. And such usually happens if you are in a hurry and cannot wait for them to count but i think it is rare. what you do is go back for your teller or you go back to rectify if there was wahala or shortage during counting. So it is possible for someone to walk in and carry d bag of money in the bulk room.

Me sef wey dey deposit small change..na for inside bulk room i dey deposit o cos no much crowd there.

    7. Bulk room is not restricted. I deposit money in the bulk room, not plenty money o and no staff have ever asked me why i am going to the bulk room. But i think it takes them twice the time to post the money as compared to when you deposit at the counter.

  9. How's that possible. Unless he's stealing customers' money cos after the tellers count the cash,it's kept inside the cubicle or straight to the vault if it's a bulk cash. No teller would leave already counted cash outside. He might succeed in other banks but not access.
